An update: I was offered a full reimbursement from Jennifer, the owner for the most recent services…read moredone at the shop and was advised to go elsewhere, which I will gladly do. Thank you for your time and attention! My Horrific Experience at Point S in Mount Shasta I rarely leave negative reviews - especially for local businesses which I love supporting, but my experience at Point S in Mount Shasta was so deeply disappointing, I feel a responsibility to share it. After being a loyal customer for years, I scheduled a diagnostic appointment back in July 2025 for my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder--an appointment I waited an entire month for. I clearly outlined issues including a suspected fuel injection problem, oil leak, belt noise, inaccurate fuel gauge, and difficulty climbing hills. On the day of the appointment, I arrived at 8:00 AM and was handed the wrong service form by the owner Jennifer. After I corrected the mistake, I was told I'd receive an update by noon. No one called. I tried repeatedly to reach them by phone and was ignored. At 4:00 PM, I finally reached someone who told me my car hadn't been looked at and would need to stay overnight--something I explicitly stated I couldn't do due to work obligations and an urgent trip to the animal hospital in Redding for my dog. So I paid for a taxi to the shop, only to find that nothing had been done. The owner, Jennifer was extremely rude and impatient to me. The oil leak hadn't even been addressed, and I was told the shop didn't have the equipment for a fuel injection diagnostic--which begs the question: why was I given this appointment in the first place? Why wasn't I told this upfront? A month later, I paid for a fuel pump replacement based on their mechanic's recommendation, supposedly resolving all the initial issues. But within a week, all the same problems returned. I contacted them again, and once more, promises were made and broken. I was told I'd get a callback with an appointment before September 18, again by Jennifer the owner -- but I never did hear back from her. I even took time off work and stopped by in person, only to find no one available and no answers. She was gone and never called me back. This level of disorganization, miscommunication, disrespect and total lack of accountability is inexcusable. I lost time, money, and peace of mind--and still, my car isn't fixed. I trusted Point S with my time, vehicle, and hard-earned money, and was met with a pattern of negligence and disrespect. No one deserves this kind of treatment. I strongly urge others in the Mount Shasta area to think twice before bringing their vehicle here. I'm now seriously considering my next steps to resolve this situation. This is absolutely unacceptable! Thank you for your time and attention on this matter.

This company is untrustworthy and terrible to work with. I was in a parking lot after a vehicle accident where the police department had contacted the tow company to assist with the vehicles. I was traveling with my two children and in a rental car. I was on the phone with my insurance company as well as with the rental car company to try and figure out where I needed the car to be towed to. The driver stood next to me and a police officer while I asked him to please return it to the airport rental car location (as opposed to another rental car location that was closer) so that I could get a new rental car. He agreed, and my kids and I received an escort to the rental car location while we awaited delivery of the rental car to the location. After about an hour of waiting, I called the tow company only to find out the driver took the rental car back to the yard. At this point, I realized in the shuffle, I had no receipt, no paperwork, no contact card- just the word of the driver (his name might be Steven) as he was going to be following me over. I thought he was there to help because he was working with the police station. Come to find out that company does not " work with" neither the rental car company nor my insurance company (which of course they never told me in the parking lot.) I tried to explain my situation, as it appeared that was a misunderstanding- this is going to be a claim handled by insurance, I needed a new car and the rental car company needed the old one first. After talking to a horrible woman on the phone, I realized there was no misunderstanding, this company has no problem ripping off people in need. The only resolution Pacific Towing offered in order to release the vehicle was for me to read them my credit card card number over the phone so they could charge me $460.50, and then they would drive the vehicle 12 miles to where we were. She refused my suggestion of having the driver, bring the vehicle and showing me an invoice. I have no receipt, no paperwork whatsoever for this company, and I had to give them my credit card card from the airport in order for them to deliver the vehicle. He eventually showed up at the airport hours later so I could finally get my replacement vehicle and continue my vacation. He offered no apology, only excuses and complaints about how this is going to make the company look bad. How you look someone dead in the face and lie to them and take a vehicle hostage so that you can make money is beyond me.
