My husband and I went here for a casual afternoon lunch. And it turns out this place was suuuuper casual. There was basically one guy at a grill making street tacos, and another guy bartending inside. We ordered the tacos, and they were amazing! We also had a couple cocktails which were good. This place was so chill. I felt like I was hanging out in a nice backyard. I'd definitely go there again. It's a perfect lunch spot for a quiet, relaxing weekend.

Tasted a little bit of a handful of items on the menu. Drinks seemed pretty good (although I only had a sip of friends') and I liked the outdoor atmosphere and seating. Come for drinks and sitting around with your friends but don't count on this as a dinner spot. The food took very long to come out though and the bartender didn't seem very service oriented. Apparently "that's the way it is" in Marfa but it doesn't make it acceptable especially if you expect to be a tourist spot. We had to pay for our food upfront by giving the card first which was weird especially since my friends said to keep the tab open since we weren't sure if we were done ordering yet. Also flies in the indoor bar area which were annoying. When you first show up - literally no one greets you and there are no signs on where to be seated or anything, I guess you just sit at the bar and wait and hope they come up to you. If you sat outside, I'm not sure how that even works. Breads came with great olive oil but the bread was just average. Pricey for what it is . Shrimp Chicharronnes are like shrimp chips basically, they did not taste bad but are overpriced. Grilled Avocado was exactly what it sounds like - goes good with the bread Beef Carpaccio - tasted good Yucca Blossom Tempura - good but I expected more of it for the price paid Duck Confit - good Moscovy duck breast - good taste but a little chewy and seemed too fatty.

I loved loved loved the decor and ambiance of this place!! The drinks were good! I had the spicy chihuahua and my friend got the Mexican old fashioned. We shared the ancho relleno which was delicious! It had a delicious mix and turkey and beans inside topped with a melted slice of cheese and on a bed of mole sauce. It was pretty good! It's a cute upscale restaurant in a small town.

Beautiful bar.

This is a special place with exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. While reservations are a good idea at many upscale restaurants in this area, Capri does not appear to take reservations, and instead greeted us warmly and found a table for our party. I could not resist the elegant but easy design of the dining room and bar (see pic). Our server was friendly and informative without being intrusive. We started with hibiscus margaritas that were served, like the water, in a charming pair of hand-etched glasses. (Presentation was lovely across the board. See more pics.) The white anchovies were delicious, although the olive and spicy pepper served with them weren't my favorite. The marinated watermelon radishes were served to look like a giant bloom, and had a wonderful flavor. Neither of these was a very filling item, of course, so we also had the tempura yucca blossoms, which was my favorite item. They were served in a cone made from the Capri menu with a dipping sauce. I cannot recommend them more highly. We also had the chapulines tacos, which were nice with a very strong smokey flavor. Chocolate ice cream was served with small wooden spoons and Vietnamese cinnamon, and was the perfect finish. Afterward, we wandered around in the garden outside. We sat down at one of the fire pits, and a friendly man (maybe an owner or manager?) came up and offered to take our group's picture (we had a camera out) and added some kindling to the fire. The garden also has hammocks, a water fixture, and an assortment of flora. After the perfect tasting meal and cocktails, we enjoyed sitting and talking in the outdoor space. My friend and I were in town on vacation during the week, so I don't know what the weekend scene would be like at Capri. Dinner here was a standout to a fantastic trip, and I hope I have the chance to return someday.

Very cool spot. I came for the douchey hipster sunglass bro, but alas, he is no longer working the window. Instead the owner's charming wife greets customers with welcoming gratitude. I ate the locally raised steak kabobs and enjoyed the hot meal on a blustery November afternoon. The dining area is agreeable indoors and out, comfortable enough to sit alone with a book and spacious enough for your group. Without the mean guy to set you off, you should be quite satisfied by the food, atmosphere and service.

Nasty tasting food, made me want to gag

Horrible. If there is one reason NOT to make the drive from wherever you live, it's this. Very limited selections and tiny portions for overpriced entrees. I ordered the pasta and it had some horrendous spice on it that made me gag. Tasted like gunpowder or something. Really harsh earthy flavor that burned my lips. I tried to tell the bartender that I didn't like it so I could send it back and order something else, but they were nowhere to be found (during evening dinner rush on a Tuesday night). Of course, the bartender was there when it came time to pay. $42 for a horrible meal and no manager in sight to get a refund.

The extra smoky chicken

I didn't like it too much, me and my friends went there last week - July 14 2017 and it was a disappointment. I ordered the chicken and it was too smoky. My friends ordered the tamales and relleno.

Ordered drinks and never heard from anyone again. Got up and left. Unique place. Tiny menu of unnecessarily pretentious items.

Beautiful restaurant right in the middle of town. Get the oysters and the smoking elote. Cocktails are fantastic.

They need to Update the ADDRESS!! As someone who is…read moretraveling and reserving a room a day ahead the address that shows up is 2469W. IH-10 which then translates in maps to 2469 Dickinson Blvd.... THEYRE BOTH WRONG!!! It'll have you parked at some abandoned buildings on Dickinson Blvd totally opposite of where you should be.... BEST THING TO DO, is type the McDonald Address and turn into their parking lot as it is a shared parking lot with Fairfield and Candlewood. IF you figure out the right address it'll take you back on the 10 and you'll make a very quick right turn (IF you see the entrance) from the freeway entrance to their lot. So Ya, that wasn't fun! Any hoot... employees all were very nice young ladies, when you seen them. I came in & out several time and no one ever came out or was at the desk. I seen them checking in and once walking over to McDonald's. After that I went out 3 more times and crickets! Now the rooms. The rooms are very nice and clean. I got a single queen suit and honestly the kitchenette was a nice touch. It has everything you need from dish soap to potato peeler. Has a dishwasher but no dishwasher pods/soap. Bathroom has Dove Products and instead of a dirty laundry bag they actually have a laundry basket. They have coffee available 24hrs in their mini store oh and a full size fridge. Overall this would be a great stay if I was staying more than overnight. There's a chevron across the street from McDonald's. Other than the address issue, which is a huge problem in my book after driving for HOURSSSS... this place would've recieved a 5 star review. The other star deducted is because the lobby restroom was dirty... had dried Pee drips and pubic hair on the seat and the sink faucet look like someone brushed their teeth and missed the inside sink.

A decent stay and animal friendly facility. Not too far from amenities and places to eat. Nearby…read morefreeway and easy parking for our tall Sprinter. Lots of extra cabinet space above the counter for the cat to get into and break the plates and glasses. The cat was everywhere but very happy. The only ice maker on property was slow . . . very slow . . . very, very slow. The picture shows amount of ice after 5 minutes. By the time I got back to the room, much of it was already melted.
