Decent. Nothing to write home about. Interior and furnishing are really nice. They don't serve food anymore 30 min to close. They have a food menu but no prices on it.... When I asked if they had one with prices they said no?? What?? Um, how do you have a menu with no prices? Their drink menu does but their food menu doesn't. Make it make sense.

Capitol Cafe (not to be confused with Capital One Cafe) is a cozy, historically-inspired spot located next to The Capitol. Surprisingly, despite its location, the prices are reasonable and average to your every day Austin coffee shop. The interior decor features tons of political photographs (even in the restrooms) and legislative-styled furniture that gives you the feeling of stepping into a coffee shop in The Capitol itself. It's easily accessible and offers a good number of seating options for intimate conversations.

I went here multiple times during the book festival and the service was friendly each time. The coffee was consistently good as well!

They have every kind of sweetener, not just one like other places.

I have really taken a liking to this coffee stop. A lot of effort went into decorating this place. It has wonderful State Capital accents throughout and it is a place that you can casually visit, or you can be dressed up to the nines and not feel over dressed. It's the perfect business meeting spot. I love to stop here on the way to the capital. Also, dogs are allowed in the outdoor patio. Here the coffee is as fresh as can be, and the employees are always helpful. Some coffee shops try to push their one brand of sweetener on you, but here there is as large a variety as can be here.

How does this place only have one (1) review? Well, now it has two (2). It's a nice little cafe/coffee shop down the street from the State Capitol. It has a good atmosphere, and the service seems good as well. Being so close to the Capitol, and smack dab in the bluest part of the bluest city in Texas (demographically), it has an interesting mix of people coming and going. I needed a place to charge my phone this afternoon, and this was the first place I stumbled upon. Of course, my introverted ass drank in every moment - watching the hustle and bustle come and go; listening to conversations of young urban professionals, legislative pros, and young progressive ideologues. Loved every minute of it!

This coffee shop is Capitol themed (hence the name) and makes you feel as though you're enjoying your coffee, latte, or even beer (yes they have beer) in a wing of the Capitol. It's conveniently located a block from the Capitol and is decorated with all things State of Texas from the chairs and even the tables. Pictures of your very own Governor and well as other politicians cover ever inch of the wall. While they have your regular Chai Teas, coffee drinks, and other lattes, they also have Texas themed drinks as well. And instead of the usual small, med, large sizes, their sizes are Gov, Sen, House. How cute! As a first time customer I was suggested to try the Texas Honey Latte. Pretty tasty! It includes a mix of Honey and Vanilla and is topped with Cinnamon. This shop also offers indoor and outdoor seating with Texas sized chairs for your pleasure.

Nice little cafe a couple blocks from the Capital. We had some ice cream, coffee, and hot chocolate. Nice venue, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

In the warmer weather which is plentiful in Texas sometimes I shift my focus towards Mexican Lagers and when we were visiting here that sounded amazing. So I went with the Primos Lager. It was an excellent Mexican Lager and totally what I wanted in the flavor profile. Occasionally other Mexican Lagers can be a letdown but not in this case at all... nope... not one bit. In the flavor profile you will taste a grainy flavor, maltiness (but it's not heavy handed. It's very well balanced), citrus and lime are present as well. The Primos is so easy to drink that you could easily have more than one in one sitting... but I behaved and just had the one. Great brewery with fairly large outdoor and indoor seating however it can fill up real fast on Fridays and weekends.

My friend wanted to watch a golf tournament, and the bartender was kind enough to change the channel on one of the TVs for us. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which makes this brewery a great place to hang out with friends.

Unfortunately, we missed meeting up however my friend and I did get to check out the venue, listen to a couple of the bands and try a light dinner. The bands that we heard were Lew Apollo and Brother Thunder. The ambiance was great - the place is open to the sky and the benefit of great weather made it a fantastic day to be there. At our arrival, the crowd was minimal. We were able to sit near the stage and enjoy the music vibes. After reviewing the menu, we went to the bar to place the order. I decided to go with 2 chili dogs, and my friend ordered the steak sliders with waffle fries. They give you a number and when the board lights up with your number, then you go to the pick-up window to get your food. There was maybe a 10-12-minute wait. I thought that prices were very reasonable and the taste was good enough. We learned that the Rustic Tap is an LSU bar and they host a lot of the game watches. We used a rideshare, so I don't know how convenient or easy parking is in this area. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would consider coming back for future events.

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. Inside the bathroom there is a sign about safety and if you need assistants. I did take a picture of it. On our way out, Brian the manager, said good night to us and waved. We later saw Brian at another place. And I'll write about that in my review for that place as well. Brian, you're Doll, thank you for your hospitality.
