Not only is Mr Lee an honest man with integrity, in this sometimes less than scrupulous industry, but he is fair with his prices.

Didn't make a big deal about it. Made an appointment for an oil change. Brought the car, they told me they couldn't accept my car for an oil change cause they are busy. In the meantime you see two techs sitting around in their phone. Why take the appointments if you can't honor it? My times too valuable for this. Go to Valvoline oil change on northern. Awsome service. In and out within 15mins without an appointment!!

I had a Kafka-esque, surreal experience at the Pep Boys in Bayside NY (204-11 Northern Blvd, 11361)…read moreon April 18 2026. My bottom line is that it's OK for people to go there for tires or a battery but not anything else, thank you. Here's the back story: I had been at this Pep Boys twice before with no problem - once for tires and once for spark plugs. I have a 2011 Honda Pilot. On April 18 I made an appointment for two oil leaks, the "VTEC Solenoid" and valve cover gasket. Showed up at 9 a.m. as planned to drop off the car. Talked to the guy up front, explained that I was there for two oil leak repairs. He ordered the parts on the phone. Said it would be a five hour job once they get the parts. Not a cheap job - well over $1,000. He said car would probably be ready mid-afternoon. I said I'm not staying and will come back. Here's where things started to go weird. About a half out later I get an email from Pep Boys stating "Let's Reschedule Your Appointment." I thought 'That's strange' but didn't worry about it. And, went home. Around 1pm I thought it would be a good idea to go back to Pep Boys. When I got there around 1:30 sat down in the waiting room. The same manager who I talked to in the morning is running back and forth from the garage to the front desk. We make eye contact. Around 3 pm I'm thinking what's up with the car. I look in the work area and my car is not there. Maybe it's finished I think. I circle around the building, however, and my car is still parked in the same spot outside where I left it in the morning. Curious, I go inside and speak to the same manager again. I ask what's up with the car? He says they are still waiting for one part. Wow. They never called me on my cell to inform me there was a delay in getting a part. He never said a word when spotting me in the waiting room. It's now almost 3pm and even if they get the part, if it's really a five hour job, there's no way it's going to get done that day. He must realize that too but says nothing. Now the place was very busy doing tires and whatever else. I can understand juggling things can be difficult. Maybe they were so busy they didn't have time to handle the oil leak job. If that's the case, just tell me in the morning or at some point. But not to say anything is really rude and unprofessional. I basically wasted my whole day and left with two oil leaks unrepaired (one near the alternator which was the bigger problem). Did I yet at the manager? No. I felt sorry for him. Just asked for my keys and left. Do not go there unless it is an emergency.

It's great that it's open 24 hours. We had a flat and got to the shop around 9pm. The customer service was horrible. I felt stereotyped and rushed. Just to sum up everything, anytime we asked a question the guy got mad or frustrated with us to the point I had to tell my girl to go back in the car. Fast forward he gave us the wrong Zelle number because the one he gave Zelle said it was overused. When he gave us the new number, I asked was this the right number and he answered with frustration. I asked why are you so mad at us, what did we do wrong. He brushed me off and went to get a tool, a drill and came back and demanded me to pay or he will take the tire off. I said why are you disrespecting us, than my girl reminded me that it's late and to don't entertain him, so I just sent the Zelle. I sent the money and it showed "All done"! I showed him my phone. He got mad get kept refreshing his phone and repeatedly yelling "where is the money" If anyone has used Zelle, you will know the person receiving it will get a text message in a FEW. He was so angry. When he got it he didn't say anything or a sorry. I understand if I was in the car while I was sending the payment, but I was IN THE SHOP handling the Zelle so why he treating me like I was trying to run off. After the payment my girl asked him for air in the tires because he refused to do it before the payment was sent. So she asked again and he answered annoyed. I asked him why are you being so disrespectful to us and he answered "do you want to leave, than leave" Than he walked off. I walked back in the shop and asked him can he do the air and he put his finger on his mouth and sshhhed me. Basically telling me if I be quiet he'll do it. I was so heated but kept my cool because my girl is tired. I told him he has to treat his customers better. He said okay sorry brushing me off. I asked him if he was doing it because we were black and he didn't answer. He completed the air in the tires than walked off. This was so horrible to endure. As we are leaving we see him welcome the Mexican couple behind us with so much grace SMH. On the car ride home my girl brought up maybe he acted that way because people probably ripped him off and didn't pay that's why he rushed us to pay. I said he should never treat people like criminals because of past customers. Grabbing the drill and threatening to take the tires off because of questions is wild disrespectful. Now granted he most likely is overworked but that has nothing to do with me. If they charging us $90 for USED TIRES than we better get that overpriced beautiful customer service, even if we paid $5 he shouldn't treat people like criminals.

They are outsourcing the work and not even remotely worrying about the quality of the finished product. Their solution to a bad finish is "we can take em back and redo them". Nah fam - my time is way too valuable to be messing with you guys and this redo stuff. This review is based on few things: + they are going to tell you they can turn them around in 1 day... it's a scam to make you think they are going to be of high quality. + the first time they turned them around I noticed lots of running paint that was dried up. + they claim that nobody powdercoats the outer barrel of the wheel yet they advertise wheels that are fully powder coated inside and out. They literally gave me back two tone gradient wheels and didn't bat an eyelash -- the audacity + on the redo I gave them ample time to make sure they provided me with a high quality job only to receive a job worst than the first job. + $150.00 to repair rashed/bent wheel + powdercoat seemed pricey.... For the quality of work, I'd pay $50/wheel -- I'm being generous with that number. These wheels make me want to vomit + take a look at the images I posted so you can get a good idea of the amount of blemishes on these newly refinished (x2) wheels. $653.02 after tax for this job. I'd rather pay a fifth grader this money to give me a splatter job with house paint lol. I'm laughing straight to the bank with this one... can anyone say CHARGEBACKKK?!?! THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT OFFER PROFESSIONAL POWDERCOATING SERVICES. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM -- I learned the hard way ‍ THE END.

His professionalism, honesty, and customer service made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. From our first conversation, Justin took the time to understand my situation and even recommended the best rental car option to make sure I was covered for the entire repair process. I truly appreciated his transparency. I've had vehicles with less damage take over a month to repair, so when he confidently told me my car would be ready in about two weeks, I was pleasantly surprised. They ended up finishing just three days later than originally estimated, which was still incredibly impressive given the quality of the work. Because I'm active-duty military stationed out of state, I wasn't able to pick up my car as soon as it was ready. I communicated my availability, and Justin and his team were more than accommodating. When I arrived, my car was washed, detailed, and waiting for me. The quality of the repairs exceeded my expectations. My car looks absolutely amazing, and you can tell they take pride in their craftsmanship. It's not easy trusting someone with your vehicle, but Justin and his team treated my car with the same care and attention they would their own. If you're looking for a collision shop that's honest, efficient, communicates well, and delivers exceptional results, look no further than Bayside Collision Shop. I reached out the next day and Arthur accused me that I did the damage overnight and I'm bringing it back on him. I was shocked by his angry & unprofessional response, especially since he said he guarantees his work. He said he would try to buff it out, and well, that didn't help. I took it to another body shop to have it looked at. I was told they painted the entire quarter panel which extended beyond the damage to try blend it in. Which created more imperfections and blistering. For the amount he charged I expected quality work and didn't receive it. Learn from my mistake, don't pay cash and look at it under a bright light and so you can see the true quality of work.
