The best fish & chips I have ever tasted. Everything and everyone were great. Would love to have wifi and a beer with my meal.

It's great for small and large groups, for celebrations, for watching sports, and perfect for corporate events! Thanks to my friend for introducing this place to us! It was a pleasure to meet Chef Paulson and his team! Our server was also very friendly and enthusiastic ^^ I love the Asian-inspired menu; Chef Paulson is absolutely talented, and the food is SO AMAZING! I can't wait to visit again. I would recommend the following: Avocado Infused Hummus - The hummus was so light and creamy, and I love the addition of pistachio and pomegranate to this dish! The pita bread was also soft and fluffy Turkey Delight Poutine - Loved this shareable appetizer! Topped with braised turkey, fresh Quebec cheese curd, and crispy kale. That cranberry mayo was definitely chef's kiss! Seafood Linguine - Made with a housemade tomato sauce, and topped with fresh shrimps, Hokkaido scallops, and mussels. A very tasty entrée! Fish & Chips - My friend especially enjoyed this dish Seared haddock (instead of traditionally breaded/deep fried!), served with mushy peas (有驚喜!), coleslaw and tartare sauce. My friends also had the Itaewon Beef Burger with Fries and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs on Rice. Both very tasty according to them ^^

The coffee was severely watered down, the bacon was crispy and the ham was awful . My husband got my eggs and I got his eggs . The potatoes are the little squares from McCain. I decided it'd be cool after Toronto instead of going the same way back to go up east-northeast and come back into the US from the Thousands Islands Bridge to see something different. We arrived in Kingston at dinnertime hungry but unsure what to eat. I looked on Yelp after parking in downtown, but was still unsure. My girlfriend & I needed to use restroom and popped in a hotel. We asked the front desk recommendations. She recommended Dianne's very close walk. We ate outside. It was balmy for Kingston in early June with temps in the 70's F around 8 PM; their average high temp in early June is only upper 60's F (around 20 C). Our server was friendly. She said people are enjoying the first really warm evening of the season. We both got their fish n' chips. It's an Alaskan Pacific haddock as opposed to cod or others used. This is superior to other fish n' chips I've had. This is delicious. Fries were good too, but the fish was the real star and about the best fried fish I've had.

Since we're not locals in the area, we opted for the poutine then my daughter opted for the fish taco. Her food was actually good but rather a very small serving. Either that, or we're used to American-sized servings. The poutine we had was the seafood type since we figured out, they should have amazing seafood since we're near water. Flavor-wise, I think they needed more. The sauce that came with it did not seem to give justice to the dish. Nice location though. And service was good. Food, unfortunately, felt short of my expectations.

While we were wandering we found PJ Murphy's! It's a pub style restaurant with a bar on one side and tables and booths throughout. There are well situated TVs closer to the bar and they were showing the hockey games at the time. It was a cooler day and we had to wait a bit before being seated which was fine because they have a real fireplace right by the doors for you to warm up. They were able to seat our party with some rearranging of tables. The host that led us to our seats warned us that it was a busy night and apologized in advance for the service being slow. It was nice of him to do so but it was actually quite reasonable! Their menu featured many Irish themed dishes. I don't think it was just for St Patty's Day so you get to enjoy it anytime. The Irish stew sounded pretty irresistible and it was! It came plated very stylishly, more than I would have expected for a pub! The stew was very hearty with LOTS of meat and carrots, potatoes, and onions cooked to perfection. There was also a large puff pastry that was served on the side. This was seasoned generously and a wonderful accompaniment. I thought it was pretty unique addition. My boyfriend ordered the Shepherd's Pie. This was another modern plated dish. The pie filling could be seen quite well as there was only a swirl of potatoes in the middle, kind of like whipped cream on a dessert which was not exactly as expected. It was also a much smaller portion than my entree so he wound up eating some of mine. The service really wasn't bad at all! Drinks and food were received in a timely manner and we were offered refills too. When it came time to pay for the cheque, they were willing to let us each pay separate which was no small feat for a table of 7 and was much appreciated by us.
