Bought a 2013 chevy tahoe 20k it needed strats, shocks airbags all the way around. I took it to my mechanic. My mechanic told them exactly what it needed. They said they would fix it and then never fixed it bought the truck. Also, with a cracked dashboard, the owner says he's the only one that drove it. It came back with a hole in a dashboard. They don't wanna fix that. I do not recommend buying from these people. have had ongoing issues with my vehicle from day one, never received a call back from the owner , cost me $5k out of my pocket for repairs that should have been addressed prior to selling the vehicle. salesman dan is a nice person but unprofessional when dealing with issues with vehicles. promised me a call back so many times and had zero answers . my vehicle is currently in the repair shop again and no assitance from car spot. warranty that was sold to me is not good at all . i will never purchase from them or recommend anyone ever again. i should have done more research on carspot before my purchase. customer service is horrible - i sent them a recommendation for a purchase and he also had problems with them , i have to contact my attorney about this situation read more

DO NOT BUY FROM CARSPOT!!! PLEASE! This review comes a year over due, because I'm still battling with the issues of the vehicle, problems which, the owner Gary assured me, did not exist before i bought the vehicle. 2002 4runner limited 4x4 less than 150k miles. Decent price point. Mistake one, I bought the car sight-unseen, however assumed the man was honest, because he had many ads on eBay, and they have a pretty strict policy on honest representation of items for sale. Apparently "Gary" is not afraid of fraudulent behavior because he lied through his teeth to get me into this 4runner. I had done a lot of research, and knew every little detail that can go wrong on these vehicles, and asked him about everything! Does it shake over 60mph, does it shake on braking, do all power accessories work, any check engine codes, any major rust, tires in good shape, etc.? He specifically answered each question, with answers like "no i personally drove it 30 miles from ___ to my lot, and it was one of the smoothest I've ever driven!", "tires have 50% tread and look great", "no check engine", "all power works perfectly", "brakes are great", "minimal rust", "looks just like the pictures"! LIES LIES LIES!!!!!! I received the car, after paying $600+ for shipping, when the delivery truck driver had to jump the car, and said it was running when he picked it up from the dealer(meaning "Gary" was well aware that the battery was no good). Further more, Inside - many of the interior lights do not work, the ABS light has been removed - so that it doesn't show failure, check engine light turns on after a few miles(meaning it had been reset by the dead battery), the brakes were so warped it was hard to control the car while braking, there were dents and scratched that were photoshopped out of the pictures(also big knick in windshield), car shook like an earthquake over 55mph, tires were dry rotted to the point of danger(opinion of discount tire), rusted through exhaust to the point of leaking all over(had to completely gut and replace), rear window did not open, power seats worked partially, and so on and so on! A never ending story of woe. Called him 3 or 4 times over the first week of ownership asking for help, and he basically told me to "go F*&k myself, my car my problem" and hung up the phone, every time. I didn't know what to do, so I just started working on it and fixing it. 1 year, $2,000+ dollars in parts, and literally countless hours of labor later, and it is still throwing check engines, still shaking, and literally rusting through in places... I have now words to describe how HORRIBLE of a man and dealership this is! I have no choice, but to cut my losses and sell the car at a substantial loss. Well there is so much to say. Brian was hardworking and had 2 cars ready and waiting for me when I arrived . He even stayed after closing time to assist me. After I drove my beautiful car home with the dealer 30day /1000 mile warranty, within 2 days when it was 8 degrees outside, my heat did not work . I brought it back and they fixed it. Even though they sold it with a faulty heater I was glad it was fixed so for all of this they get 3 stars - BUT WAIT! Then I began feeling that the car wasn't accelerating correctly and felt a lag uphills. I took it to a car dealership to have it checked out to make sure everything was okay - I was told that the rear differential was faulty ! I took it back to Carspot , still within 1000 miles of buying the car and got a lot of run around . Sam, the manager, initially told me that someone there drove it and there's nothing wrong with the car. I called and called without ever getting a return call. After my car was there for a week- YES with me having to get a car rental or take Uber to work, they took it to a mechanic nearby who agrees that there's a problem with the rear differential . Carspot then - Uses MY extended warranty -that I pay for in my car payments - to get the car fixed. To their credit , they paid the deductible - great . 2 weeks and 1 day I did not have my car. I paid for my own rentals and Uber's while having to pay higher car insurance and my car payment. All in all, NOT really worth the stress , money and time . They obviously Do Not thoroughly check out these cars before selling them . I'm glad my car feels good now , but I would never do this again. read more

Went in seeing an older toyota tacoma 4x4, black that looked straight. The starting price was reasonable and i may make an offer for it. If you have credit issues they can make miracles happen. Their selection of vehicles are better than others on the boulevard. You should check them out before buying else where. read more

I do not wish to leave an unflattering review for any company, but with such an absurd situation at hand, I felt as if it were necessary to speak up and stop other people from continuing to put Car Spot Inc in business. The research had been done by a close friend of mine, and with good judgement, she felt as if it appeared reliable. The day following the purchase of the vehicle, she found numerous issues with the car. After bringing this to the dealership's attention, no assistance was received, yet a distasteful negative attitude was given. After a very distraught in-person altercation, a refund was promised, but never given. After all this, we're still left with a vehicle in less than dangerous condition. The mechanic, who was said to have a close relationship with the owner of the dealership had stated that he were to only work on what he had been paid to do. Therefore, this has left someone with a car in an environment that could threaten lives. As a paying customer, they should be treated with respect at the least. It pains me that I cannot rate it any lower than 1 star because it truly doesn't deserve it. read more

A few surprises after leaving the lot, but stood behind csar as far as repairs go

So many things about this place, that one star was a must to write a review! I wouldn't even give it that ! To the salesman and management! Drive 2hrs to get a gift for someone, only to find out when you get home they put the wrong plates on the car! And they made it a no big deal to drive the car back like that, so they could fix it! It took 5days to get the plates in the mail ! So MANY CALLS NOT RETURNED BY LARRY , calling from a different phone cause he wouldn't answer the calls! And John speed talker John that speaks and gives you no chance to express your concern! Took the Vehicle to get it inspected was told about the back tire needed to be changed cause it was no good! It came back with flying passing colors ONLY TO FIND THE TIRE WAS NOT GOOD AND WE SAW IT HAD A NAIL IN IT! Still try to convince us the tire was good and they could just put a plug in it! These guys take the cake when it comes to being a very dishonest dealership. I bought my truck on eBay and went to look at it the next day. That first thing the guy tells me is that the windshield is all cracked up and they would give me $150 off because of that. The listing on eBay said that the tires had 50% tread but in reality they were almost bald. It was listed as a "non-smoker" vehicle but it's obvious they masked the smoke smell by using a strong carpet shampoo because several days later, the smoke smell is very evident. The one fog light didn't work and was half full of water. There were several pieces inside the cab that were either broken or missing and the only excuse the guy would give is " hey, it's a used truck." I told him that they were very dishonest and misleading by listing the truck the way they did and I was able to get him to take $450 off of what I had bid up to on eBay but he wouldn't go a penny more. I told him that it is going to take a lot more than $450 to fix the truck up to the condition that it had been listed in but he wouldn't hear a word of it. I finally decided to purchase the truck and while I was in the office doing the paperwork, at one point 2 guys came in and were all but yelling at me trying to convince me that they were right and I was wrong. I was so glad to finally get out of there but 20 minutes down the road, the check engine light comes on and the engine starts acting strange. I text the sales person about it and he never replied.
