Sadly, this company has gone downhill the last several years. We still order every now and then hoping things have gotten better! The locations are dirty, the sandwiches have hardly any product, but the people are always very nice. Not sure what has happened to this company in these last years, but they definitely need to clean up the locations. The last two we visited were Smyrna and Middletown. The Smyrna location looked worse than the Middletown location but both need help. read more

Having left the area, I have my son bring me a sub (mostly my fave; the Caprisami) when he comes to visit. Capriotti's is like Wawa, when you leave you always want to visit when you are back in the area. Well worth the money. Ingredients are fresh and the subs are really full. $28 for an 18" sub? Absurd. If you buy food here, you're insane. It's a take out place with no place to even sit while waiting. Chips and sodas are equally outrageous in price because they know you don't want to make another stop. I looked at the menu of my favorite sub shop on Main Street and their Italian subs are so packed that most people say they have enough to deconstruct and make another sandwich. They are also take out only and price is about $1 per inch: 12" 11 95 and 8" 7.95 and it's a local family that has been in Smyrna 100 years. I'm not even sure how Cappriottis can stay in business. Recently ordered 4 large cheese steaks from them. Their cheese steaks are 18 inches long, meaty, and simply delicious. Their store is clean, the staff were nice, and greeted me immediately when walking through the door. As I looked around at the staff that was preparing orders, some looked young, but every one was working in unison effortlessly. read more

I mean, it's Capriotti's. You know they're the only ones who serve a Bobbie, and you know you're going there to get it. Never had to wait too long for my order, never been surprised or disappointed. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the large Italian sub and 2 cookies. The sub was a bit on the dry side for me because the bread is very thick and somewhat hard. I did like that they were able to provide some of the toppings and condiments on the side. They also gave plenty of the toppings and condiments so you don't have to worry about running out and will prob even have leftovers. The cookies were large in size and good. I enjoyed the flavor of the the peanut butter and chocolate chip although the pb one was a bit on the hard/very crunchy side. I would give this place another try but would love to see a softer/fresher roll. read more

Poor quality and way over priced for what you get. we had their signature Thanksgiving on a bun and Capastrami sandwiches. Hardly and pastrami on the Capastrami and the Thanksgiving on a bun had shredded dry Turkey with hardly any cranberry's. Never would i thought i would rate Capriotti's one star. This location is not the best representation of this chain sandwich shop. I ordered an Italian sub the largest size and the bread was hard and it barely had any meat. I'm not sure how often that size is ordered but the bread wasn't fresh and I wouldn't recommend you order that. My dad's family is from Smyrna, so every few years we go back east to visit them. As far back as I can remember we have been going to Capriotti's to get sandwiches. Over the past 25 years or so my tastes haven't changed much in regards to sandwiches, I am a huge fan of a good italian hoagie on crusty bread with fresh deli meats and loaded with all the other good stuff. I have to say when it comes to my sub I can by from Capriotti's but when it comes to my cheesesteaks never again. There sandwiches are so expensive I do expect mine to be on point.
