The restaurant is small with a homey vibe. They have a window open to the kitchen so you can peek and see the chef at work. I also thought it was a nice touch they had documentaries from Italy going on in the background showing some iconic landmarks. We went with the meatballs for appetizer and they were delicious. Very flavorful and the consistency was great. Highly recommend. (comes with a side of bread as well). And for the main course we went with the Regina Margherita pizza and omg this pizza is amazing. First off, it might not look big, but it is very filling. It came out piping hot and the cheese was nice and melted. The first bite transported me right back to Naples. The pizza is absolute perfection. The dough is nice and thin with a perfectly charred crust. The tomato sauce was just divine!! And the mozzarella and basil were just amazingly fresh. Our amazing waiter did recommend we get the Sfogliatella for dessert so we did go with that and he was sooooo right. This is like a puff pastry sea shell with multiple flaky layers stuffed with a citrusy custard and it was perfection. The crunch when you take a bite is addictive! We will definitely be returning for more Italian Goodness!

The strip looked sort of familiar and when we left, we realized we'd been to the Pho restaurant at the other end. There used to be a Piu Bello in isla Verde/San Juan that we frequented on biz trips there. Turns out this place is not related. It's an independent that has been in this location about a year. But I was curious about the name. I looked it up and Piu means in Italian more or extra. That's a fitting description of the gelato here -- which is beyond all expectations and absolutely delicious. I've always known that there is less fat and calories in gelato than in ice cream. But even if that were not true, I wouldn't care. This gelato is so creamy and rich; it's the definition of sinful. And more than worth every damn calorie! Before deciding what to get, I tried their coffee gelato (very good) and one other. I chose to get a small cup with coconut and chocolate sorbet. I loved them both. The chocolate was like eating dark chocolate ganache. And it went well with the coconut -- which had small bits of actual coconut in it. My husband got their passion fruit gelato -- a medium cup sized portion. And our friends shared the dulce de leche with extra caramel in it. This really was some of the best gelato I've eaten in a very, very long time (and I'm old!). Do I wish I lived closer? Yes. Am I sort of glad I don't? Yes. Cause I'd be here every day....trying all their flavors.

The staff was friendly and were all smiling even when talking amongst themselves behind the counter. After ordering at the counter, our food was served quickly. I had the lentil soup which was filling with rich flavors from the sausages and herbs in it. It was not thick and heavy and so I still had room for the creamy, cheesy empanadas. The empanada crusts were beautiful and flaky. My friend had the steak sandwich and fries. The steak was flavorful and tender and it had an egg on top. The bread was crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back!

The inside looks small, but it's really not, there is also seating outside. The first thing you notice is the abundance of Argentinian empanadas with all sorts of flavors to choose from. Don't let the empanadas distract you- their coffee is just as good, especially the Dulce de leche latte. I've had it hot and cold but I prefer it hot. My favorite empanada is the short rib but the chicken verdeo is just as good. My husband had the chicken curry empanada (like I said lots of flavors to choose from) and he really liked it. This second visit I wasn't sure what to get but the Barista/ cashier gave us pointers on which empanadas to go with. They have other food as well like protein shakes, breakfast, sandwiches, etc. Service is attentive, friendly, and very welcoming.
