Blueberry Ube Matcha
Manit D.

Visited since they give free drinks for MLB Mondays! I got the blueberry ube matcha latte, honestly not bad I think it was pretty good, did not taste ube though. I think its worth for people who have capital one (since 50% off) but I would not pay the normal price which is around $9 for this. It's also a great space to work/study! Operated by Verve.

Inside - Big logo. Can't miss it.

Met my friend here for a girly coffee date recently! So fun! She got a coffee and I got an iced tea. I also got an avocado toast with egg. It was toasted and made to order. Tasted delicious. Spacious cafe space inside Capital One. Comfy and great place to catch up. I believe there's 50% off drinks if you are a Capital One or Discover card member. Dog friendly, too. Located on S. Main Street and Mt. Diablo Blvd.

If I understand correctly, the cafe is hosted by Verve Coffee? Either way I love the concept of being able to bank, have coffee, grab a quick bite, and work at the same place! Street parking is limited by there is a $2/hr parking garage about a 3-5 minute walk away. Theres plenty of small tables and seating inside, even sofa seats but limited outlets (some extension cords would be a great idea *wink wink*) for working remotely. I had the Lavender Latte and it was light, not too sweet, and icy cold. I would have enjoyed more of a lavender taste though. There was a line upon entering to order since there was no one attending the register and there was only a barista making drinks attentively but as soon as a second employee arrived and got the orders in, the service was quick.

- Pros: Free coffee Mondays sometimes, 50% off for capital one members or discover? Hella seating, and you can book rooms! Clean restrooms. Dog friendly - Cons: coffee/matcha isn't great!!!!! Gets packed because of all the WFH and students Sometimes there's kids running around. Limited outlets. Parking: free 3 hour structure nearby. I come here often because I'm a student and I enjoy when they have free coffee !!

The coffee here is excellent, and I really enjoy not only the excellent service by the baristas, but the calm ambiance that the cafe offers, when you're waiting for your order. It's always clean, quaint, and a nice place to catch up with friends.

What a lovely cafe! As a capital one venture X holder, I love that we get 50% off handcrafted drinks. I ordered a honey lavender latte, bowl of soul (jasmine tea + honey + soy milk), and a Honduras pour over, and all were delicious. They for some reason don't fill up the whole cup, but for 50% off, I can't complain. Upon walking in, there were only two people working, and they seemed a bit overwhelmed, so he didn't take my order for a few mins. However once he did, it was pretty fast that we got our drinks. The interior is gorgeous, and there's an upstairs and downstairs area for people to converse, do work, or relax. I wish I lived closer so I could come back!

We needed to pass some time before dinner. My wife suggested the Capital One Cafe. I liked the idea, knowing we get a discount with my Capital One credit card. I ordered my usual latte, and my wife had a decaffeinated Americano. There was plenty of seating, so we went upstairs to enjoy our drinks. The cafe was full of students and people on business calls. It's a great place to relax while others work.

actually found a cafe in this general area that's good to work/study in. large windows with lots of light, outlets scattered around, lots of people present if you like to people watch & a semi quieter area on the second floor. apparently discover also qualifies for the 50% off coupon alongside capital one cards, so that was a huge plus. my order came out to $8 for both items i purchased after the discount. i got a hot matcha latte and a blueberry muffin. my drink was lukewarm, like literally not hot at all. a little confused, but wrote it off as a fluke. the flavor of it though was fine. blueberry muffin is a little whack, but if you're in need of a small snack while studying, this isn't a bad option. overall enjoyed hanging out here for a few hours.

Decided to stop by on my way to Sweetgreen on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. The baristas were friendly and I was able to purchase a Cortado with my Capital One card for 50% off. Very good coffee (I believe they partner with Verve)! They also still have a lot of the free Capital One MagSafe wallets that you can stick to the back of your phone. It fits around 2-3 cards. There's also a lot of places to sit. Upstairs has a few more couches and longer 4 seater tables. I don't see too many plugs in the seats, though. If I was more local, I could see myself coming here more often!

I am in love with the capital one ads on TV so I was so excited to try the capital one café today. It was such a great experience. The café is so beautiful and the people that work there are so nice. The guy at the counter was the best! I felt like the desserts were limited. Well they did have a lot of desserts, but none of them really looked that great. We got the orange scone and it was just OK and the guy gave us two little chocolate gingerbread man and candy cane and that was really sweet. We got the seasonal cinnamon maple latte and that was really good. It was just so fun to be there and they have the steel that if you're capital one customer that you get 50% off your handcrafted drink so that's really cool. I'm not a capital one customer, but it made me think about becoming one! I love the commercials so glad we went in and they serve Verve coffee which is the bomb.

You see a person you consider a friend that you do business with, and yell out to him to help. He comes to you, and has the tools to get you out. He thinks to himself, I can get him to safety, but I was not the one who pushed him in, so I have no liability, so I am just going to watch him go under. That paints the picture of my bank for 50 years, Wells Fargo. Someone was scammed in our family. We went to Wells Fargo Fraud, gave them names, account numbers, and more proof. They said we were very informative, and had a good case. They also verified that the money had beed deposited into a Wells Fargo account in New Jersey, and that the money was till there. They told us that it could not be withdrwn till the next day. They told us they could flag that account, and put a hold on that account. We only needed to have a hold put on it for a few hours. They refused to help us. The next morning, the money was gone. Because they were not liable for the scam, they refused to assist us in protecting our money, even though they told us they could. They were in the clear. They had a choice of the money staying with their 50 year customer, or going to a scammer in New Jersey. Were know where their heart is! By the way, all of this took place just minutes after the branch had closed. If the branch was open, they would have taken care of this. By the time we could have gotten to the branch the following day, which we did, it was noon in New Jersey. Here is a statement from a Wells Fargo Website. Wells Fargo has implemented policies to protect seniors from potential fraud by allowing staff to ask questions regarding large withdrawals or transfers. This is part of their commitment to safeguarding vulnerable clients and ensuring that transactions are legitimate and authorized. Wells Fargo's Policy on Senior Transactions Wells Fargo has specific measures in place to protect seniors. Fraud Prevention -- Staff are trained to identify and question unusual transactions to prevent elder fraud. Legal Framework -- New banking laws permit banks to freeze transactions for up to 14 days if fraud is suspected. Client Education -- Wells Fargo encourages seniors to be aware of potential scams and to report suspicious activity. Community Involvement -- The bank promotes local initiatives to raise awareness about elder financial abuse. None of the above was done!

Review #005 - 2020…read more I've been to this BofA on many occasions & service is usually pretty good. Although, a few times I've been stuck waiting in line with only one teller assisting everyone so that wasn't too fun. They do try to "encourage" you to sign up for "special" services if you have a business account with a certain amount of money just sitting there doing nothing. Unfortunately, I'm usually in a hurry whenever I'm here so I've never had a chance to talk to anyone about those services. It's usually best to come in earlier in the morning on weekdays as it gets pretty busy on Saturdays. They do have a free parking lot right behind the building, which is pretty uncommon in this area, since everybody's out to get your money. Yes, I do hate meter maids, as they've ticketed me twice! I understand it's their job to ticket you, but two minutes after you park & try to get change from a nearby shop is just unacceptable! Not that I was trying to be cheap, but they literally force you to pay for a full hour when you use your credit card, even when you only need to be there for less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I forgot about the free parking lot in the back and ended up parking in a private lot so that was my own mistake this time.

It actually matters to me where a branch is located; it often can correlate with said staff reflecting the feel of the area. First: Mitra was the one who I first met and got to know on a first-name basis. Courteous with a smile, open to a laugh, competent, attentive. Professional. She is great to deal with. Second: Margaret was one seeking further banking business with me, engaging and building rapport, conversing over culture, philosophy, open to a laugh. In running a business, depending on the relationship, spending time in actual conversation is part of the work day. I perform such interactions in my business life, whether I am the one seeking to build a trusting relationship with a customer or on the opposite end of one attempting that with me. Margaret is doing a good job. Third: Mei and Natalie. Both extend a sincere smile, efficiently process my checks, all the while being warm and open to my good ( or corny ) jokes. ;-) These are the touches that a customer like me appreciates. Believe me, I stopped using another branch over their flat to blank to negative dispositions. An enduring bad attitude I will not tolerate. There are probably others who feel the same. Another appreciation for this branch: coffee consistently available ( cannot say that for two other local branches ), water, and Halloween/Summer candies. Small touches count and communicate appreciation to customers. For my current banking needs, this branch, "The Three M's & an N", keep me coming back. Keep it up!

At this branch, the ATM is almost always down. It's always no cash available currently (May and June 2024). 2. I tried to get ahold of its mortgage business - and the agent there are mostly not reachable. They also dissuade me from the best available options - which is availability and eligibility of 1st time home owner loans/alternatives. To be fair, maybe they're just not supposed to tell you what's right. 3. the ATM took my money and didn't send me a receipt. Nowadays, I have to always video myself putting in money for proof. It has come to that level of untrustworthiness. 4. I always need to watch out for the monthly fee that they charge onto my account and then spend time to call them to reverse it because I had sufficient amount in my account, or have enough direct deposit for the month, or whichever the reason it is that should have waived the monthly charge. 5. All the foreign money request is no longer available on site. You'll need to request well in advanced... but seriously, I thought at least they'll have the Euro's or something that is usually requested (since Euros cover lots of country... like almost a continent). 6. For this particular branch, they never have enough Lunar New Year envelopes - I have to go to branch nearby (Pleasant Hill for example). I hope it gets better.

So we walked in after opening on Monday expecting the notary to sign and two witnesses from the bank to also sign, which is what my sister in law did at her bank. We walked across to Poppy Bank, who sadly also didn't have a notary on site, but did point us to UPS where they get items notarized themselves. We ended up going to the Rossmooor location and got everything notarized with two UPS employee as witnesses with absolutely no issues. All in all, my opinion of this bank dropped even lower than it was and I won't be coming back.
