When my doctor first sent a prescription through them, I thought it was amazing, it just came right to my house for free! (Plus tip.) However, I was supposed to take a medicine this past Friday, which I thought would be no problem as delivery was scheduled from 6 to 9 that evening. At 10 they still had not arrived. At 10:20 they ended up canceling the delivery. The same thing happened Saturday and then again on Sunday! Now it's Monday and I feel terrible as I still don't have that medicine and I'm trying to get the prescription transferred to Walgreens. No longer same day? I have gotten all of my maintenance meds from capsule without issue. Usually same day but very occasionally next day. Since I'm filling before I'm out that's never a problem. This month I got sick. Started out as a horrible cold and ended up as pneumonia. Last Tuesday morning my doctor called in a prescription for cough medicine because I was coughing so bad my abs hurt. I went to schedule right away but the earliest I could get it was Wednesday between 10 and noon. I spent another night miserable but assumed this was a one off and did not remove them from my doctors system. Yesterday after hours my doctor called in antibiotics because my X-rays came back saying it was pneumonia. The message I received indicated that they would contact me at 10 when the pharmacy opened. At 10am exactly I opened the app and discovered that once again they had no same day delivery slots. And since they don't have a physical location for pick up, all the customer support can do is tell me to transfer it. So now I'm left waiting and hoping the two pharmacies can manage coordinating that before they close at 3pm. Tl;dr? Don't have your doctor call in anything urgent here. Demand has outstripped courier availability. read more

Do NOT use this company! They act like your medication is an Amazon package, something that doesn't really hurt you if it gets delayed by a day or two. I am in urgent need of my medication and Capsule took 6 hours to process my insurance information when I provided them with full pictures of the front and back of the insurance card. The second I called customer service they were able to push it through, meaning if I had never called I don't know that the information ever would have been processed. I've been contacted by four different phone numbers throughout my order (highly disorganized correspondence), I've spent about an hour total on hold, and by the time they finally got it processed (at 6PM), I was told it wouldn't be able to be delivered until the following day, despite their advertised delivery until 9PM in my city. I even asked if I could come pick it up before 9PM and was told I could not. Downright ridiculous - I will NEVER be using this service again, I'll just go pick my medication up the old fashioned way. If they offered me FREE medication and FREE delivery for the rest of my LIFE I would turn it down. The customer service representatives are very caring and pleasant once you get ahold of them, and I would not want any blame to fall to them. The blame falls on this company's infrastructure - from their disorganized website to receiving calls and texts from four different numbers to failing to automatically process my insurance to having no measures in place to follow up with me once the insurance didn't process, the company's INFRASTRUCTURE, which originates from the C-level suits, not the hourly workers on the ground, is HORRIBLE. read more

I don't know how their score never changes and I've noticed they do review bombing to cover bad reviews. I've come close to having seizures thanks to Capsules multi-day delays. Nothing but praise for my experiences with Capsule over the past few months. I love the app and they make getting your medications easy, keeping you well informed every step of the way. It's essentially a mail order service but by way of courier service. This beats waiting in line at Walgreens or CVS. If you live in a building with a doorman or work from home, delivery shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, be careful to time delivery for when you will for sure be home as they make it clear you must be present for the medications to be delivered. would give zero stars. This company is a joke. They are forgetting they are delivering people's medication, and insuring that the delivery is successful is their ONLY task. i've been a customer for the past year and it's seems to be getting worse over time. my medication is very timely so waiting an additional 24 hours makes me physically sick. my last 3 orders were unsuccessful. their only response is, reschedule the following day, which is sometimes more than 24 hours. the drivers don't call or knock on the door when they arrive, then you get a message saying you missed the delivery even if you are at home. I reached out to customer service to ask what's going on. (but don't expect a response for hours and hours) shit happens, maybe it was some technical issue.. after speaking with customer service they insured me the next delivery would be successful (after 3 failed deliveries; for all of which i'm sitting at home on my couch near my front door waiting) this time, the driver came to my WINDOW (never knocked on the door) and pounded so loud i thought the glass was going to break. not one knock, but like 25 repetitive knocks.it scared my kids, they thought someone was trying to break in. honestly so rude and left such a bad taste in my mouth. that kind of energy is not welcome at my house. with capsule; my options are to either be harassed or be ignored. no thank you! rather wait in line at the pharmacy. bye capsule. good luck with that customer service. read more

No offense to Walgreens but why not use a pharmacy that offers same-day FREE delivery, responsive customer service, and text/phone access to pharmacists. I have Medicaid due to Covid-19. As a physician, I was very unimpressed. My patient has had chronic pain issues for many years and needed her meds delivered. The pharmacist was rude and wondered why she hadn't seen a "pain management specialist" (she'd seen several) or "had surgery." I tried to explain she didn't have a surgical issue but then I thought "Who is this person asking these questions?" and I asked "Would you be happier if she simply had her meds filled at CVS or Walgreens?" My medication is now 5 days late. After 6+ phone calls, 3 scheduled delivery times where their courier never showed, and several ridiculous excuses for why they haven't filled my prescription - one being because "the call dropped, so [they] still need more info from [my] doctor" - I am still no closer to having the medications I have taken every day for almost my entire life. Last month's delivery was great, but this month's has been such a nightmare that I will never have anything to do with these ridiculous people again. read more

Capsule used to be amazing. Customer service was great, delivery people were friendly and helpful. Since COVID it has gone downhill- every time (EVERY SINGLE TIME) I schedule a delivery of my meds I get a notification that it couldn't be delivered because no one was home. No one calls me, texts me, knocks on my door. It typically happens 2-3 times before someone actually delivers it. And it's not a delivery instructions issue. This also happens when I request delivery to my workplace. It so incredibly frustrating, nothing changes no matter what I tell Customer Service, and it throws off when I can actually get my meds filled since it takes days to get it delivered. The customer service is brutal. It's convenient getting your meds delivered, it sucks you have to sign for it even though meds are routinely sent in the mail without people signing. But if you ever actually have a specific issue that involves calling them get ready to sit on hold for a good 30-40 minutes. Longer if you need to talk to a pharmacist. And these aren't like the swamped but somehow still cordial pharmacists at Walgreens. These pharmacists act like your issue couldn't matter any less to them. Their attitude the few times I've had to call is hard to capture in words. It's almost like they go out of their way to show their disdain and disinterest for you and your issues. I would think not being customer facing would at least give them some energy for the customer calls they take but I think it's done the exact opposite; it's just conditioned them to be blasé. read more

This is a neighborhood pharmacy in the South Loop, conveniently located on Michigan Avenue with very competitive prices. And please don't fret over parking since the pharmacy has a 15min free parking spot (with flashing lights) right outside the store. They also offer delivery but I haven't used that service myself. I am not sure about you, but I personally am not a big fan of big box pharmacies and they only seem to get bigger. The wait times can be long and the service impersonal. Well Future pharmacy is a breath of fresh air since their staff is very knowledgable an personable. On my last couple of visits, I have interacted with the pharmacy owners who live in the area and also work at the store. They showed genuine interest in me as a customer and offered a generic drug, when available. On another occasion, they recommended I print a manufacturer's coupon when I didn't realize, one was being offered. Although, we don't have pets they also provide drugs for your furry friend. They also have a good variety of Protein bars, wraps, bandages and over the counter drugs. I am all about supporting small business owners, and this is one that has earned my trust and loyalty and I am sure they will earns yours too. read more

As the company seems to be growing, the service had become quite poor. Prior to this it was excellent, so this is disappointing. Over the past several months there has been an issue with essentially every medication order that I have placed. Messages are sent via text as well as via the app and it seems that they can't keep track of both message threads simultaneously. Uncertainty about need (or lack thereof) for Rx prior authorizations, not having common medications in stock and not offering to order them, and most recently not being willing to correspond with insurance companies have been other common issues. Disappointing. I have an allergy to a common inactive ingredient, which I made patently clear when dropping off my prescription. I normally go to Walgreens, but I was filling a prescription from the urgent care clinic down the street and wanted to support a local business. Even though they assured me that they would take care of it, I discovered after some quick online research at home that the medication they gave me did indeed contain that ingredient. After returning to the pharmacy, they gave me a full refund, but did not offer an apology or even take ownership of their lack of due diligence. When I then took my prescription to Walgreens, not only did the pharmacist check the list of inactive ingredients, but their computer system also flagged the allergy issue with this medication. I hate to write a negative review as I really try to support local businesses, but the way they handled this situation was too disappointing -- and potentially dangerous had I taken the medication -- to stay silent. read more

I never wait more than 10 minutes for a prescription, and it is extra convenient if you are coming from the urgent care clinic next door (which is also great). Additionally, there is always parking right in front which makes it easy to get in and out. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to answer questions, offer suggestions, or help with billing/co-pay cards. read more

True Life: I'm In Love With A Pharmacy No, seriously, there simply isn't another pharmacy like this place (or business establishment period). I've been using them for a while now, and recently my inhaler was taken from my front porch (no fault of the pharmacy, just bad neighbors). I was in full blown panic mode; I was 100% out of that inhaler. I spoke/wheezed to Mirian about the situation, and let me tell ya....she got sh*t HANDLED. She stayed an hour past closing (I still feel bad about that), kept calling to check on me breathing situation, and even VOLUNTEERED TO DRIVE IT TO ME HERSELF! (I picked it up the next morning). Y'all....that's beyond customer service. People have life partners that don't give any where near as many f*cks as Mirian gave that day! I was sick. SOOOOOOO sick. I stopped by the Well Future Pharmacy after my visit to the South Loop Immediate Care to fill my prescription. I was too sick to drive to any of the big box stores, and I certainly was in no shape to walk over to Walgreens or Jewel. So, passing by here several times while walking my dogs, I stopped in here. The two owners were in, and they were super sweet. My prescriptions were filled in no time, and took time to answer my groggy questions, even when they didn't make any sense (let's just say having the flu and a nasty respiratory infection don't go hand in hand). Prices were competitive and they accepted my insurance with no issue. I was also told that they offer a free delivery service in the neighborhood should I need anything refilled, which is amazing news, as if you're sick, the last thing you want to do is leave your bed and jammies (and in my case, two adorable sleeping cavaliers that are my bed-side nurses). I'll be ditching the big box stores to have my prescriptions filled here from now on! read more

I began filling my prescriptions here about 3 years ago and I never would've thought a pharmacy would be one of my favorite local businesses. The customer service provided is absolutely stellar! From refill reminders to free delivery, the staff stays more on top of anticipating and fulfilling my needs than I do! They are so kind and lovely to work with too. My mother (who doesn't even live in the area) began using them awhile back as well as they price match her dog's medication with 1-800-PetMeds. They've also started delivering to her home as well which is great since I've recently relocated out of Chicago. Back to Walgreens or CVS for me, and it's definitely my loss! read more

After seeing this new, independent pharmacy in the South Loop, I had my regular prescription transferred over from one of the big chains right away. What I didn't know at the time was that I would be back almost immediately...after getting a skin infection AND shingles in one week! (Hereafter known as: The Worst Week Ever.) The entire staff at Well Future is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They made sure I knew about any side effects or interactions that might be possible with the medications. They filled my prescriptions super fast, and they even offer free delivery! He was aware of my cultural diet restrictions (I'm guessing because of my name) and was able to suggest alternatives, although he's NOT from the same cultural background. I also received an apology about the tech's odd behavior in my earlier review. My meds are always delivered within an hour to the front desk of where I live! I believe customer service is key to any business and this family owned company knows there stuff. They genuinely care about their customers and provide the best and most efficient service I have ever received as far as pharmacy goes. I have a 5 year-old so I am getting antibiotics constantly and they fill the script immediately no questions asked....unlike Walgreens. The woman who works the counter when I go in is always smiling, she recognizes my child, and always asks how we have been. I live in Lincoln Park so it does add some travel time to my day, especially when there is a Walgreens a block from my condo, but I would rather go to them with my business instead of a high priced, long-lined pharmacy with sometimes very rude employees ( not saying they are all rude) but Well Future Pharmacy is always nice and like I said fast! The prices are the same or less than CVS and Walgreens (seriously have no issues with either one but would rather give my business to family owned local businesses). This is a husband/wife duo (good for them) who are unreal. I have only been there twice and still they know my name and everything. After seeing this storefront and looking over the reviews, I decided to fill my prescription here. The owner, Kushal, was very friendly and filled my prescription within five minutes. The cost, indeed, was less than the same product at Walgreens, and the service was great. I talked to him for several minutes, mostly about the items he carries. They're able to fill pet prescriptions, and to get an idea of how much it would cost to do this, I asked him to look up one prescription in particular. And wow, the price was significantly less, like 15-20% less than the vet. He told me that he can get practically anything, including organic vitamins; he even gave me a few vitamin samples to try before committing to a whole bottle. They also recycle old medications which is fantastic. He'll chat with you about any meds that you are taking and address any concerns. My only suggestion would be to add some music in the store so it's not so quiet. Other than that tiny issue, this is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood that offers an excellent personal and local touch in the world of big box pharmacies. read more

I normally have insurance but I am between jobs right now and the new insurance doesn't kick in for a few days. Well Future Pharmacy is very competitive with pricing, and even has a guide to show you how much you will save compared to big box stores on common prescriptions. Very knowledgeable and friendly pharmacists! They will even home deliver your prescription! Last time I wait in line at jewel. Outstanding Service and prices!!! I initially went there because they were kind enough to find me a specific generic medication, which Walgreens had stopped carrying. I live in Rogers Park and it is still worth the trip for the prices and attention to detail. It's owned by a young husband and wife and I believe they work VERY hard to offer stellar service. They also offer next day delivery at no charge. Just make sure you have your order in before noon. (Also, I imagine they have same day for customers who are not so far away.) I went to Walgreens out of necessity the other day to fill an RX. My W card expired that same day. They were not able to honor it. I will not be renewing the card because I wish to support this young couple's business and kind treatment of their customers, and even with the discount, Walgreens is not competitive! Last point, they close early on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays. But thyer go out o f their way to work around that by offering delivery etc. read more
