If you have a sweet tooth then you will definitely want to check out this fun, pirate themed candy store on Lincoln Road. Captain Candy Shop is a part of a Spanish chain of candy shops and it opened in February of last year. The first Captain Candy was opened by CEO and company co-founder Gabriel Gjergji during the pandemic in 2020. While he finished school his father stepped in and quickly expanded the company to 11 stores. After opening 30 locations across Europe, they decided to open their first U.S. store in Miami. The store is store is decorated to look like a pirate ship with rope and wood while colorful, oversized sweets are displayed in barrels and treasure chests. Candy is sourced from 14 different countries and they offer more than 120 different kinds. Some of the varieties they offered included fruit merengue, fruit jellies, coconut haystacks, licorice, marshmallows, fudge, gummies, Swedish Bubs, lollipops, and more. Everything looks enticing but it is over $24 a pound and over $6 a quarter pound. Since the candy is oversized it adds up fast. The sweets are pricey but this is a heavy tourist area which generally has higher prices. I wish they had scales in the store so you could get a better idea of the weight so you don't get a nasty surprise at the register.

A fun and nostalgic candy shop in the main shopping area. They have tons of options and it's all set out beautifully! Super nice to walk through and very clean. The process are a bit steep per pound, but it's in the heart of the tourist shopping hot spots, so it's expected. They have my favorite strawberry sour belts!! Overall: B+ Cute nostalgia based candy shop, albeit pricey.

$24/lb of artificial flavored candy, or $6+ per quarter pound. Definitely overpriced price. It's fun to pay a visit to check out their products but it's not worth the money as almost all the sweet stuffs are artificially flavored. I bought one piece of strawberry merengue and one sour gummy bear, it's quarter pound and it's cost ~$7

It's a fun store for a quick walk-through, customer service acknowledge us. The entire store has a very varnish smell to it, the majority of the candy seems like it's been there a very long time and not likely fresh. It's about $6.50 for a quarter pound and the bag they give you is extremely hefty and probably weighs a quarter pound by itself. There is a fun variety so I definitely recommend taking a look but sample before purchase should be an option. The whole vibe is cute, everything's in a treasure chest or barrel, and a wood thing overall.

The best candy store you can imagine, 100s of different types of sweets from different parts of the world. Everything was super fresh too.

Service and food quality both fell well below expectations, very disappointing. The bread was…read moreserved cold, the portions were unreasonably small (we were charged $30 for just three undercooked scallops - pictured), and the overall food quality did not justify the prices. The most concerning issue was with the tomahawk steak. The menu listed it at $57 per pound, but our server--french Italian lady who turned out to be the owner lol--never disclosed the steak's weight before preparing it. This lack of transparency led us to reasonably expect a much lower total, yet we were ultimately charged $180 (and that was just for the steak). At no point were we informed of the ounces or given the opportunity to approve the final price beforehand. In addition, the meat quality was poor, loaded with fat, and did not taste fresh - interactions with management felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Seemed like she grabbed the biggest cut of meat she had, without ever confirming we were ok with it and she decided on 50.5 ounces for two people lol. We ended up leaving over half the steak at the restaurant and due to the poor quality, didn't even bother to take it to go. Overall, this felt more like a MONEY GRAB than a dining experience. I genuinely hoped this place would be good, but based on our visit, I cannot and WILL NOT recommend it to anybody. I STRONGLY suggest others consider dining elsewhere. Save yourself the money / impolite atmosphere.
