Got a great truck for a reasonable price. Could have gotten a little more for my trade. Overall it was a quick painless experience.

We asked about availability and Diana got back to us quickly. We arranged for a "test sit" to see if I fit inside, and then took it out for a spin. Problem was, it was a bit over our budget, so we sat down with management and hashed out a deal agreeable to both parties. Recently, I took the car to our mechanic to give it the once-over, and he reported it to be in excellent condition, just as QAC had said. No issues other than what one expects from a 10-year old car, and nothing that couldn't be addressed within the next year or so. The team at QAC was extremely helpful, friendly and professional, forthright about costs and budgets, and very flexible in working with us to come to a deal. By far THE BEST car-buying experience in my 60+ years.

I purchased a used 2018 Toyota Highlander from this dealership and within the first two weeks began…read moreexperiencing multiple issues including warning lights, brake switch problems, "braking power low" warnings, and electrical/safety related concerns that at one point left the vehicle unable to start or move properly. When I contacted the dealership for assistance, I explained that I have children and that this was a major safety concern. I also explained that I could not safely get the vehicle there myself and could not afford a tow truck. Initially, I was told they would need to ask the owner about helping with a tow, but nobody ever followed up with me. When I called back, I was then told there was "no way" for them to get a tow arranged. Because of this, I was forced to manually bypass the warning/code issues myself just to get the vehicle drivable enough to make it from Mount Vernon to Lynnwood. During that drive, I had no functioning brake lights or turn signals, which made the situation even more dangerous. Despite explaining all of this, I felt my concerns were brushed off. When I finally arrived, I was told they "didn't HAVE to help" me, but that they would once the vehicle was there. At one point, after expressing frustration and mentioning possible legal action, I was also told that if I pursued that route they would not help me or fix the issue. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have also discovered that both the engine air filter and cabin air filter were extremely dirty and appeared to have been neglected for quite some time. These are basic maintenance items that should have been inspected or replaced prior to sale. I also later learned the vehicle originated from Canada, which explained why there was limited history available through Carfax. While I did notice scratches and dents at the time of purchase, I was disappointed to later realize there may have been additional history I was unable to fully verify beforehand because Canadian vehicle history does not always appear the same way on U.S. reports. To be fair, the dealership ultimately did fix the issue and paid for the repair. However, the way the situation was handled from the beginning -- especially considering the safety concerns involved -- left me with very little trust in this business moving forward. What makes this even more disappointing is that I traded in my nearly brand new Toyota with only around 25,000 miles on it because I trusted this dealership and expected the vehicle I purchased to be properly inspected and reliable. I would have never traded in my dependable, nearly new vehicle for something this unreliable had I known the condition this vehicle was actually in. I understand that once a used vehicle leaves the lot, responsibility largely falls on the buyer. However, customers still expect vehicles to receive thorough inspections and to be reasonably safe and reliable at the time of sale. Unfortunately, this experience was stressful, disappointing, and has left me questioning how carefully these vehicles are actually inspected before being sold.

They did this in a timely manner and for a very reasonable price. Recently we were on our way from Anacortes to Idaho to meet up with family. While inspecting the wheels I noticed a leak on our rear axel. I called Freightliner and Keith answered the phone. He said that while he did not have time in the schedule he was willing to look at the problem to diagnose what the problem was. Keith spent a few minutes tightening some bolts and checking the fluid levels and sent us on our way with confidence. Thank you Keith for being a great guy willing to help us out in a pinch, and thank you Freightliner for fostering a culture that allows him to do that. My only wish for this location is that they had more time for RV service since it can take a while to get in a get a problem solved.

I recently had the dash air on my motor home repaired at Valley Freightliner and the service was excellent. From the time I first called until I drove away with the repairs completed every person with whom I spoke was totally courteous and knowledgeable. A particularly nice service is a personal update each morning via email explaining what has been done the previous day and what is planned for this. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle the service representative provided me with a thorough explanation of work done as well as a detailed review of the charges. The final charges were exactly as I had been quoted at the beginning. When I asked for some extra information to be included on the invoice. The service representative did not ask why I would need such information or imply it was inconvenient. She simply re-prepared my invoice with a smile. Sometimes little things can tell a great deal about a company. After driving home with my air conditioner working perfectly I opened the access panels to see the new parts. Just curiosity. I noticed a couple of original hoses now had sections of large wire spaghetti secured over the hose. These were hoses not connected to this repair. It took me a minute to figure that out. The technician working on my air conditioner had apparently noticed that the hoses had been rubbing on frame structure. He took the initiative to protect those hoses from damage. Not a big thing but a nice extra that says a great deal about that technician and about Valley Freightliner.

I would recommend Five Star to anyone wanting to be satisfied with such an important purchase such as a car vehicle for one's life and family. A crew of very nice and authentic people. Not only was the bad sensor replaced but both sensors were replaced for good measure as well as an oil change, and engine test, NO CHARGE!! I was in and out in an hour. They legally had no obligation to repair anything after I left the lot as per our agreement but nonetheless... never had a dealer actually show that much care and decency. ...TRULY EXCEPTIONAL! I always get talked down to by people when car shopping since I'm a 5 foot tall female who always wants a new truck lol. Strangers don't realize I will rip them to shreds when talking about trucks, motors, trannys, lifts, rear ends, tuning, etc... Talking to the guys here was instantly like talking to old friends that I've known for years. It was almost bizarre watching my husband interact with them, you would think they had all been friends since childhood, except we just met them lol! They didn't try to show me a single thing I didn't want. They were dead honest about what was wrong with the truck I decided on. Funny thing, because we were actually there for another truck for my husband. What can I say... Happy wife, happy life?!?! They let my daughters play with the shop cat! The owner actually had an entire conversation with my daughters about how long he's had the cat and all that good stuff. They had CLEAN toy cars in the office ready for the kids to play with, and were just as kind to my girls as they were to me and my husband. We liked them so much and they offered us such a killer deal, we didn't just buy a truck for me, we bought a wakeboard boat for the husband too! And knowing what my husband wants, they are now on the hunt for my husband's dream truck, and you better believe we'll come buy it from them. Oh yeah... Just because it's important to moms with kids... The bathroom was perfectly clean and it's not like the other used car lots where there's junk and cigarette butts all over the ground. The whole place is clean.

We paid cash in full for the vehicle. CarMax had no problem taking the money from our account immediately, yet when significant issues were discovered shortly after the purchase, the process of getting our money back was anything but immediate. After taking the Mercedes to the dealership for a thorough inspection, we discovered multiple issues that would cost more than $10,000 to repair. These were not minor cosmetic concerns--they were significant mechanical issues that made us completely uncomfortable keeping the vehicle. We promptly decided to return the car under CarMax's return policy. However, when we went to return it on Thursday, we were told that the soonest CarMax could issue our refund check was Monday. That is incredibly frustrating when you consider that CarMax was able to take our money immediately when we purchased the vehicle. We paid cash specifically so we could have the flexibility to purchase a reliable vehicle for our son, who is extremely excited about finally being able to drive. Instead, because CarMax could immediately withdraw our money but could not immediately return it, we are left without access to those funds for several days and unable to move forward with purchasing another vehicle. The customer service was equally disappointing. Denise was extremely unprofessional, and throughout this entire process, I found the staff at the Lynnwood location to be unhelpful and unwilling to take ownership of the situation. We repeatedly had to try to figure things out ourselves rather than feeling like anyone was actually advocating for us as customers. I understand that used vehicles can have issues. What I find unacceptable is the combination of the condition of the vehicle, the significant repair costs discovered almost immediately after purchase, and the lack of urgency and customer service when we tried to return it. Buying a car--especially a first car for your teenage child--should be an exciting experience. Instead, this turned into an incredibly frustrating and stressful one. I would never recommend CarMax Lynnwood based on our experience, and I will not be purchasing another vehicle from CarMax.
