Food was good, maybe other than the crab? Inconsistent timing between patron orders. We got our app (calamari) after about 45 minutes, but got the entrees about 5 minutes after these? The server misheard and gave us an extra app we didn't order (chicken wings), but the wings were really good, moist with a great sweet chili sauce. Would be fine if they didn't then charge us for it. Crab was not the greatest, which is surprising since we could see the water from where we were sitting. Must be the way it was prepped. The dry rub sauce was ok, but clumped in several continents on the potatoes and crab, which led to a powdery surprise in your mouth every so often. The server forgot the shelling tools, even after a reminder. Ribs were probably the highlight, very tender and tasty. Generous servings of fries. Steak was very well done (not temperature, but quality and cook), and the mashed potatoes were generous and flavorful. With the typical "i know good help is hard to find, esp. in covid times" caveat, the service was a dud. The hostess might have been auditioning for real hostesses of federal hill: lots of attitude, eye rolling, and blank stares. The server was somewhat inexperienced, with quite a few misses, as well as offering a free shower from a glass of water to the super-loud ladies sitting behind us. When I stepped inside, it seemed like the spring phone olympics, with almost all the staff in severe throes of texting or scrolling. That's all fine, if the wait and service wasn't so inconsistent. They did seem to get oysters out quickly, so that might be a good choice if you are hungry, so there's that. Decor was fine, with typical rope-based designs you can find at all seafood locations. We were "seated" outside, alternating between cool March air or a dry Florida heat from overhead ventilation. The inside was somewhat packed, with 2 or 3 tables and a bar section. One bathroom, so plan your trip purposefully. Parking wasn't bad, there was some monitored parking for 20 bucks within walking distance, or street parking in front of the hotel. 10/10 would probably not return. The search continues! read more

2nd time going and everything was great. Quick service and food came out quick; it was a sunday night and not too busy. We had calamari as app and shares a combo plate. The seafood was great, loved the cajun seasoning; only complaint is it was a bit too oily. The bottom of the plate was full oil. The food at Capri was simply amazing. Our waiter, V, was very kind and helpful when it came to exploring the menu. It was a beautiful day in PVD so we sat outside in the patio area. My gf and I had the crab legs + shrimp combo with "Da Mix" seasoning, which is a combination of three different seasonings including lemon pepper, butter and garlic, plus another one. The seasoning and crab legs were delicious. We also tried the Panko Shrimp as an appetizer. They were very good and the sweet and spicy sauce that came alongside of it was delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I was super elated to find this place. I'm uncertain why finding a seafood place in PVD is such a big deal, but this one is worth it. I entered to the main door of the restaurant workers weren't busy but wasn't paying much attention. I was asked to wait and they assumed I was here for food delivery when I said table for one. I repeated a few times until they realized the waiter that wasn't supposed to be out in the front didn't catch me go in. I was eventually greeted and then seated but was a bit odd experience. Especially when there were not that busy on a Wednesday night post dinner time. Once I got seated and then ordered, it took them almost 45 minutes to get me anything. No oysters that I ordered and not even checking in. If a customer comes in late and orders $90 worth of food, they were likely hungry. I was sitting in the outer seating area with another small group on the other side. After about 45 min I got my oysters and then about 10 minutes after, I received my entree. The seafood itself seemed in good quality so no complaints there but they put quite a bit of seasoning paste which I wasn't expecting. But no big deal. Waitress was nice when she was around. Sat on the outdoor patio the other night at Capri for dinner. Ordered the Trio Combo (1/2 each) which included lobster tail, snow crab leg, and peeled shrimp. Every combo includes corn, potatoes, and sausage. By recommendation from our host, my partner and I chose the Capri Cajun seasoning with medium spice. It was DELICIOUS. The flavors mixed well into the seafood as well as the sides! I usually do not eat the potatoes at seafood boil restaurants because they are usually just steamed but at Capri they immersed them into the Cajun sauce. I loved it. I got the lobster Mac and cheese and the seafood boil. The Mac and cheese is decent I would give it a 7.5/10 only because it can be a put water on the bottom because of the lobster juice and that can be off putting and the boil is pretty good I would give it a sold 8/10 although they run on the more expensive side. I would give them a higher rating if they didn't just take their BEST pasta out of the menu fortunately, I would go back again and again simply for that blackened shrimp pasta but they have since removed it from their menu. The service varies from eh to average on a typical night out and the atmosphere is nice although the outdoor seating is way better and more spacious than the indoor seating. The indoor seating is small and a bit cramped and the only thing annoying about the outdoor seating is the uneven bricks make your seat wobbly sometimes but they do have space heaters so it's usually always warm. read more

Here's the thing with seafood spots.. they're only AMAZING in the summer time. Seafoods fresh and tasty. Capri is my go to when I'm in the mood for crab legs! Their House sauce "Da mix" is top tier! What separates this Seafood boil from like .. every other place is that they dice your potatoes! It's easier to eat and they don't hold back. Staff is super cool, ask for V! I'm only giving it a 3 star because as the summer dies down, the seafood starts to taste as if it was previously frozen. Just my observation. Capri Seafood is a small but powerful seafood restaurant with a great atmosphere and genuine servers. I had the combo platter with crab legs, lobster tails, sausage, potatoes, and corn. Stumbled upon this place while looking for seafood in the federal hill area. They have good number of outdoor seats with a view of the fountain. Limited bar seats though. Good selection of cocktails, although there's a full bar as well. Got the cranberry margarita which was very good; also very strong. Also got a custom bourbon drink which was very good as well. Got the stuffed mushrooms for appetizers which was pretty good. The combination of prosciutto along with the cheese and everything else inside it was perfect. For main course, got the combo seafood meal with the crab legs and shrimp. Also got a pound of lobster tail. Firstly, that's a good amount of food for 2 people. Secondly, I love it that the place provides gloves and bibs if you want it. The lobster tail was good although a little dry. The crab legs were amazing and the meat was very moist and tender. The shrimp was Aok, although the mix sauce was really good. The combo also comes with corn cobs, potatoes and sausages all of which were good. Overall, good place to try seafood without having to drive to the coast if you're nearby. Street parking only which is the same for the all the places on the hill. Bill was around 110$ for the meal and 3 drinks. Service was pretty good even though they were understaffed. read more

This place was okay compared to the places we have in VA. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. We ordered Capri's bang, calamari, wings, and some dish with lobster and rice. Calamari: this is not what calamari should be. It was soggy and covered in a sweet and tangy sauce which is fine but it was literally drenched. Wings: they were so dry and salty we had to fight over who had to finish them. Capri's bang: this was good but the sauce got kind of overwhelming and too sweet at some point. I think they are really into sweet sauces here. Some of the seafood also did not taste fresh. Lobster and rice: the lobster was good but the fried rice it came with was so soggy and mushy. Oh, can't forget the corn on the cob, potatoes, and chourico it comes with! The sauce we got was cajun or capri sauce/medium and that's my favorite one. We also ordered their soft shell crab for an appetizer and that was really good...crispy and sweet. We were treated with such great customer service and went back to celebrate a friend's birthday dinner there. This time, we got the Capri Bang in "Da Mix"/suicide sauce which is their most popular one. We also ordered a few appetizers: soft shell crab, fried shrimp, calamari and added a 10 oz Sirloin to the mix with a garlic sauce. However, for me, I didn't like "Da Mix" sauce. It was a bit tangy for me like southern style (which is prob how it should be) but I most definitely enjoyed the Capri sauce? cajun sauce? well, it begins with a C. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and was patient with our crowd ;p I can see us becoming regulars :) Don't be alarm that this wasn't the "Capri" you expected. I wanted to like this place based on the reviews I received from the hotel concierge, but it was a let down. I ordered a few items because fresh seafood is a must in Rhode Island. I ordered some an oyster starter that was like a stuffed oysters It was served with melted cheese and breadcrumbs. Unfortunately, it took on a mushiness texture.
