Came back because we were craving the butternut squash risotto, and we had to send it back :(. Even the pictures can show the difference, they changed the recipe and it tasted like eating roses. No thank you! Please go back to the OG. On the plus side, we switched it with the chicken parm....and was happy. The basil pesto sauce has a strong basil punch and I liked it, my partner did not. But the chicken itself was nice a thinned with a great crisp crust. Watch out for the little kick in the Paccheria vodka, it's nice but doesn't linger too long.

Al fresco season in downtown Wheaton is back and best believe Gia Mia is part of it! A group of 5 of us dined in for dinner and for a weekday outing this place was BUSY. The first person to arrive opted to sit indoors which is fine! We were seated at a table across from the bar. The area itself felt tight but thankfully the table seating itself was spacious enough for us. Service throughout was decent. Everything was timed out well and we didn't have any long waits in between. I got the paccheri vodka pasta and it was good! I've had this dish at the downers grove location so I was expecting the sauce to be more saucey. From here it was on the thinner side and the amount of sauce given was good enough. The noodles were cooked exactly how I like em though, al dente.

Great service and really good food! Not a huge space so I would go for a cute date night or a small group. Intimate setting with nice decor. Their wood fired pizzas are so yummy!

First time at Gia Mia! Greeted immediately but the restaurant was super busy so there was a 10 minute wait. For our appetizers we got the Zucchini Fries which were fire, Ricotta + Honeycomb was delicious too, the Spinach + Artichoke Fonduta had a bit too much spinach but still pretty good. For our main entrees we got the Pear + Caramelized Onion and the Paccheri Vodka Pasta - both main entrees were solid! Definitely recommend this place to all in downtown Wheaton.

Absolutely love this place the food there was so good. I had the chicken Parmesan with pasta loved it. Decided to try the bourbon drink oh my God I had two of them now I wanna make it at home. It was so good. Definitely the service was great. The ambience was really casual. Laid-back absolutely liked. I can't wait to go back. the food is amazing seriously!!

This is a lovely Italian restaurant with great menu options. I came here with a friend and it was definitely an excellent choice. We really enjoyed the food and the relaxing atmosphere. We ordered the prosciutto and burrata and the zucchini fries for our appetizers. Both were amazing. The burrata was perfect and came with delicious prosciutto slices and pizza bread. For dinner, I ordered the paccheri vodka pasta. I loved the giant rigatoni and small crumbled pieces of Italian sausage. I would order this again for sure...I'll be back in the future!!

Service was great! Everything we got here was so delicious and cake out so fast. I've literally been thinking about this pizza since I ate it, the cold burratta cheese on the warm pizza is so delicious. Literally cannot wait to come back here

Lovely place to have a meal with wonderful menu options. Our whole table enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Calamari $14 - Very good, lightly breaded and fried. Brussels Sprouts $8 - Flavorful dish. Stinger pizza $15 - Love the thin chewy crust, delicious combination of toppings! Paccheri Vodka pasta $18 - Great merriment of sauce and sausage in this pasta. Medallions of Beef $29 - Steak is tender and the sides are perfectly seasoned. Dolcinos $13 - Dessert sampler is a great way to try a little bit of 4 different types of desserts. I liked the strong coffee taste in the tiramisu and the vanilla bean gelato was a hit. We came for a birthday celebration and they gave the birthday girl a complimentary pistachio ice cream, what a nice touch! I'll have to remember to check out their half price pizza on Mondays. Reservations can be made on Resy. Street parking is easy to find. They have 6 locations around Chicagoland. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

Came here to meet a friend. I made a reservation, and good thing I did because it was busy for a week night. Service was fast. It was a little loud, but just because it was busy and lots of people were talking. I got the pear and limoncello fiesta. Light pear and lemon flavor. It's not too sweet. Pizza was yummy as well, great crust!

    Scottish Salmon

visited Gia Mia in Wheaton to catch up with a few friends. We had reservations and were quickly seated. the service was quickly, however our server did not seem to put all too much effort into being friendly and only spoke to us when we placed our order. I ordered the Scottish Salmon. The salmon was salmon--it was decent but nothing special. It was simply salmon over farro with lemon. I would not go out of my way to go to Gia Mia and get it again. My friends ordered vodka pasta and pizza. The vodka pasta lacked vodka sauce and were coated very thinly. It almost seemed like the sauce evaporated off of the plate. The pizza also wasn't very flavorful. My friends liked their food, but did not think it was anything special either. Overall, the food wasn't bad by any means, but nothing special and I do not think I would go out of my way to get it again.

had a reservation before coming in and thank goodness because it was busy inside. thought it would be a little bigger but it wasn't which was fine. but tables did seem kind of tight when eating. got a small place of eggplant parmigiana and a caesar salad. i really enjoyed both but especially the eggplant small plate. the sauce was very good as well and everything went really well together. also tried the vodka pasta and a 10/10, just got no meat. ordered the mock tail and it was super sour so i just added some water. server was very friendly and informative.

When you walk in you're greeted with a stair case upstairs but they do have an elevator. This restaurant is family owned and you can tell the love and care they put into their menu based on the knowledge each person has on their "of the day" dishes. When we were say we were offered pelleigrino, panna or tap. Fair warning the panna bottle is $10 so just be mindful as you order if that's a concern. Bread is offered, Parmesan and oil are on the table for you to mix your dipping. We decided to start with the calamari, it was breaded and serve with an aioli. The serving size was huge and prefect to share with 3-4 people. My husband and I decided to share their lasagna of the day which was a short rib lasanga and their Caccio de Pepe which was prepared and served table side. They split the plates for us. The lasagna was good but I think it needed a knife because the short rib kept it from being just a fork bite, the caccio de Pepe was delicious. You can taste the quality of cheese that they use. All in all we had a great experience, I can't wait to come back and try other dishes soon.

These are both part of my go-to order here. Recently expanded my order and tried the short rib over polenta for the first time, it was amazing. Tender. Flavorful. Good sized portion. Wonderful. Will absolutely get again. For dessert, and there's always room for dessert here in my opinion, I love to get the rich panna cotta. This past time though we got the butterscotch budino, which was smooth and rich without being overly sweet. It was perfect to share (or not)! Just enough hint of butterscotch and topped with a crumbled shortbread cookie to an add a little crunch to the otherwise creamy treat. The staff is always helpful in making recommendations to suit your tastes too! There is a call ahead wait list and they've also started taking reservations. Enjoy your night out in Glen Ellyn at Fire and Wine, cheers!
