Our favorite place to eat Italian food !! Our favorite is the chicken Parmesan but everything we have eaten has been delicious!!!!!

Ordered a pan of lasagna for a family dinner. Paid full price. Got home and thought the lasagna looked flat, maybe got the wrong item. Peeked under a thick layer of cheese and sauce and saw a lasagna noodle. However, it was a bunch of scraps of lasagna, folded and laying under a large amount of cheese and sauce. After paying full price, they did not even attempt to make their customer a lasagna. Looked like scraps from the prior day. They opened at 11am and I made the order a little after 11am, so where did all of the scraps come from. The scraps did not even cover the pan. If you got an end piece, it would be just the sauce and top layer of cheese. Horrible. They took a huge shortcut at the expense of the customer. Did not trust to eat it or take it back. Threw it away and made an alternate meal. Wish I could give a zero for how that experience impacted me. I sent them a picture of what I received and there was no response. read more

Food is good, but we waited approximately 20 for drinks and another 40 minutes for food. Wait staff was friendly but not quick to refill drinks. read more

I was craving a meatball sub. Usually I make my own, but I didn't have the ingredients and it was too close to dinner time. I by passed a sandwich shop next door to Capriano's because they didn't have what I wanted. I walked in and order a meatball sub. I went to Food lion and came back to pick it up. The sub cost me $8.75 but it was too late to back down. I think it was the most expensive sub I have ever ordered. That being said, It tasted incredible. The sauce was savory with obvious veggies and long cooking time and the meatballs were tender and delicious. I wondered a bit how much actual meat was used in them-- but they still tasted great. The bread was also top notch. I give a four star review because of the cost and amount of food. It was not a very large sub and it only came with potato chips which I do not eat. read more

Went there today and was really excited because I love NY style pizza but as soon as we step inside the staff person immediately gas a problem with us for bot reason. I would understand the frustration if they would have been busy but the place was literally empty. She had a very demanding and rude attitude. I have years of experience in food and would never treat a customer like that. Not a good first look and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Got takeout lasagna. Came with a nice salad and garlic toast. The lasagna was large enough for two meals. It was very tasty. Would order it again. read more

I like this Italian restaurant here in Salisbury, NC as it is right around the corner from where we live. We go here often and the food is always good and the service is always prompt and courteous. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner if your visiting Salisbury or if your a local and haven't given it a try. Pizza, pasta, and sandwiches are all pretty good. read more

I must say I had the displeasure. Sparse service? I seen more movement from the roach running across the table onto the wall, and the constant nagging gnats at the table. The seat had crumbs which we had to wipe off. The table had marinara sauce spilled on it just as the menu did. If you go, be hungry and don't look to close! read more

Was looking forward to some good thin crust pizza but what I got was tasteless crust with flavorless cheese and sauce. This was the plainest pizza I've ever eaten. May go back to try something different but it won't likely be the pizza. Service was acceptable. read more

There are several of these 'italian' restaurants in the area, all average. Not bad at all. Just, you know, average.

Terrific little Italian place with huge menu, right off I-85. We started diving from Charlotte to meet my sister and her husband (from High Point) here about once a month for dinner because it's a good halfway point, but we've been coming back because it's now one of our favorite places. Always friendly service. Huge portions. Stromboli, parmigiana dishes, wings, pizza and various pasta specialties have all been very good. Three of the four at our table can't stop ordering the Capriano's stromboli, they love it so much! read more

We have dined at Capriano's twice and had a great meal both times. Good food and atmosphere. We will definitely be going back for a third time and more in the future. Pizza and pasta dishes are very good, and their own cheese steak sandwich is very good, the bread is tasty with a good crunch. Make sure you have a salad as they are very fresh. We also had their wings as an appetizer and they also were very good, crunchy and delicious. We had the hot sauce and it wasn't burn your face off hot, but just the right amount of heat. read more

Capriano's has been a favorite of mine for many years. I drive from Lexington to eat there quite often. I have always felt their food was very good for the prices they charge. I am almost never disappointed in their food, or service, until today. My party of four was led to a table, and as we were entering our booth, the server asked what we would like to drink, before we were even handed our menus. We were still standing trying to get into our booth! I ordered a hot ham and cheese sub, and my brother ordered a Philly steak and cheese, no mushrooms. My sister, and sister in law ordered pizza. I was visiting Capriano's about two weeks ago, and ordered the same ham and cheese sub that I had ordered today. At that time, I asked if the sub had a lot of ham on it, or was it just a couple of slices of thin ham. She assured me it was thick with ham. It was....and it was very good. It was paper thin ham, but several slices of it. Today was a totally different story. TWO paper thin slices of ham with cheese and a bun full of lettuce and tomato. Granted, the menu does state it is a thin ham and cheese sub. That's fine. But, at least put enough of the thin ham on the sandwhich to bite into. I basically paid for a vegetable sandwhich. It was nowhere close to the amount of ham that was previously on my sandwhich. My brother's steak and cheese was almost hidden inside his bun. Barely any meat at all on his sandwhich. I would bet the owner would not prepare his own ham and cheese, nor steak and cheese, for himself, with the same inadequate amounts of meat that were placed on our sandwhiches. The amount of $6.95 is terribly overpriced for a "veggie sandwhich." Talk about margin of profit! I read another post on this site about the service. I have always had decent servers at Capriano's, but one thing bothers me. I eat there at different times of the day or evening, but I never have seen the same server twice on my visits, and almost always see new faces each and every visit. I don't know if it is a turnover issue, or what. They are always friendly, and polite, but just not very polished in their jobs. A little training could go a long ways there. I would love to give Capriano's more stars, because I love this restaurant, and have patronized it for over ten years. I have sent them tons of business over the years. I am so disappointed in my meal today, and my brother's, as well. I don't mind paying the prices, but please, at least give me something for my money. In closing, I will say this. On a positive note....my sister's, and sister in law's pizza was delicious. They confirmed that to me. Please get your act together before I become a "former customer." read more

My parents just moved to Salisbury & we've dined twice now at Capriano's. The first visit was for a late lunch, the second was dinner. Each time we had a large family party to seat and children in tow. Each time our waitresses were very kind, courteous and accommodating! I have had their calzone and their chicken Parmesan, my husband loves the Stromboli, my sons enjoy the pizza and yummy desserts, tiramisu and the tuxedo cake are their faves. We are not from Salisbury but enjoy our family visits to Capriano's and will definitely return! Thanks for the good times and yummy food. read more

Nice Ammonia smelling shrimp . Server dropped the pepper shaker on the floor and left it the entire time. Tables had 3 legs server moved us to another table with 3 legs This is nasty I feel sick ..Oh my were is the Health Department when you need them? I counted more than 20 pieces of gum under the table...Nothing Italian about it or any other cuisine. read more

Stop in, as I was waiting for a family member to get off work near by. I don't know how long this place has been open, but the interior looked old. I got a Veggie lasagna, that came with salad and garlic bread. The salad was, okay, just chopped up lettuce with a cucumber slice and tomato, with carrots sprinkled on to. The lasagna was good, but veggie lasagna can be either amazing, giid, or bad. What stood out to me was my waitress, who's name I didn't catch. She was friendly, and attentive. She asked often if I needed anything, but no so much as to be annoying. Her attentiveness is why I gave them four stars. read more

Much improved from the previous "Italy Cafe" venue, but still unimpressive. We went here for convenience this evening, I had the Gyro Platter it was ok, hubby had the Veal Parmigiana sub, no complaints. I really like the Venice Canal mural on the walls and the service was really prompt and attentive, but the experience overall was lackluster. I am not a fan of their marinara, or the ground meats they use in their Italian dishes, but that is just IMHO. Take it or leave it! read more

One of my fav places to go in salisbury! I always get the gyro platter. It's so so delicious! The pizza is amazing as well

I am a foodie, shall we say a food snob. This being said, I have never been disappointed at Capriano's.

This was my second visit and I was not disappointed. Tried their wings ~ yummy! Crispy and plump and the hot sauce had just the perfect amount of kick. The best Italian food compared to like restaurants. Great sauce, the pasta is aldente', but my favorite is the stromboli. I like to get the veggie with added artichokes and eggplant. It never misses. The portion size always has me bringing home lunch for the next day. read more

We enjoy Capriano's esp. for lunch. Although touted as Italian, there are many Greek dishes and influences. If you're looking for fancy dishes, then you have come to the wrong place but their daily specials offer a good meal at a reasonable price. My brother-in-law covets their calzone, I love their Capriano's Special Salad (includes grilled chicken & gyro) and chicken florentine and the pizza is very good. The atmosphere, well there isn't any - I wish they would get rid of the TV and pipe in music. And service is hit or miss but always friendly. Plenty of good food for a good price. read more

AWFUL service. I was visiting from out of State with my daughters family and we had been there before....The food had always been good and the service friendly and accomadating, but not THIS time. We got INCREDIBLY poor service AND a bad attitude from the server. I don't think I have EVER witnessed anyone as rude and disrespectable in my 50 years of life. The server brought our food after an hour of waiting while we watched the server,the cook and many other guests eat. When questioned about our issue, the server lied to us about the reason for the wait. We knew that because the sandwich we were waiting on was COLD when it arrived. We stopped for a mid-afternoon lunch on the way to an event in Charlotte. We tried the calzones, pasta, and a white pizza. All the food was tasty, and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was mostly empty during the off-peak time we were there, but I could imagine space could get tight when they are busy. It was a little uncomfortably close when the table near our booth was full of loud patrons, but, luckily, they left soon after we ordered. We would be happy to return to this location again on another trip! read more
