It was early Sunday evening when we decided to try Bella Cucina. When we got there the restaurant…read morewas empty. It's fairly large. Several semi booths surround the restaurant with very plush seating and chairs facing the other way. Several full tables in the center of the restaurant and a large bar in the back. My only complaint about the seating is that it makes you quite a bit lower than the table. I'm 6 foot 3 and my head was just barely above the table. The menu was small, but that's OK. I like a small menu. The hot rolls they begin with were fresh and warm. They could've used a little butter, but other than that they were quite tasty. The clam appetizer that we got was amazing. piled high with clams in the shell and topped with a large amount of chopped clams served in a white wine, buttery, garlicky sauce. My lobster raviolis were tender, full and covered in a delicious sauce. My brother's rigatoni Bolognese was perfectly al dente and covered with plenty of wonderful meat sauce. For dessert, I had a luxurious piece of chocolate upon chocolate cake while my brother enjoyed a raspberry cheesecake. Our server was quite attentive and very friendly. I am happy to say that during the course of our dinner more people did come into the restaurant and by the time we were finishing and were ready to leave there were maybe five or six groups of people eating. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would be happy to go there again.

5/5 - Authentic Italian gem in the heart of West Palm Beach…read more Just had one of the best Italian meals I've had in a while at this spot. The steak and lamb chops were perfectly cooked, and the sauce? All I can say is "WOW." It tasted like it came straight from Nonna's kitchen--rich, fresh, and packed with flavor. The ambiance is cozy and inviting without being stuffy--warm lighting, great music, and that perfect vibe for a date night or catching up with friends. Service was attentive and genuinely friendly; they really know how to make you feel welcome. We closed out the meal with their homemade cannoli, which were the perfect sweet finish. Buon appetito! Highly recommend -- I'll definitely be back soon.

The food was edible, but not nearly as enjoyable as we'd hoped. First off... naming a dessert "Big Dig Chocolate Cake" and then giving such a small slice is honestly ironic. Since we ordered takeout, my husband and I planned to share it, trusting the name--but it didn't live up to that at all. Update: just tasted it and it is not good at all. I ordered the Nonna's lasagna, which was a good portion size, but it was overly salty and lacked that classic Italian seasoning flavor you'd expect. My husband got the chicken parmesan and was pretty disappointed--the sauce tasted like it came straight from a can rather than being homemade. Unfortunately, this wasn't a great experience for us, and we won't be returning.
