Margherita pizza was 10/10. The "Loaded Pizza" was a little flimsy causing the toppings to drop and create a minor mess. Overall food was fantastic, very filling as well. Service was very kind. Would've liked to see a more dressy uniform. A classic waiter uniform would have put the cherry on top in reference to the atmosphere. Aside from that, the atmosphere was wonderful, extremely cozy and homey! Would give a 4.5 because of the Loaded Pizza, but overall it is a five because of the Margherita pizza. read more

Finally got to try the much raved about pizza here. Every time I went it was packed out the door. This time, the trick was to go at an off hour. We chose this as our dinner spot for our NYC day trip and we were not disappointed! The ambiance in here is wonderful. The lighting is cozy and dim, there are many framed photos on the walls, and the fake plants help to set the mood. Service was incredible and attentive-- we got there just after they opened. Intrigued by the ratings and reviews, I called to make a reservation for 3 at 12:30 (same day). From the outside, it doesn't seem like much, but once you enter, the inviting atmosphere immediately engulfs you. A vintage Coke refrigerator and a vintage TV accommodate a view of the brick pizza oven, and delicate Italian music plays in the background. I'm already dreaming of coming back here during Christmas time for the cozy vibe. And onto the food...We ordered the fried artichokes and arugula salad as appetizers, and they were delicious. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, and it makes the BIGGEST difference. We then had, hands down, the best pizzas I've had thus far in my life. To die for. We got the Caprese and the Loaded pizzas to share among 3 (hungry) adults and devoured every last bite. Again, the freshness was insane, and each bite was bursting with flavor. Excellent personal pizzas with some of the best pizza crusts and sauce around. Very cute hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Service is very kind, however they are extremely understaffed. The poor waitress was basically the host, server, and waitress for like 10 tables on a very busy evening. They could use about 2 more waiters/waitresses for the amount of business they are receiving. I will absolutely be back and I highly recommend if you are over in Hell's Kitchen, but I hope there are more workers next time so I don't have to wait 45 minutes for a personal pizza!! read more

I cannot believe that it took me 8 months living 2 streets down to find this amazing restaurant! They have a brick oven inside serving my favorite wood fired pizza. The flavor of the sauces, the ingredients, and overall crisp of the pizza was great. I prefer my pizza extra well done for that added crisp, but this place is a hidden gem next to port authority. Truly had better pizza at a pizza by the slice place and there are a ton of them in the city. This is only my opinion and reflects my experience at this restaurant but I wouldn't come back. Oh and did I mention EVEN though they have the credit card acceptance emblem on the front door they neglect to tell you they add a 4% surcharge on credit card sales. Saying if you pay cash they don't charge the 4%. They are probably breaking their card acceptance agreement with the credit card companies. Came here for a late lunch around 2:45 on a Sunday afternoon. Our party of three was seated right away as there was only one other table occupied. The music was good! We ordered sangria, one plain Margherita pizza and one Margherita with pepperoni. The sangria was delicious, and so was the pizza! They're 12" personal pizzas cut into slices of four. Granted the slices are pretty big so they would probably be better off cut into eight. The crust was thin and the sauce was so tasty. We easily finished both pizzas despite having had lunch a couple hours earlier. I would say it was a bit pricy for what it was, and I wasn't a huge fan of the decor (although there were a couple of funny signs). Overall though, if I was in the area, I would think about coming back for lunch. read more

I hade the 12" Pizza Combination #1...the best pepperoni I have experienced on a pizza...the pepperoni slices may look small...but they are bursting with flavor...I savored every moment...my wife ordered the 12" Pizza Margherita..intially she was only going to have an appetizer...but when she saw the pizzas that were coming out of the oven...she couldn't help herself...she loved her pizza...light crust...just the right amount of fresh mozzarella and Sicilian olive oil...the best pizza she has experienced to date. I placed a big order on Seamless for several pies and dishes to feed 20ppl last minute - around 9am, and they open at 11am. I called at 11am to check in and they quickly got to the order once they opened, which I was super appreciative of. The order as supposed to be delivered by 12pm. 12:15pm rolled around and I called them to see what the status of my order was and I was told I'd get called back - never happened. Driver finally came at 12:45pm and told me that the woman who gave him the order only gave him HALF the order and he had to go back to the restaurant to pick it up. I had a team of 20 coworkers, including my boss, who were getting hangry. I called them back a third time to see what was up, got put on hold, and they never came back to the phone. Driver came back 25mins later with the rest of the order. Was a horrible experience and very poor consideration for a customer. The pizza was good, but certainly not good enough to put up with that. We each had the pepperoni pizza. It was pretty darn good. It was personal sized and Neapolitan style. It came out pretty quickly and was just right. It is not the best pizza the Earth has ever seen, but it is very good. Also, the service was very good was well. There was one guy working the room and he was efficient and very friendly with some regulars, very casual.
