We were in town for the holidays and stopped by Christmas Eve after a hike. Outside appearance is well kept, and they have wifi information posted at the doorway on your way in! This is a place to place your order to go, but they have seating indoors and on the patio. There are no wait staff, so take care of your own trash! They have utensils and condiments table, and have a couple fridges filled with two liters of soda and cans of alcoholic beverages. FYI. They are card only. NO cash! Staff was very friendly and patient. We only did pizza and drinks in our first order. The pizza was good! Cheese is gooey and good flavors. No complaints and would totally come back again! Pulling in this feels like a fun friendly gathering place, they did a great job adding the outdoor patio last year. Unfortunately the pizza is on par with most gas stations nowadays and the beer prices aren't something you want to stick around and enjoy. The setting says restaurant but the employees would rather look at their phone around the corner than present themselves as someone in the food industry. They don't explain anything and everyone who stays to eat their pizza asks for plates,napkins etc. get told "oh there is plates and stuff inside you can grab". Thin crusts, round pies cut into squares and lots of fresh toppings! The staff brings your order out to you whether dining in or carry out. The pizzas could've been cooked a minute longer to allow the cheese to optimally melt and possibly get that nice brown color to it, which I think brings out more flavor. They were still hot and delicious! They have Pepsi fountain products and a cooler for single serve beers, water, iced coffee and more. Many other menu items like: salads, wings, garlic/ cheese bread, subs. The seating at inside and porch tables was comfortable, iron patio chairs that accommodated bottoms of all sizes. We rented a place in Hocking Hills for the weekend and when checking out the map, we saw that the pizza place was next to our leasing office. I ordered online when we were en route and picked up at the same time we grabbed our keys. We got a large cheese pizza, a salad, and 2 smaller pizzas. Everything was really good. The crust was thin which I wasn't expecting but it was delicious! The website said it was takeout only but when we arrived, there was outdoor seating available. The atmosphere really made me believe that I was in the Caribbean in the 1700s amongst real pirates. We came up yesterday and my hubby ordered the 10" veggie pizza. Nothing to write home about and especially for $15.99. Tourist trap. But the WORSE part is, I got food poisoning. This morning at 4am I woke up having to vomit and I did a LOT and for 3 hrs. It was the food I had there and the worse feeling and throwing up from chills to burning up to three..3 HOURS of throwing up! I had 6 mild wings along with the Captain Ron's salad. (Which for the price, wasn't even worth half the cost). I don't know which item got me so sick but it was from there. My hubby and I both ate the same breakfast that we mamade at our cabin and he had the pizza, he didnt get sick. We come up every year and this was our first try and definitely our last. I wonder when the place was last inspected and what it looks like back in the kitchen. I am still sick and it's Sunday night at 8 o'clock. PS: Customers had left their pop cups out on the picnic tables so noone knew if seats were taken, had a waitress or someone, come clean up, it would've made for some ppl to be able to sit down. The staff is all women so they're afraid of getting robbed stated the girl at the front counter. The food took forever to come. My hot dog was delivered in a cold (right out of the fridge) bun. The husband's meatball sub arrived with pepperoni in it too. The girl at the front counter apologized for the small roll and said she should have taken 50% off but forgot. We think of ourselves as connoisseurs of pizza, and the reviews were correct. We had 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 sausage & mushrooms, onions & green pepper on everything.
