My friends and I get Capri every single time we get together. This place is solid for thin crust pizza. The sauce is slightly sweet and toppings are spread out evenly. Our regular order is the sausage and giardiniera. We also get pepperoni and that's placed below the cheese so don't freak out if you don't see it on top when you open your box! They also do gluten free here, but it's a 12" thin crust only. Clutch for my GF friends. My son and I were looking for a nice lunch on the way to get his learners permit yesterday, and just happened to stop at Capri. We actually intended to stop at the place next door called Poor Boys II, but my son walked into Capri by mistake. Anyway, I took a quick glance at the menu never having been here before and I saw the chicken parmesan sandwich so I ordered that with cheese fries. My son got a burger and cheese fries. We sat out front while we waited for our food, the nice lady that rang us up brought the food out, and we had a nice lunch outside (this was right before the storm came thru). The chicken parm sandwich was very good, they used a good sauce, plenty of cheese, and the chicken was good. Fries were very hot.. crispy, and the cheese was good as well. I am very disappointed today. I ordered a gluten-free pizza and fries Online. My special needs daughter asked for pizza so I thought of Capri. She hasn't asked in a long time so I haven't ordered from there in about 2 years. Apparently things have changed. The fries were not ready when I arrived at pick up, staff handed me the pizza with no fries so I had to wait 5 minutes. No apology or attempt to make it better. The pizza was cold. It's obvious they are using store bought crust these days! The pizza was absolutely disgusting! The crust was so rubbery I could hardly chew it and my daughter CHOKED on it. She was choking and barely breathing. I have a lump in my belly from the crust. If they want to use store bought they should note on the menu. I will never order again. I spent about $34 on a very small gross pizza and fries , including a tip! A tip for what? Bad service and disgusting food? I would like a refund and explanation please. read more

Ordered though Grub Hub. Two manicotti dinners. Dinner comes with garlic bread and side salad. Specified French dressing in special instructions for one order. Did not say what type of dressing for other bc I was going to use dressing we have at home. Only received one salad (with the French dressing). Manicotti were chewy and burnt in some areas and the whole dish was watery. No garlic bread, just breadsticks that were hardly seasoned at all. Pretty standard cheap pizza, but it has a thicker crust than a lot of places in the Chicago area. They have slices which is nice. The parking lot is extremely tricky and if you park too close to the foot spa place the people who own it get mad. There are like two small tables inside, so it's definitely more of a to go joint! If you are looking to compare/contrast beefs and fries with Poor Boy II (10 feet next door), save yourself the effort - Poor Boy's are much better. We thought we'd try this place as they do have a vast menu. I had my suspicions on certain food items just by looking at the photos on the menu, but still decided to "give it a chance". - The beefs were just OKAY. Poor Boy's are much better and $1 cheaper. They did give you a large amount, but it was just average. The bread used was the standard Turano rolls that are sold in the bags at Jewel, and was not the "fresh daily" more crispy type that Italian beefs taste best on. - Fries we did not like. They were orange-ish and were the "curly fry" and/or "cajun fry" style. - Polish was "okay". We asked for it on french bread and they obliged. However, the french bread turned out to be - as described above - the store bought Turano rolls. We probably won't return. Obviously there is much more on the menu that we can't fairly give a review to, but judging by just the few items we ordered and they were just "meh" at best, we would be hesitant to try anything else. If you want a good beef and fries and find yourself unsure of which place to go to at this corner location, go to Poor Boy right next door. OR, just get a beef and fries from BOTH locations and try half of each at the same time :) read more

We ordered catering from Capri for a small corporate event (around 30 people). We chose Capri due to their extensive catering menu options and affordable pricing. Their catering menu is flexible so you can order from one of their packages (multiple options per person), and/or purchase individual trays. Since many of our co-workers do not eat meat, it was nice that they offered a handful of vegetarian options. The food itself is excellent and we will definitely place a catering order here in the future. I highly recommend the Italian beef and tiramisu. Those were the two dishes that everyone enjoyed the most. If you're looking for cost-effective and delicious (Italian) catering for a family or company event, I highly recommend Capri. read more

Capri Pizza & Pasta is a small pizzeria/ fast food eatery located off of Roosevelt Road in Wheaton. I've been to Capri a few times over the years and have tried a variety of items which I'll touch on in this review. First off is the Pizza, I've had slices served here and they're so so. They are a thick crust pan style slice, I wasn't a big fan of the sauce used on this pizza or the seasoning. The crust was thick and not particularly flavorful though the texture was harder than I like but not unbearable, at some point I might try an actual pizza but overall Capri made my "do not return" list for picking up individual slices. Next off is the hot dog here. Today I finally stopped in and tried Capri's hot dog and it wasn't too bad. The hot dog was served on a poppy seed bun, with mustard, relish, cucumber, pickle slice, sport pepper and tomato. The bun was soft, the pickle was a little thick but not so thick that it overpowered other flavors. The cucumber was a welcome addition to this dog with a good complimentary flavor. The tomato was thinly sliced and not too soggy. There was no sign of celery salt on this hot dog. The pepper was not too hot and was a good compliment. The only real problem with this hot dog was the sausage used. This was a skinless dog that had more of a smoky flavor to it, while it was a thicker than normal jumbo style dog, it didn't taste as good as most stock Vienna Beef or Red Hot Chicago dogs in the area. I'm not certain of the brand used here, but it didn't seem to be a traditional Chicago style hot dog. Overall, I'd recommend Capri for trying different menu items and I'm curious about trying their pasta in the future. For the money it's not a bad place to get a hot dog either.
