Street parking is limited by there is a $2/hr parking garage about a 3-5 minute walk away. Theres plenty of small tables and seating inside, even sofa seats but limited outlets (some extension cords would be a great idea *wink wink*) for working remotely. I had the Lavender Latte and it was light, not too sweet, and icy cold. I would have enjoyed more of a lavender taste though. I ordered a honey lavender latte, bowl of soul (jasmine tea + honey + soy milk), and a Honduras pour over, and all were delicious. They for some reason don't fill up the whole cup, but for 50% off, I can't complain. Upon walking in, there were only two people working, and they seemed a bit overwhelmed, so he didn't take my order for a few mins. However once he did, it was pretty fast that we got our drinks. actually found a cafe in this general area that's good to work/study in. large windows with lots of light, outlets scattered around, lots of people present if you like to people watch & a semi quieter area on the second floor. apparently discover also qualifies for the 50% off coupon alongside capital one cards, so that was a huge plus. my order came out to $8 for both items i purchased after the discount. i got a hot matcha latte and a blueberry muffin. my drink was lukewarm, like literally not hot at all. a little confused, but wrote it off as a fluke. the flavor of it though was fine. blueberry muffin is a little whack, but if you're in need of a small snack while studying, this isn't a bad option. overall enjoyed hanging out here for a few hours. read more

I am in love with the capital one ads on TV so I was so excited to try the capital one café today. It was such a great experience. The café is so beautiful and the people that work there are so nice. The guy at the counter was the best! I felt like the desserts were limited. Well they did have a lot of desserts, but none of them really looked that great. We got the orange scone and it was just OK and the guy gave us two little chocolate gingerbread man and candy cane and that was really sweet. We got the seasonal cinnamon maple latte and that was really good. It was just so fun to be there and they have the steel that if you're capital one customer that you get 50% off your handcrafted drink so that's really cool. Thank you to the team member that helped me with my QR codes even though I know I hadn't used them all yet. I don't know what was going on but they weren't working when I was ordering my coffee. I ordered one of their winter sips and it was great. I wish I had more time to just sit in the cafe and enjoy it. That's one of my favorite things to do. However, it took so long to try to park in the area that I was running short on time. Parking can be kinda tough here (esp in Dec when it's around gift shopping time). I take my toddlers here often to grab a cup of matcha or coffee, and the service is always wonderful. The staff are genuinely kind--they even come over to let me know about any promotions or free toddler-friendly events happening at the bank. They use Verve coffee, which a friend told me is one of the best-quality brands, and you can really taste the difference. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming every time I visit. Decided to stop by on my way to Sweetgreen on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. The baristas were friendly and I was able to purchase a Cortado with my Capital One card for 50% off. Very good coffee (I believe they partner with Verve)! They also still have a lot of the free Capital One MagSafe wallets that you can stick to the back of your phone. It fits around 2-3 cards. There's also a lot of places to sit. Upstairs has a few more couches and longer 4 seater tables. I don't see too many plugs in the seats, though. I'll admit, I wouldn't typically think to pop in to a Capital One Cafe unless I needed help with something credit card related, but when I found myself in the area...I had to try it. The staff was really sweet and because I have a credit card with Capital One, I received a discount on my coffee. Woohoo! It's also nice having the credit card staff there who can help with credit-type questions. We dined and drank outside because it was a little too noisy with the folks chatting, but it might just be my own sound sensitivity. I would love to see a little more selection of snacks, but my slightly overpriced croissant breakfast sandwich tasted like a pretty typical reheated grab and go option. This was exactly what I needed for a day! I found myself in a sticky situation that couldn't be avoided where I had to be in Walnut Creek no earlier than 8am on a Monday morning and then had a virtual class at 8:30am sharp. There was no way I'd make it back home in time for class so I really just needed a spot where I could work for the day. To my surprise, Capital One café popped up in my search for a "work space" and I'm so glad I found it because being a newish Capital One banker I had thought there were no Capital One cafes in California but here it is in Walnut Creek! It's sort of newer in the last year so it's super clean. It's a very large café, two stories, with an elevator or stairs, easily handicap accessible and lots of natural light coming through the large open windows. You can order some food items (not much Gluten-Free options though), plenty of snacks, and a pretty long list of hot or cold beverages. Capital One members get a 50% discount on beverages (yay!). Service was very friendly, greeted you with a nice smile and a "hello" and they were also fast. The best part about this place is there were lots of tables/comfortable seating to choose from on the main floor or the second floor, all thoughtfully situated with just the right amount of space for separation. While not all tables had access to an outlet, there were a few available along the wall downstairs and a bar-type seating with outlets upstairs. They also have appropriate signage to provide some instructions on how to keep the community areas nice and clean. You can also book "nooks" for small meetings or a slightly bigger meeting room for a group. It was not very loud although there was some light chatter but I was able to be on a Zoom meeting without any problems and in the right spot could have ample privacy. Would definitely come again if I needed a place to park and work in the area! read more

The cafe was full of random people and loud and disorganized, sat down at the only available seat at the opposite end of a 12 person table from a lady and other customer, only to be chastised and snarled at by the woman to go elsewhere because they were talking about private financial information. However, I didn't really enjoy the pastries -- they didn't taste good, and I couldn't finish them. I can't say for sure how fresh they were. The coffee was average, a bit watered down in my opinion. Design choices that actively discourage staying--and not in a good way. The Capital One Walnut Creek study lounge has seven to eight study tables lined against the wall with not a single electrical outlet. In a space marketed for studying or working, this feels intentional--like a subtle way to push people out once their laptop battery dies. If you don't want people staying, just say that. Don't call it a study lounge. To make it worse, the only non-dairy option available is barista almond milk, which contains multiple emulsifiers and gums. So the one "healthier" option has effectively been stripped away and replaced with a heavily processed version. Between that and the lack of outlets, it feels like someone made a series of decisions without thinking through reality. The space looks nice, but functionally it's an epic fail. Between no power access and genuinely clean "milk" drink options, this place quietly discourages anyone who wants to stay longer than 20 minutes and take care of themselves while doing so. Someone higher up really needs to rethink--or stop making--these decisions. Capital One, Colby Barr, and Ryan O'Donova maybe need to get a clue. read more

I was looking for a plug to charge and I plugged into the counter. She promptly informed me that it was a banking area and if someone came in to open an account I'd be asked to move. The whole counter was empty. She repeated it to me 3 times. In a very authoritative fashion. She was so rude and disrespectful. It's the only location of a line of plugs. So it's a dumb place to do banking since it looks more like a charging area. I keep all my savings at capitol one. This banker really rubbed me the wrong way. read more

I just went to this cafe which is a great location due to its convenient location in Broadway plaza. I was taken aback by my interaction and observation of the employees. I gave my order to a very friendly gentlemen who graciously answered questions about some of the ingredients and demonstrated great patience. As I was waiting for my drinks, his female coworker in a messy bun and glasses seemed to have reprimanded him for explaining the ingredients. Once my drinks were ready, I noticed that the order was wrong. I had ordered 2 12 oz drinks but was given a 12 oz drink and an 8 oz. The female employee quickly said I had ordered an 8 oz order but was willing to make the correct drink on them. She then proceeded to reprimand the male coworker for getting the order wrong. I then checked my receipt and saw the male employee had indeed entered my order correctly. I interjected her and said that she was wrong and her coworker got it right. She then said that she was got it wrong. BUT she did not apologize to me or her coworker. Ultimately I got the drinks I paid for but was extremely taken aback by the female employee. I hope that management is able to discuss her customer service and teach her that she should apologize for when she is wrong. Additionally I hope that management recognizes the male employee for his great service. The drinks were delicious and 50% off makes it a decent price. Overall I would come again since it's a nice space for coffee and WiFi but would greatly appreciate if the female employee was friendlier. read more

I've been here several times now and I appreciate a lot to what it has to offer. They used to have a PEET'S COFFE establishment inside but now it's the VERVE COFFEE. Debit and Credit card holders get half of their drinks! There's seatings both upstairs and downstairs, with outlets in most areas and clean restrooms.
