This place had great food; however, for some reason when I ordered yesterday evening it was terrible. I called to speak to a manager (Jackie) today to let him know of the issue at hand, but he was not willing to assist with fixing the matter. Jackie asked if I still had the food and I told him no because it was no good. He also asked if I called yesterday, which I did not because I was too busy trying to handle other things like watch the super bowl; however, I did call the next day. Most times when people call about their order it's resolved, not them being told I can't do anything to help you! I ordered two L2's (crab/shrimp, garlic butter, medium, and eggs), boudain balls, dumplings, and shrimp fried rice. Mind you this was the same day of the Super Bowl and I live about 45 minutes away, but made an appoint to still get food from here. When I got home and tried to enjoy my meal I found it hard to eat my shrimp due to them being mushy! Everything else I ordered was good, but my 2 L2's. I threw the food away outside due to it not being good. I asked him if he'd like me to go threw the trash to get the food and bring it up there to get my refund or just fix the problem he didn't want to do either. He said I'm not saying do all of that, but at this point sir you are insinuating I'm lying to you about my food because I didn't call as early as you'd liked me to or bring the food back. I used to come here all the time, when I lived nearby now not so much. It really saddens me that this unfortunate incident occurred, which is why I was willing to make the drive to them. Oh my gosh, I am blown away at this place. You pull up and it's in a strip mall, you walk inside and it's super clean has low volume techno pop music playing and people speaking Japanese. It's the wildest combination. But don't get me wrong the food is absolutely delicious. And the staff was so attentive and helpful!! I loved the gloves and apron I was given to dig into my low country boil. By far the best hole in the wall joint I have found in humble yet!! The food is great, service was good but the staff could be more attentive (the reason for four stars). Went on a Friday and there was a crowd but not that bad. I love that they have sinks to wash your hands by the tables so you don't have to go to the restroom. I had crawfish, snow crabs, and shrimp. They were all perfect with the right amount of spice. Before-meal snack: fried, thick flour bread with canned picante sauce (probably from NYC). Veggie salad: beautiful. But, powerfully harsh vinegar ranch dressing from a can. Fried Oysters: rather tasteless and greasy. Fried sweet potato fries: one-note, sweet and bland. I asked for tea warmed in a coffee cup. I received a tepid tall tumbler of tea. I thought it was water, at first. Waitress: shy and didn't communicate much. TVs everywhere tuned to a Soap Opera, Friends, and a women's yack-yack show; no volume on any of them. Rock music playing. I was looking for a place that served snow crabs in the area and pulled this location up on yelp. It seem to have good reviews so thought I'd give it a try. I was so delicious. I ordered one of the boils that included mussels, crab legs and shrimp. I also ordered a pound of crawfish with the captain sauce. It was so flavorful. The spicy was not too spicy. Hidden gem! Recommended by a friend well over 3mths ago & I regret not coming sooner. Visited for the first time on a Friday ( 7pm) & we're immediately greeted & welcomed by the staff. So nice! Bonus, they had several televisions playing the Astros game. We ordered 4lbs of the captain special spicy crawfish. They were huge! I enjoy it when they're servedin a bag. Hot in temperature & they even include bibs and gloves! Usually, most places charge extra for those. They were absolutely delicious! We're used to a ton of heat/spice, so next time we'll definitely order the fire. Even better, crawfish included so much garlic... my fav! Clean establishment, well list, tucked away but so glad we finally checked it out. So glad it's close to home. Run, don't walk, & check out Captain Crawfish now! This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! The pricing of the food is very affordable and better then other crawfish places. I had the L1 which was a half pound of three choices of crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab with the captains sauce. All for 20 bucks! AMAZING!! Even afterwards they even give you GUM! Not mints It's extremely clean the service is great and it's quiet. The only con I would say is that it's hard to find initially but you just have to look in the shopping center and you'll find it. We went today for the first time and the food was excellent. Started off with boudin balls, they were fantastic, hot, breading was so good, and the dipping sauce was even better. Tried this place for the first time and it's VERY good! I got the L3 boiled seafood with captain sauce, fire spicy level. My plate consisted of shrimp, mussels, clams, and crawfish. A pound each for only $35! And you can choose the spicy level! We sat at the bar and had quick service. We didn't know exactly what to expect but the food was sooooo good and service was quick. The atmosphere was low key (it was Sunday) but very impressed with the tasty seafood and drinks. We wanted good seafood and to watch football so they let us change one of their tv channels to watch the game we wanted. A must try! I highly recommend this place! read more

So what can I say..... Good service, attentive waitresses Great boil, got the Cajun flavor, spicy. And boy it had a kick to it! It was just right for me. It wasn't to spicy to the point were it's not edible, but spicy enough to have your nose running and randomly have tears running down your face. Real good flavor. If you don't like the lemon taste on your boil let them know because they throw lemons in their recipe. Will definitely be going back once crawfish reach the right size. read more

Crawfish rice extremely dry even the crawfish. Note: Soy sauce does not help with dry rice. Not sure if it was old or what. The extra soy that was put in the rice made it extremely salty... The shrimp salad was good, except the generic ranch. Super thick and nasty. I did not ask for ranch. So I ate the salad w/o dressing. Place is decorated in a fisherman theme. They have a washing hands station which is a plus considering the place is huge with one restroom for women. read more

"Boy oh boy !!" Man this some good crawdads! I've tried plenty "Viet" style crawfish but these hit the grand slam. My brother and I started with the hush puppies and fried dumplings. Hush puppies were great tasting and the dumplings were also on par. Then came the main event. A pound of crawfish and 2 pounds of shrimp in house style sauce. You know you're in for treat when they give you gloves and bib. Let the tasty messy chaos begin. The shrimp were large and plump and boiled just right. The crawfish were of medium size and heavenly flavored. That house reminded of an elegant bisque. This restaurant taught of it all plastic table cloths and gloves for the mess. They even have a hand wash station so you can wash up afterwards. Really coward thinking on their part. Great and highly recommend. I'll be back for sure. read more

I went here for the first time last night and the place smelled divine when we walked in. The food on a scale from 1 to 10 was a 5 or 6. The wait staff was friendly but did not appear to have any waitstaff experience. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to get our order and the restaurant was not even full. There were only about three tables before us. The food took equally as long to arrive. I think it would've been better had we ordered at a counter and our food was delivered to us. This way it cuts down on the unexperienced waitstaff. Little changes could make this place 5 star. I definitely recommend they get rid of waitstaff and make them counter people, and guest are able to place their order at the counter and then find a seat. They were busy, but we were not waited on for 20 minutes even after asking 3 times. The last person took our drink requests and did not come back. I went in today to give them a try. I dined in. I had the L2. Seafood Combo 2 with mussels, shrimp, snow crab, and blue crab. It comes with corn, potatoes, and sausage. I ordered it spicy and it was very spicy. Next time I will order a medium spice level. The flavor was decent, kind of similar (to my tastebuds) to Swamp City. I recommend you guys try it. We bought 5 pounds of crawfish half of them were dead. Flavor was OK. Sausage was eckridge skin sausage. very mushy and didn't really taste too good when you're eating Cajun food they just did not filter through the crawfish. And then my kids and mother law got the fish basket. Very small portions. read more
