Great vibe, excellent drinks and food, and fabulous service = dang good time! Rustic wooden bar and full of charm, we ended up staying for two rounds of drinks. We would have stayed longer but there was no TV to watch the Red River Rivalry. The drinks here are amazing. Interesting mixes and concoctions make it hard to choose one so we didn't. Our lineup included: Margarita Strawberry Basil smash Paloma Salty Dog They have a few small bites! Definitely get the loaded chihuahua hot dog and chips & salsa. And get ready to have a good time!

Not to be missed! The service, ambiance and cocktails were fantastic! Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable. We had a group of 10 and each left with a bottle of Sotol. They were out of merch Although, I will either order or get upon my return someday. Definitely will be back! It was the perfect vibe to begin my 50th birthday shenanigans!

Best Paloma of my life! You have to stop here! Ended up buying two bottles of spirits and had a wonderful time talking about sotol which adds a wonderful smokiness to the Paloma! WOW!

Stopped in for a quick afternoon drink. This place is a true gem offering an atmosphere that's as inviting as it is unique. The vibe is perfect for relaxing with friends, blending rustic charm with understated service. The bartenders poured some excellent drinks! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Marfa. Be sure to pickup a bottle to take home.

You have to go! The bar itself is a really nice spot with amazing service. I wish I remembered our bartender's name because she was awesome! The drinks were SO good and so unique. I totally recommend the Salty Dog. It's one of the best drinks I've ever had thanks to the pink peppercorn! They had plenty of merch and spirits to take home, so stock up while you're there. If we lived near Marfa, we'd be regulars.

Chill vibes and welcoming staff! We appreciated the option of non-alcoholic cocktails and classic Mexican cokes.

We stopped in for a drink after a long day of driving/traveling home to Austin and it was exactly what we needed. As soon as you walk in the vibes are great. Super cute and welcoming inside. Mimi made sure we were taken care of with delicious drinks and her playlist was perfect. She was also so sweet to chat with. We felt right at home and have already told our friends they need to stop in if they are ever in town. We will definitely be back as well. Thank you, Mimi!

Needed a hat, had a drink with chips and queso.. skip the ranch water and have the chips and dip cause I'm not enough of a pretentious cowboy for this place...

Excellent distillery tour and tasting with Laura! Don't miss it. Rum was the best in tasting. Also, liked the Desert Rose sotol.

Laura is the best bar tender I've ever been served by. The drinks are phenomenal. Try the mezcal (not too smoky)

It's cool and trendy and has convenient hours, but the bartenders were super rude and condescending, hard to get a check too.

Getting there, though, felt like stepping backward in time--partly paved roads, weathered buildings, and aging homes that quietly carry the town's long history. Then, almost abruptly, Sentinel Marfa appears as a striking contrast. The building is crisp and modernist, the kind of clean, intentional design you'd expect in a big-city neighborhood, not tucked into a rugged, historic West Texas landscape. Inside, that contrast continues. The high ceilings and open, airy layout give the space a contemporary calm, while scattered tables display local art, newspapers, and small curios that root it firmly in Marfa's creative spirit. A hallway beside the ordering counter leads to a quieter back room, which in turn opens to an outdoor area shaded by a massive oak tree. The place was buzzing, full enough that we ended up sharing a table with another family, which somehow felt fitting in a town like this. Coffee is ordered at the counter, with both staff and baristas displaying some of that West Texas charm and with a smile. Drinks are picked up at the counter while food finds its way to you. The coffee drinks are crafted with beans from Picacho Coffee Roasters. Straight coffee and lattes were exceptional, and the breakfast tacos, made fresh with fluffy eggs, cheese, and potatoes, delivered exactly what we needed. By the time we left, we felt not just caffeinated, but welcomed and ready to explore a place where time seems to move at its own deliberate pace.

It was really interesting and fun to try. The plate we got it with looked pretty good, but the bread was stale and the homemade pickles were not very well pickled- Tasted like they were put in vinegar that same day. We mentioned to the staff that our bread was stale to see if we could get a fresher one but they said it's because it supposed to be like a crouton/ toast. We have had many croutons and toasts in our lives ofcourse that didn't feel and taste like stale bread but we just took it as a funny part of our Marfa stop experience. Not a place I'd come back to consider the quality for the price but definitely a memorable end to our short stop in Marfa. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! We also got the tasty smoked salmon tinned fish plate, which came with pickled carrots and radishes, castelvantrano olives, and crackers. It paired nicely with their funky orange wine. The owner/server was friendly, and nice to chat about their Texas wine. I ended up buying two bottles, my favorite being their rose. This is a place the locals go to hang out, and you get a real vibe for Marfa's small and close-knit community. It was fun to be there and be part of the action.

It's for a very Texas upscale vibe tho, I liked the ambiance quite a bit! They had a lot of tables outside with heat lamps because it does get cool in the evenings, and they had regular tables and bar seating inside. We didn't have a reservation bc I wasn't sure what time we'd be arriving, but luckily they were able to seat us immediately at the bar since all the other tables were taken (wait for a table was almost an hour and a half). Our waitress (her name was Dallas) was super sweet and attentive and clearly knew the menu well. It's not a very long menu and the portion sizes were a little small for the price, hence 4/5 stars. But the flavors were excellent! My dad and I both got the risotto which had a little more to the portion, and my mom got the trout which was admittedly very small for like $35ish. But as I said, excellent flavor there! She also got a cocktail for like $16ish that they made off menu because she likes sweeter drinks and all the main menu drinks were pretty dry. I spent like $170 in total for all our food plus tax and tip I think? Objectively not terrible, but again for the price - it was a little high. Will also mention they had a single stall restroom, it was immaculate! And there was a good bit of street parking just around the corner from the place in front of a church, so even though there's no lot you can find a place to park.
