We recently got married on May 8th, 2026 and I cannot say enough about our experience. First off, Steve is amazing at communicating and he gets things done right off the bat. The staff at Capulet is great, as well. I knew I wanted our wedding at Capulet and didn't even bother to tour any other venue and I am so happy we did. The building itself is absolutely stunning and you can't beat having a mezzanine AND a rooftop all in one venue. Of course having a wedding in New Orleans comes with challenges...especially in the spring. Rain quickly became an issue and the day before our wedding we had to rent a tent last minute for the rooftop. Steve worked with us in getting this done in a timely fashion and our guests continue to talk about how nice it was upstairs. While the rooftop cocktail hour was a hit, the food was as well. So many of our friends and family raved about the items we had on our menu and even though my husband and I only ate a tiny bit...I can certainly say EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. Our signature drinks which were a French 75 and Old Fashioned were so good, too. Our guests couldn't get enough!  All in all, 10/10 experience and I wish we could relive our night all over again. It truly was more magical than I ever envisioned.  If you're looking for a beautiful venue with the most gorgeous industrial but quaint architecture, look no further...you have found THE place and I have no doubt you'll enjoy your ENTIRE experience just as we did.  Thank you so much Steve for making our dream come true! First time visiting Calulet on Dauphine Street and wow--what a great find. I stopped by for happy hour and live music, and the ambiance was absolutely on point. Unbeatable food, unbeatable vibe. This place has a dedicated gluten-free fryer! What a pleasure, to have a decadent, fried chicken sandwich (and not feel at all ill, zero cross-contamination). This baby is huge, too--more than enough for one meal if you're ravenous, probably two if you're not. The Brussels sprouts are crispy and well-seasoned, as are the fries (generous portions there too, various options for house-made seasonings and condiments). Happy hour specials are unbeatable. There's live music every night--chill enough on a Monday to bring my laptop and get some work done. Bartenders are great and unexpectedly friendly. Love the spacious, curated groupings of chairs and sofas, which means you can have an intimate gathering in public, or, like me, have some space to yourself. You can never go wrong with this place. It's attached to my coworking space and I'm thrilled to have a place to let loose at the end of the day. The killer happy hour specials include a $5 cocktail of the day and bubbles also for $5 a glass. You can get a substantial plate of fries for $1 with the purchase of the a drink. I usually end up splurging for their Tom Yum inspired cocktail. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly and there's live music at 6:30 most days if not all. read more

I came on a Thursday night with a friend and listened to some delightful live music. I ordered the Cucamonga which was so good I had to get another. For small bites, I tried the Broccoli Falafel and Fries which were both delicious. You order online through a QR code on the table as opposed to having a waiter or waitress. Capulet has the slowest internet especially for a restaurant that was less than half full. We ended up having to go to the bar to order food, which pissed off the bartender for reasons unknown. Then waitress basically threw appetizer plates at us, questioned if we really needed clean silverware, and when we asked for water we were told to get it from the bar. I started my dining experience with the minty-tini, which was simply incredible. The mint and chocolate were obvious, yet not overpowering. I savored every sip! It's great for music since there's no TV's but the service is ....horrible. I waited almost 1.5 hours for an order of Brussels sprouts. It never showed up even after I asked 2 servers and the bartender. After I waiting an additional 35 minutes to have the item removed from my bill it never happened. Very disappointing. This place has been on my radar for a while due to its vegetarian forward menu. Finally made it happy hour to take advantage of their reduced price drinks and food. Like it so much we decided to order likely half the menu to take home to eat later. The staff was super friendly and they have a barcode system which you can order from your table and it comes right out. I can't believe it's taken me this long but I'll be back to try out the free musical acts (Tuesday-Thursday) and drag bingo/trivia (Monday). On the weekends it's only Open for special events . Had the best time here! It is a wonderful space with a rooftop area. This space is also available for rent for events. We came in and sat wherever we wanted. The band was setting up while we arrived. They usually have music starting at 6 PM or some type of entertainment. We started off with some refreshing cocktails. I love the Beet It Margarita. It was unique yet yummy. We also had Best Fronds too. I think that's the drink's name. It was so good. It was like a pina colada but 10000 times better. We got some apps like the crab cakes, broccoli and fried cauliflower. Yet another welcome addition to the neighborhood. How good is a place if, before you leave the place you are already anticipating your next visit? That was my experience with Capulet. I went there to pick up lunch to go. I had the Kimchi BLT with a side of broccoli falafel. The Kimchi BLT was so simple but so flavorful. The broccoli falafel was also great. First, the staff described this dish so simply and perfectly; all the falafel flavor with a very different texture. The outside texture is crisp but the inside is soft. I want to call it like a broccoli mash as it is similar to what might be inside a popper. The accompanying basil lime cashew cream just took it to the next level cutting the grease from the fry as well as the inside's thick mash texture. Just.so.good. I am definitely interested in trying some other dishes but the cocktails really had me intrigued as well. Plus it just seems like a great place to hang out. The staff is young and excited about being there. The space gets great light and has multiple seating options (bar, table, and couches). When I visited they were only open til 3pm but there was word they may start experimenting with one night being open til 7. Oh and this space is available to rent and seems like an awesome place for birthdays, showers, as well as upcoming corporate holiday events. My husband and I have Celiac Disease and we're vegetarians. We visited Capulet three days in a row on our trip to New Orleans and would've kept coming back if they were open on weekends. My review is for a private party and the use of this space as an event space. As a venue this is top notch spot. There are a lot of different spaces and plenty of room. We were able to use the main room, the roof top and the loft area. It was fun to explore the building and use the different spaces. For any event this would be a great way to differentiate spaces. If you're an artist they also have a jam session on Thursday as well were you can hit the stage. The happy hour menu is only for drinks no food. I was going to start off this review with a spiffy quote from Romeo and Juliet, but I think I'm going to save that for my Montague review. I was in the area and it was well past lunchtime when I realized I was starving. A quick search revealed this place and, although I had heard something about it, I didn't know much when I decided to have lunch here. As I said it was late, so the huge space was mostly empty except for a few people enjoying some drinks at the bar. This is a "walk up and order" type of place, so after looking over the menu, I decided on a chicken salad sandwich. This spot mostly has sandwiches and I think that they also have a few breakfast items. The sandwich was great! There was a super generous serving of chicken on it, to the point where it was falling off, so that's always a plus with me. It wasn't "mayo heavy" like other chicken salad tends to be and the bread was perfect- I think it was buttered before it was toasted. The chicken itself was tender and juicy with a lot of flavor and I thought that the craisins were a really nice touch. I always love additions that you might never think to add, but turn out to be perfect. Capulet is mainly an event space, so they are closed by 3 every day and they are completely closed on weekends. It's basically the perfect spot to grab breakfast and lunch on a work day. If I lived in the neighborhood I know that I would probably be here all the time. read more

My family and I walked from the touristy French Quarters to this place for some lunch. They have a brekkies menu and a lunch menu. I ordered the roast beef sandwich but they were out. Instead, we tried the kim chi sandwich on sourdough and the turkey and apple sandwich. Both tasted great and had a nice crunch but was too oily on the outside. The space is modern and large and looks like an art gallery. While I was there, I kept thinking to myself: "this totally looks like a modern place you could host a wedding at." And lo and behold, The Knot has informed me that you can. I liked the modern bathroom and the minimalist feel of the space. The menu had several beers, kombucha and tea options. When you hear the name "Capulet," you automatically think of Juliet from Romeo and Juliet. As a wedding venue, that's pretty cute/romantic. The front area has a small nook with a couch and a shelf. It is a cute spot to sit for a meeting, have a drink, and people-watch. The space is very modern, unlike the historic neighborhood it's in. This place is a blank canvas whose openness and airiness leaves a lot of room for your creativity and imagination to flow. The space can be transformed into so many things so I can definitely see how it may be a popular event venue. read more

Went a few weeks ago on Thursday night for the evening happy hour. I started my meal with the cauliflower, and honestly, I would never have thought that cauliflower could be so freaking addictive! I had the Bloody Mary beef sandwich, which has pickled veggies in it and is grilled. Very tasty! My friend had the fried tofu salad and seemed very happy with it. I had an old fashioned for my cocktail, which was a wonderful choice :) That fried pickled cauliflower though... I am still having dreams about that :) The staff was very attentive and friendly.
