Ok folks. Stop scrolling and looking for a place to eat. THIS is the place. I was blown away by how amazing this place was. Beautiful restaurant with a nice classy look inside. White tablecloths but not so fancy that you need to dress up to come in. The food - I had a stuffed salmon and it was, HANDS DOWN, the best salmon I've ever had in my whole life. Everything was perfect on this plate. The menu is amazing. Ive got to come back and try other items. And I will. Guaranteed. Give this place a chance. You won't be let down. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I NEEDED this amazing meal today. Thank you for this!!

French Onion soup - or supposed to be.

Wow has this been a night to remember. Where do I start - I've been a long time customer of Chef Santos and have brought many coworkers there as I've been in town over the last 10 years. Tonight was the worst meal I've ever had at this once good establishment. Start with the French Onion soup or that's what they called it. Very little flavor, had mushrooms in it?? Never had that before and it's not mentioned that way on the menu. Definitely would not have ordered had I known it. Classic French onion soup had yummy melty cheese on it. This pic says 10000 words - sad. Martini was the worst I've ever had and to boot it was almost as much $ as my main course though the menu states 8.95 the same price as a glass of wine. And let's talk prices - don't go by what's on the menu the charges are ALL more than what's on the menu. How can you charge more than what you state on the menu? Chicken piccata was good, not great. Very caper flavored with no lemon taste at all. Veggies are barely cooked so hard. With all of f this said I'm sad to say I will never visit this restaurant again and will share this with all of my local coworkers so they are on guard to the miss information menu. See ya Santos. Soup on menu - $6.95 Spirits on menu - $8.95 Pollo Piccata on menu - $18.95

Location was beautiful! However, once we were seated they gave us water and came back 10 minutes…read morelater and gave us only drink menus.... 15 minutes into the service, we finally received actual menus. Only two other tables at the time, so not busy at all. Service was not great. Very weird vibes in there with the staff and they seemed to not want to be there. Food was way too overpriced for how average it tasted. The sauces were very watery and food was insanely salty. Our whole table came home and stayed in the bathroom all night. We definitely thought the all the food was frozen and sauce was just poured on top. Has lots of potential, but this was not a good experience.

Many people had told me about La Cava but most had not been there or "had always wanted to try it…read morebut never made it there". We fell into that later category, but finally got to make our first trip to La Cava to celebrate a birthday with 7 friends! To start, the most obviously unique aspect is that the restaurant is inside an old church! It is neat and the setting was great with the stained glass windows and large vaulted ceilings you would expect. Unfortunately for me the service didn't quite live up to the ambiance. We did receive our first round of drinks pretty quickly, however our glasses were empty for long enough after, that one from the group finally just got up and ordered a drink from the bar. When we did finally get our drink order taken, a couple waiters and waitresses took them together which just further complicated things. Similarly while we did not have drinks we were waiting to order our food for long enough we started wondering if they forgot about our table. For an Italian place with a decent emphasis on wine (they have many many bottles of wine all around the dining room) I would have liked to see a bit more of an Italian centric by the glass menu. They have a Chianti and a Montepulciano for reds, but could be a cool way to introduce people to some new wines instead of the same old California wines. As for the food, again, it was not bad, but with some tweaks could be something really special. I had the Veal Saltimbocca. The taste was fine, but the presentation left a lot to be desired. The veal was roughly the same thickness as the prosciutto topping it, and the sides of home fries and bland spinach were not great. I did love the sauce it was served with though. I heard similar complaints about the chicken gismonda from our group. However the beef stew and the Swordfish got pretty good reviews! Overall, I don't want to say it was bad, I could just see it easily being so much better. I would like to return and likely will to try some different things but will set expectations a bit better.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE....... We came for a pizza…read morelunch. "Norma" the waitress told me i could have a few slices off the "READY MADE" pizza in the display counter. I said no i wanted fresh pizza. She tried to tell me it was just made. But , as i have over 50 years eating pizza , what is saw was DRIED out basking under the heat lights. When she took my order i asked for a small pie , and a box for the left overs. I also said and i emphasize..... LITTLE CHEESE. she said ok. What she brought to the table was a pie with EXTRA CHEESE. When i told her this was a lot of cheese, She just brushed it off as, oh well it was the fault of one of the boys in the back. Not ,can i take it back and put it next to the one in the display and make you want you ORDERED IN THE FIRST PLACE. Sorry about that and just walked away.... I brushed off most of the cheese , as i was hungry, i was making the best out of a snack. Instead of giving a box, like most of the pizza's restaurants do , she took the left over into the back and returned with 4 slices STUFFED into a styrofoam take out container. Oh and by the way , the buffet had very few items on it, which they dole out to you themselves. And when i asked for a menu it had only 6 items on it. Notice that the check doesn't say "Italian Grill" it says " Peppers" but the address confirms the place. Do you self a favor FIND A QUALITY ITALIAN RESTAURANT, cause this is not one

The Good Place was…read moreclean and staff was friendly. Seating was plentiful on a Monday at 2pm. Server was friendly and efficient. Ambiance was comfortable and you could easily hold a conversation. We were there as a group for a birthday. Drinks were brought quickly and so were the entrees. Menu was easy to read. Highlight of the meal for me was the chicken and gnocchi soup. Broth was creamy but light and had a good flavor. Plenty of chicken and gnocchi. Should have filled up on that. The Meh My wife and I ordered the same thing, lunch chicken parm. It was your standard panko-covered breasts with red sauce and mozzarella cheese. It came with a side of spaghetti and red sauce. It was ok for what it was. Sauce overloaded with garlic but not much other flavor. It was ok for what it was but memorable for all the wrong reasons. 5/10 would not order again. The breadsticks were grease-laden planks of garlic salt. Disgusting actually. Maybe a bad or heavy-handed batch? Yuck 2/10. Olive Garden thinks a lot of their food. Expensive for what you get. Pasta is cheap. A plate of spaghetti closing in on $20? No thanks. Be prepared to spent as much as if you went to a real Italian restaurant. For years I listened to people complain about Olive garden. I never understood why. I do now. If you want Italian, go get Italian. This is not it.
