We were both impressed with the sheds available on the website and what we saw on Yelp, so we decided Five Star Sheds would be perfect for our own custom shed. The guys were great to work with throughout every step of the process. They came out a couple months before installation to check out the building area and go over our options. (Because everyone was still getting in their pandemic home improvements, their spring schedule filled up quickly.) When filing the permit with the county, we learned that our original plan for the shed wouldn't be possible due to the property line distance requirements, so we needed to have a somewhat unusual 4'x12' design. The guys had no problem with this request and even designed a special roof overhang for my husband's kayak. A few days before installation, they gave us a heads up when previous project was running longer than initially anticipated, so we were able to make sure we could push it back by another day. It was amazing how quickly they built our incredible shed! The crew arrived just after 7:30 and by 2:30 we had a completed custom build! I watched from the window a few times throughout the process and each time I couldn't believe how quickly everything was coming together. It was so sturdy that they were able to test the shelves by standing on them. There are so many beautiful finishing touches to the shed, like metal plating at the entryway and decorative hinges. The parts of the shed also include very generous warranties, so if we ever have issues with the materials, we can call to get it fixed. We were blown away when we did our final walkthrough. If you are looking for a custom shed in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to call Five Star Sheds. They definitely live up to their business name. Chose the 12x24 Dutch-style metal roof shed with carriage-style garage door and upgraded windows. Shed was produced and shipped to Warrenton quickly (12/18/2025). Shed delivered 1/15/2026 with solar system installed a week later. Generally, the experience was very good. Delivery was not well planned resulting in unnecessary damage to the lawn - won't know the full extent of the damage until sprinkler system turn-on in Spring but nothing irreparable. All that said, the shed was unloaded precisely in the desired location on the shed pad. Solar install also went smoothly with Obed mounting the roof-top 6-panel solar, 3kw system within a few hours. Workflow and scheduling could be improved with better coordination. For example, since the shed was due on the Warrenton lot on 12/18, upfront scheduling could have delivered the shed sooner. Also, better planning for the delivery could prevent unnecessary trial and error upon arrival. Definitely recommend Capitol Sheds and planning to buy from them again for a custom cabin to be placed on another property out in West Virginia.

I could not have achieved the style we obtained, and it got done a lot more quickly than I could do. One tip; use their service for site preparation if you plan to place the structure in a non-flat area. Our location was on a hill that sloped in two directions. The folks who prepared the (pressure-treated lumber + gravel) site constructed a perfectly flat and super durable pad with a 4-foot-high corner wall to receive the structure. I plan to use Absolutely Amish again to build a larger structure in another location on our property.

The young man who I initially dealt with was cordial and took the time to address my questions and concerns. When I decided to buy from them I ended up dealing with another person - a young lady who seemed to be perturbed. When I looked inside the shed I was interested in, I noticed a cigarette butt that wasn't there when I first visited. I mentioned it to her and stated that "you guys should at least clean out such trash before you deliver the shed". I purchased the shed at a decent price because of the Veterans Day discount with delivery to be determined. When the shed was delivered, I was not impressed with the delivery driver as he seemed too lazy to use any dolly wheels and actually ended up dragging the shed down my driveway. He claims that since it was raining the shed will slide along with no issues - OKAY? When we finally set the shed down, he experienced an issue with one of the doors not wanting to close without a lot of effort. He assured me that it would be alright after the shed "settled" - OKAY? Stor-Mor from Kentucky, the corporate location, called me to see how the delivery went. It just so happens I was having to deal with the door not closing after it had sat overnight. I guess it did "settle" and made things worse. The gentleman I talked to assured me that it was normal and that all I would need was to install a wedge on the "sled" closest to the door and that is should only take a few millimeters to correct the issue - okay? I also asked him if the sled was supposed to come with keys to lock the door since it had a keyslot on it. He told me to look inside since they are usually hung on one of the nails inside. I told him I did and there doesn't seem to be any. He told me to fill out a "Repair Form" from their website and they would send me a replacement - OKAY. I went back to where I had bought the shed from in case they had the keys. The same female who I had previously dealt with (NO - THEY NEVER CLEANED UP THE TRASH FROM THE SHED TO INCLUDE THAT CIGARETTE BUTT) and she said she would call her manager about it and call me back. I never got that call but instead received a text that I should call "Customer Service" about it - SERIOUSLY? As it turns out the "Repair Form" is supposed to be filled out by the dealer since it needed their information and none of mine. But I filled it out (online) not knowing if it will be just thrown out and submitted it on Nov 21st. As I am writing this review, it is Dec 10th and I am still waiting for the replacement latch - THAT I HAVE TO INSTALL MYSELF AFTER I REMOVE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH THE SHED - has not arrived. The only indication this was being addressed was when I initially received a message from FEDEX that I will be receiving a package from "Stor-Mor Portable Buildings" Dec 5th with a delivery date of Dec 8th. Upon arrival of the shed i walk to my backyard with the driver to be told it cannot be installed after i questioned them about looking at the property the driver stated that they didnt even get off of their vehicle and took the shed back. Now ive been on the phone trying to get my money back from the loan place they use and apparently they dont even have my contract because its not a fully established contract. Dont purchase from this place unless you want liars, unreliable, and in my eyes thieves because i gave my payment to secure storage not the loan place and now the loan place is telling me to contact secure storage which im just gonna get the run around from them again.

I came in several times looking for stone, trying to price out exactly what I needed for my project. Each visit felt more disappointing than the last. I was "helped" by someone who was clearly overly qualified for the position -- and unfortunately, acted like they were far too good for the job. The lack of interest, lack of effort, and lack of basic customer service was obvious from the moment I walked in. After multiple trips, clear explanations of what I needed, and plenty of opportunities for this new associate (who will remain nameless for the sake of this review) to actually assist me, it became clear they simply didn't care. Their indifference cost them a customer who was ready to spend real money and generate real profit for the business.
