It wasn't really that good. It looked good but it was okay. Service was fine and the ambiance was okay.

The place is on the smaller side but there's plenty of tables if you want to dine in. Service was super friendly, Adriana did a great job with recommendations and was very sweet. The food came out completely fresh and quickly. I ordered Arepa La chama - shredded beef, cheese and avocado. Wow the beef was so juicy and flavorful. The arepa was cooked perfectly, almost as good as my grandmothers. The protein amount was generous. I also added two fried eggs which were also cooked great. 5/5 ($10.95 + $2 for fried eggs) Awesome spot with authentic Venezuelan food. It's a shame I don't live close because I'd be in here all of the time. I definitely want to bring my family to try and if you want real Venezuelan food I recommend coming here!

Luckily, we do speak some Spanish as the staff was very limited in English. Neither of us was very hungry so having looked at the menu in advance, we thought we'd get some soup or something small. Turned out that on Sundays, they don't have their regular chicken soup available. However, they do have a Sunday special of Hen Soup (gallina), so that's what I ordered. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich. The soup came in a large bowl. There was ample chicken with various vegetables in it -- some of which I didn't know what they were. I could identify the cabbage and I think a lot of large chunks of either yucca or some sort of potato. The broth was good -- made better when I added some lime juice to it. In addition to the soup, alongside was served a very plain and bland arepa and a hunk of fresh avocado. They also had a small cup of vinegary chopped onions and peppers on the plate. My husband's sandwich turned out to be more like a chicken salad sandwich with a mix of chicken, mayo, and avocado mashed together. He said it was okay. To go, he got a small container of their passion fruit mousse dessert. He ate that later at home. He said that was very good. We were here once many, many years ago. Since then, we've passed by many times and said we needed to return. If we come back, I'd like to try some of their other arepas.

I've driven by El Patio countless times and always said to my husband "we gotta check this place…read moreout". Well we finally did. Once for soup and cappuccino around 2:30 and the last time for an early dinner around 4pm. On both occasions the restaurant was immaculate. And so was the gender less bathroom. The service was efficient and warm, and both servers preferred to speak in Spanish. And that's fine. Their menu shows Mexican dishes as well as Colombian dishes. And then everything else. Our soup the first time was a special. Pumpkin soup right before Halloween. It's a huge bowl and I mean huge not large. It was served hot as requested but was delicious. Our sit down meal was a breaded chicken breast with three - yes - 3 sides! The mashed potatoes were creamy. The yucca was boiled and delicious. We also had a mini chicken empanada in a corn outer. It had a touch of sweetness and was a treat for my tastebuds. I had the broiled salmon in their special sauce. The salmon was prepared closer to well done than any other heat and it was as requested. I'll order that again. Our eyes were bigger than our tummy's because when the chicken soup and veggies came, we asked that it be wrapped to go. There was a 1/4 chicken wing and foot in the container. Again, oversized. At $20+ it could be considered pricey. But once you saw how many ingredients there were and that think of chicken you're feeling it was worth it. We will return without question.

Their patacones are absolutely the best, my favorite is with "plátano maduro", packed with flavor. But that's not all - their Arepas cabimeras are equally impressive, a perfect blend of savory goodness. If you haven't try Chicha this is the place, you will love it. What sets this place apart, aside from the amazing food, is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The food? A solid 5. The service? Maybe a 3 on a good day…read more When I went to check out, I noticed the prices on my bill were higher than what was listed on the menu. I asked for an itemized receipt, and sure enough, some items had been rung up differently. The person at the counter explained that they recently started using Uber Eats, and the upcharged prices were only meant to be for people ordering from Uber--not in the restaurant. He had to call his manager to fix it, so I waited while they sorted it out. I appreciated that they did correct the issue, but it was a bit confusing. But this part of the experience did feel misleading to customers in general. After paying, the cashier went to the back and didn't return for a while. We weren't offered water or drinks while we waited for the food, and when I tried to get someone's attention from the front desk, no one came. Eventually, someone from the kitchen kindly helped us out--huge thanks to her! The food itself was fantastic, and I'd absolutely come back in hopes that it was just an off day. The space inside felt a little quiet and low-energy, and the young man at the counter didn't seem super enthusiastic--but everyone has those days. All in all, great food with room to grow on the service side. I'll definitely give it another try.
