The shop is in a salon on the second floor, it's also next to a tapas restaurant on the outside. I really like the small intimate space. I prefer this over the hustle and bustle of regular shops with lots of tvs and people coming in and out. They still have some background noise so it's not totally silent. I had a regular manicure, pedicure, and hard gel removal with Michelle. Michelle is probably one of the best nail techs I've ever had. She immediately made me feel so comfortable like I've known her for a long time. She even suggested polish colors which was so helpful because I'm always too shy to ask for recommendations. She was super detailed on my gel removal, cuticle removal, and polish. She even removed some of my toe hairs which was beyond my expectations! The other two techs were also super friendly - chatted about tv shows and one of them had a cute doggy. I will def be coming back!

I've been in LA for nearly 2 years and hadn't had any luck finding a nail bar that does great work. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by name and ushered to my seat. They chose the hard gel. I wanted a milky white with chrome (matching) and stayed positive, for the price it had to be great, right? They delivered high quality work, with care. I highly recommend and will return. Being a girl is so expensive but when you find a nail bar like this, you hold onto them!

I think Shery is great and better than her colleague for sure but it takes way too long, when my daughter went it took close to 90min for a gel mani which is twice a long as other places. It's great if one has a lot of time to spend I guess. I like quicker service so I won't return.

In the late afternoon, around 5:30pm it started to hurt and had a 'burning' sensation. I called Diane and sent her a photo. She was amenable to reimbursing me for my mani-pedi, which I appreciate. Anna, the Manicurist, seemed to be preoccupied and flustered this morning. The tray she worked at flipped over and all her tools fell on the floor. She was also talking to someone in Russian on her ear pods while doing my manicure. This is what happened to at Tintin Nails when the owner was too busy making appointments while doing my mancure and cut in to my right finger cuticle, causing pain and swelling. Does anyone know of a nail salon whose technicians are not multi-tasking while providing a service? Kayley was amazing, always checking with me if she was hurting me or if I was OK. Good experience, accommodating staff, and cute salon!…read more Overall, I had a good experience at Ultimate Nail Bar! I came in for a Gel-X set and a pedicure, and although I was pretty indecisive about what I wanted, the staff were patient, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I usually stick to my signature Bubble Bath shade and neutral colors, but I wanted to try something a little more fun for fall. Since I haven't worn color on my nails in a long time, I was all over the place trying to figure out what I wanted. We tried on a few shades, and when none of them felt right, they brought out multiple color books and design options for me to look through. I really appreciated that! They didn't make me feel rushed or like I was being difficult, and they offered their personal recommendations to help me decide. I ultimately went with a neutral shade and a little sparkle overlay. Looking back, I probably would have skipped the sparkle, but that's entirely on me because I was indecisive and should have trusted my instincts! The nail tech did a good job, and my nails still look nice. My only personal preference is that I like a slightly wider nail shape, as I felt mine were filed a little narrower than I usually wear. The service moved pretty quickly, so I didn't speak up about it in the moment, but that's something I'll communicate next time. I also appreciated the first-time customer promotion, which took $10 off each service. The pricing was reasonable compared with other salons in the area, although some add-ons can definitely increase the total. For my pedicure, I opted for regular polish instead of gel after discussing the additional cost of repairing a broken toenail. I was initially confused about why the repair would require gel polish, but the staff explained their reasoning, and they were understanding when I decided to keep things simple. I hadn't gotten regular polish on my toes in years, but sometimes you have to make the practical choice! The salon itself is clean, cute, and thoughtfully designed. I love the minimal aesthetic with just enough feminine touches to make it feel inviting. All in all, I think they do good work, the staff are accommodating, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Would I return? Absolutely. I'll just come in with a clearer idea of what I want and communicate my nail shape preferences upfront next time. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for a cute, clean nail salon in the area!
