I was warned by a policeman on my way to Mike's Auto Complete. "He'll cheat you," he said. But I had read the wonderful reviews on Yelp and made my decision based on them. I'd also driven from Jubilee Railroad Campground in Dunsmuir, an hour or so away from Mike's, and wanted to deal with damage to my rv when I hit the electrical unit there when I backed into the space I'd been given. Mike impressed me by the way he dealt with me. Before my recent experience with Mike, I thought I was a good judge of people. Now I realize he fooled me. A door of one of the storage compartments of the rv needed to be replaced. "The insurance will probably take a long time to get to your claim," he told me. "If you write a check to me now, I can order one now and get to work on it sooner." I wrote the check. I waited with my rv for 10 days for Mike to get the door and start working on my rv, then I gave up. I told Mike to return the door when it arrived and then return my money. The door never arrived. When I contacted Mike, he said he couldn't order it because the company needed more information which he couldn't provide since my rv was no longer located where he was. I told Mike to send me $1200 from my payment to him and keep the rest for the time he'd spent on the job. "That's fair," he said. It's been over 2 months since that conversation. I haven't been able to contact Mike by phone or email since then. I sent the note below to him telling him that I would post this review if I hadn't received my money by October 7. It is now October 14. I've had no response from Mike. He still owes me $1200. read more

We had our ancient RV towed to Mike's because no one else would even agree to look at it. The radiator was shot and various parts were missing after a mechanic in Yreka took it apart and then closed his shop without reassembling it. Mike got it running again, even though he first had to machine some parts that were no longer available. I think he saw it as a challenge. We ended up selling the RV to him in the end, and everyone was satisfied. Mike is an honest and kind man who did his best for us. This was back in 2019, but I recently remembered him and want to thank him and wish him well. read more

HONEST MIKE! This good man deserves your business. I am a single female that decided to drive 3 hours to Mount Shasta with two other females. My car died this last Sunday at Hi-Lo Cafe in Weed, Ca. My car was completely dead. It would not crank at all. Couldn't even lock the doors. He got there and got my car to his nearby shop. He didn't charge me extra for coming out because I was so close to his shop. He got to me at 12:45pm and I drove away at 1:15 pm. 30 minutes for $75 dollars on a Sunday. All the other shops were closed. He could have scammed me but instead he explained the problem. Thank you Mike! He's a lifesaver. It was raining/snowing and super windy too. We had 2 O2 sensors fail in our motor home on a trip from Idaho to home in the bay area CA. We limped into Weed CA and was recommended to Mikes Auto Complete. Mike diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts necessary for the repair. Had us on the road the next business day. We found Mike very knowledgeable and reasonable. Our car stared experiencing trouble on NB I-5 headed through the Trinity Mtns on our way to Ashland, OR. Had to make an emergency stop in Weed, where we were dubious we could find anyone to fix our Lexus. Found Mike on Google and pulled in. Our car broke down on the I5 on our way to Weed for a stopover driving to Portland from Oakland. I was super worried that we'd get stuck there waiting on a repair after the AAA dropped us off, but Mike really came to our rescue. He answers my call at 10pm on Saturday night, arranged with the recovery driver how to drop off our car, and really allayed my worries. No promises about a fix until he'd gotten a look at it of course, but once he's taken a look first thing the next day he gave us solid advice, arranged parts and got a fix done. Labour was reasonable too, and off we went on our way up to Portland with only a few hours delay to our trip. Definitely highly recommend Mike if you wind up in the same situation as us. But really, go easy on them mountain roads and get your vehicle checked before you leave too! ;) (Oh and Mike, if you're reading this, we got to Portland with no issues, and the coolant seemed to be holding pretty well!) read more

Two days before thanksgiving, my boyfriend's 97' Camry kept overheating on a trip from Portland to Los Angeles. He was stuck in Yreka and all the shops around gave him a two week estimate on when they could have the car finished. Not only did Mike deliver on the week of Thanksgiving - he got him back on the road the same day the car was given to him!!!!! On our way up to Portland, our alternator failed at 4pm on a Sunday. Knowing that most auto shops were closed, we hunkered down and prepared to spend the night in Weed. Thankfully we called Mike and caught him just in time. Despite the fact he had just closed up shop, he was more than willing to help us out. Really wanted to give a good review but he has had my truck in his shop almost 3 months now and keeps putting it off to do other people's vehicles. I keep calling and asking for updates and he hasn't even worked on it. He runs his own shop by himself with limited to no help and it shows. He doesn't know how to balance his schedule or prioritize anything. Seems like he knows what he's doing as far as working on vehicles but cant manage anything. I wouldn't go back to him because you never know when you'll get your car back. I brought it to him in the end of August and wanted it for deer hunting. It's now october 27th ( last day of the deer hunting season) and he's told me he would have it done by friday the last two weeks only to tell me he got too busy and behind and didn't work on it at all!! Get a clue dude. How long have all these other vehicles been in your shop? Longer than mine at 3 months? Just warning people before they consider going here, you may have to wait a long time and lose some hair in the process. read more

I would give it a 0 star if I could. Mike didn't provide any service to my vehicle after 1.5 months when he kept telling me I'm next in line. I'm still waiting on nearly $1000 refund after 4 months. Literally have to baby Mike through each step. Now I can't even call him! Wow ! Where do I start ? My wife and I are full time park hosts for the state park systems in Oregon and California. We left one assignment in California on June 29th and headed North on Interstate 5 to report for our next assignment in Oregon on July 1st. We needed to stop for fuel at our usual spot at the Vista Dr. exit in South Weed. Halfway down the offramp, our truck died. Kaput. No Go. Mind you that we're hauling our 40 foot, quad slide Montana 5th wheel behind our truck. We telephoned the roadside assistance provider which is included in our Good Sam membership. A tow truck showed up and towed our RV to an RV park, and towed our truck to Mike's Auto Complete, which is owned by Michael Joe Marasco.. That's when the trouble started. Keep in mind that this was Friday, June 30th, and that we were supposed to be at our next assignment the next day. The guy at the garage told us that Michael wasn't around, but that he might be back later ... or not. Next day - Saturday, Michael called us to ask that we come by and that I re-program the ECM chip in the truck to make it easier for him to access the ECM with his computer. Bear in mind that this was a supposed auto mechanic requesting that his customer provide him with computer services at NO COST. I thought this was a bit odd, as it seemed that the problem was a failed fuel pump, but we stopped by and did as Michael asked. While I was using MY computer to access the truck's ECM chip via MY OBD II computer adapter to re-program it, I also downloaded the error codes, and gave the codes to Michael. Fast forward 3 days to July 3rd. My wife went by to see how things were going. Michael handed my wife a document to sign and a bill for anticipated cost of parts necessary to repair the truck. This bill included well over $100.00 for a computer diagnostic - which I had already done and handed to Michael 3 days previously, for new batteries - which were not needed, a new alternator - which was not needed, and for which Michael was unable to provide ANY diagnostic data of any sort or description, and a fuel pump. My wife had to sign the document and get out her credit card and to pay $656.37 on the spot, plus additional charges to be paid later after the work was done. Fast forward another 4 days to July 7th. Our RV has been sitting in an RV park for over a week for which we are paying the going daily rate. We have all but run out of groceries, and are in large part eating at restaurants. The temperatures in Weed, California have been in the high 90s and low 100s since we've been here. Our 3 dachshunds who travel with us are about to run away from home because they've been cooped up in our RV for over a week. UPDATE: July 7, 2017 We picked the truck up late this afternoon. The owner told us that he had replaced the fuel pump, but he was unable to tell us what he found wrong, or even if it was a mechanical or an electrical failure. All he had as evidence of anything was a burned out 15 amp fuse which sell anywhere for less than a dollar. BTW, our total bill by this time was well over $900.00. I asked for the fuel pump which he had removed so that I could have it inspected elsewhere, and he told me that he would SELL it to me for an additional $40.00. Bottom line. RUN, Don't walk away from Mike's Auto Complete in Weed, California. UPDATE: September, 12, 2017 Shortly after this incident occurred, I felt it was appropriate to file a grievance with the State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair. The B.A.R. stepped in and assigned a representative to investigate my grievance and to attempt a resolution. I'm not at liberty to disclose the details of the investigation, nor the details of the resolution which was reached. What I can say is that Calif B.A.R. did their job and that Michael Joe Marasco, the owner of Mike's Auto Complete and I have reached a settlement of the dispute. I am satisfied with the settlement, and I shall go on about my business. read more

Mike is a very caring and excellent mechanic. My car broke down Friday with a bad alternator. It was a Volvo and not easy to get the right parts. All the mechanics in the area said it would take until Monday or Tuesday for them to even look at my car. I was in a bad situation. Mike was able to get the replacement the next morning and spent his day off getting me back on the road again. It's rare to find such a good person these days that will take the time to help. At 6 pm on a Friday night, my transmission blew out on I-5 traveling from Seattle to LA. Devastated, I searched every possible auto and mechanic shop in the area to see where my car insurance could even take my car. After talking with my towing representative, he directed me to his personal and trustworthy mechanic, Mike. Man oh man did I get lucky! Not only did he give me a quick overview of what expenses I was looking at, how soon he could get the parts, and other technical details of the car, but he gave me a card for a local uber driver to take me up to get a rental car and recommended a motel for me and a friend to stay with. His shop closed at 6 pm but he was happy to work overtime to assure our safety and to help us in any way possible. HIGHLY recommend this amazing mechanic and know that you will receive the best and most thoughtful work in a timely manner.
