The Lobsters were steamed perfectly and served with drawn butter. They were 1 1/4 pounders with a shell you could crack. The lobster was sweet. Delicious. See photo. The outside kitchen at their home is well equipped. Before lobsters were served, they made homemade Clam Cakes. They were perfectly cooked with crispy golden exterior and crumbly interior. Outstanding. In addition, NE and Manhattan Clam Chowders were served. My favorite is always the homemade Portuguese inspired "Stuffies" my cousin serves. She prepares them with chopped fresh Quahog clams, finely chopped red pepper, a little bread crumbs, hot sauce, and spices. Then, they are baked in the Quahog half shells. Full of clam bits, they are superior to the ones you get at seafood restaurants that are loaded with bread crumbs. She got the recipe from her Portuguese MIL.

He suggested the snail salad, which at first I was hesitant because ive never tried that, but didnt want to pass the opportunity. Bill was so nice and heated my food for me. I sat down in the deli to enjoy what I came for and I tried the snail salad first. It was so delicious with a lot of flavor. Reminded me of my mom's cole slaw but with snails. Next I tried the clam chowder and that was the best ive ever had. It was so delicious and milky. Lastly I tried the stuffies and they had a really good taste that ive never had before. It reminded me of stuffed crabs a little but the clam flavor was distinct. Im glad I made the trip from Storrs, CT to experience these foods.

I traditionally make baked stuffed lobsters…read moreon Memorial Day Weekend and this year, with six of us partaking, it was especially important to find lobsters that were high-quality and reasonably priced. I found both at Andrade's. I always shop around, and Andrade's prices were great - significantly lower than anything I could find in the area. The lobsters were properly feisty and Nick was very helpful, selecting six two-pounders for us with equal-width tails. (Important for presentation!) I remove the claws, par boil them, and add the meat to the stuffing. (An old trick I learned from Jed Hanley's Fore 'n Aft back in the day.) Although the claws' shells were thick, and actually required a hammer to crack them, I don't think I've ever gotten so much meat. I also bought a pound of peeled and deveined shrimp and a pound of excellent, fresh and sweet scallops for the stuffing. This year's result was among the best I've made. Thanks to Nick, David and all the staff at Andrade's for your help. We'll see you soon.

Ryan, Ben and Owen were all exceptionally helpful and personable. The steamers were the best sized, freshest and tastiest we've had in many years and the lobsters were just as great. Andrade's Catch is going to be our go-to seafood source from now on. Also, you may want to try the Stone Soup Kitchen Portuguese stuffies they have, they are also the best we've had in far too many years. I got some pics of outside and then went in. First thing off the bat was the smell in there. No fishy smell at all from this place which should be the first thing if you smell that smell iis to walk right out. It just smelled like fresh seafood! Now I know somewhat about crabs but I was told to get crabs legs so asked a very polite worker behind the counter and they pointed to the freezer case in the corner of the store. I grabbed 2 clusters of snow crab legs and just started looking around the store in general to see what they had. They had a great selection of fresh and frozen seafood, They had stuffies, and other prepared items. They can even cook you fresh lobsters there for you too! Over all a great mom and pop shop which was super clean inside for all your seafood needs! Great place and can't wait to go back and try some stuffies!
