My wife and I were looking for something sweet to take back to our hotel room for a treat and stumbled upon Capy. We walked in at 4:00 on a Sunday and there was no line. They primarily sell cakes or cake slices. Each slice was 7.00. I had a slice of cookies and cream, my wife had the strawberry. We both felt like the cake was very light, which isn't a bad thing. Would have liked a more rounded selection of baked goods. Definitely a worthwhile option in Little Italy. All depends on what you're in the mood for.

Great dessert shop in between Chinatown/Little Italy that specializes in Tres Leches cakes of all things. It was nice that we were provided sampes of the Pina Colada cake when we entered but I was really overwhelemed by the sheer variety of cakes that I didn't get a sample. The staff was really nice when I asked which one was her favorite but I ended up with a slice of the Dulce Tres Leches. It was delicious, the sponge was moist and wasnt too sweet. I will definitely come back and try other flavors!

Coconut Tres Leches. Different style being not that moist. Alright. $7 (including tax)

Decided to stop in here after having dinner on the way to the Canal Street subway stop having passed by this spot a couple times. Capy is apparently a Tres Leches cake chain originally found in Mexico in the '80s with a couple locations in New York around the various boroughs with more locations it seems in Queens and the outer boroughs compared to Manhattan which makes sense because of the style/origin of said cake. It's usually a very moist cake which is almost sopping wet and is quite sweet. People inside were nice and its a small corner shop. I do think that they should be a sign displaying the prices for the cake but apparently all the slices are $7 and I'm not sure about the full cakes as I didn't buy one of course. I decided to get the Coconut and the woman working there after she said that it was one of her favorites. I brought it home and tried it. This was very different from most tres leches. It was a lot less moist outside of the cream being actually slightly dry. I don't think it's because the cake was old or anything but just a very different style compared to most and I both didn't expect it and did not prefer it. Apparently the coconut one is one of the more moist ones and I can't imagine the drier versions. I think that Tres Leches Cafe on the Lower East Side is a better representation of what you normally find for this dessert and is just tastier but this can definitely come down to preferences. In short, if you're looking for a lighter less sweet and less soft version of tres leches, I'd go here but if you're looking for a more representative tres leches and cheaper, there's definitely a lot better spots. The ratings are a bit more accurate at their other locations being more like a mid 3 rather than the 4.5 that's here. 3.3

I thought I didn't like tres leches cakes, but I was wrong! My friends raved about this place, so we stopped by after dinner in Chinatown, and I was shooketh!! I thought I really wouldn't enjoy tres leches cakes (I'm such a basic Martha's cake girl, lol), but Capy proved me wrong! I was stuck between ordering the oreo or chocolate slice, and ended up choosing the oreo, and the staff gave me a chocolate slice on the house! They also basically gave a slice on the house to my other group of friends, so they are extremely generous! They have seating inside and a restroom, but it does tend to get crowded quickly! The price of each slice was about $7.

I always past by the store before noon so I was so excited to try the place during a night out. The employees were very welcoming and will pride suggestions based on your preferences. If you want cakes or flans, this is the place to be. The store is minimalist, brightly lite so you can see all the products clearly. There is a wrap around counter with a refrigerated display case. In the corners of the store, there are stands for truffles and cookies. There is no sitting area. I got a flan since I been craving for one. My friend gifted me a slice of chocolate cake. That day, the store gave a complimentary slice of key lime cake. Thank you! Flan was great. The chocolate cake and key lime cake were a bit dry for me. If you get a chance, try it yourself.

I wanted to get a birthday cake for my husband, but I didn't want to get the typical cake. I found capy and was intrigued by the tres leches cakes so I figured let's give it a try! When we walked in, we were greeted immediately. The woman was super nice and let us have some samples. We decided to get the choco caramel which she said was a popular choice. Before I paid, she asked me if I wanted to have something written on the cake. She actually wrote it on a ribbon and added to the top of the cake. Super cute. At check out, she even gave us a slice of free cake with our cake purchase. Will be coming back again!

We wondered into Capy as we were in the Little Italy area early before our dinner reservation down the street. Service here was really nice counter service. Table seating is pretty limited, but we just wanted a quick bite of cake. We ordered their tiramisu tres leches cake for around $10 after tax and found it to be pretty good. It was nice, moist and flavorful! I really liked the cake, but the ambience inside just felt weird and sterile yet, but off. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but cake is great to grab to-go.

While walking by the Little Italy sign, I stumbled upon Capy, a Spanish cake shop chain with several locations in different boroughs. The shop has a cute interior, and I decided to try the $7 fruit slice cake made with fresh peaches, pineapples, grapes, and other fruits. They offer both whole cakes and individual slices, and there are four tables available for dine-in customers. The restroom is also available, but the staff needs to unlock it for you. At checkout, I noticed a tipping option on the screen and was even asked by the staff if I wanted to add a tip. It was a bit strange to me as the staff wasn't a waitress, and it made me question if the chain pays their employees enough. Unfortunately, this was the first time I had encountered this situation and it led me to drop a star in my rating. Besides the fruit slice cake, they also offer jelly, cookies, cheesecake, and ice cream. The staff was nice to give a sample of their velvet cake and it was not too sweet. There type of cake are created to be moist inside. While I prefer a drier texture, they suggested other flavors like chocolate caramel, coconut, and strawberry for those who like a wetter texture. Overall, the pricing is reasonable for the area, and I recommend stopping by if you're looking for a unique dessert experience.

Great customer service, clean establishment, friendly staff, and a large selection of cakes/desserts to choose from. I stumbled across Capy on a whim as I was surprised they had a location in Little Italy. Upon entering, I was greeted by the friendly staff who also offered samples. They sold cakes by the whole and also individual slices. I purchased a slice of tiramisu and cookies and cream tres leches to try and the staff was so kind to give me a coconut slice on the house! All the slices tasted amazing, moist, and wasn't overly sweet. If you're not a fan of "wet" cakes this might not be for you but if you're a fan of tres leches then definitely stop by!

Capy is a Mexican dessert place. It's a chain in Mexico. This is what the nice woman working there told me. They had a lot of cakes and they're known for tres leche cake. I wanted the flan. It cost $5.50. It was really good. The location is in Little Italy. They have more locations on the area too.

Small cake spot in Little Italy. The exterior was very eye catching so I decided to check it out. Turns out they sell tres leche cake in many flavors. I chose the mango slice which was almost $8 with tax. Overall, not a bad slice of cake but I did it expect it to be a little more moist. There's some seats in the back for you to sit down and enjoy if you choose which I thought was nice since it's slapped in a busy area in Chinatown!

Sub par tres leche cake. I wouldn't even call it authentic tres leche. Your better off at your local bodega or vendor who makes authentic tres leche.

Saw this Tres Leches Cake right on Little Italy in Manhattan. They have so many different flavors of Tres Leches cakes. I brought limon and blueberry and they also gave me a free slice of cappuccino. I love the blueberry and cappuccino cakes, but my sister likes the limon more lol. Also I got some bon bon flavors are [Jack Daniels, banana foster, strawberry sorbet, red velvet, pomegranate, mocha madness] I can't even wait to try their other flavors. It's a great newest addition to little Italy. I found out they also have a 2nd location at sunset park Brooklyn. Prices are $7.00 a slice Mini flans Bon bons 6pcs for $22.00 Whole cakes range around $30 and up Nearby trains D,B to Grand st or RNQWJ6 to canal st Cash/Cards Only take out

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
