I purchased an SUV from Capital Motor. Less than a week later, my check engine light came on, and a couple of weeks after that, multiple lights came on. The guys at Capital Motors told me that the car would be checked out before I got it, but they did not honor that promise. I got ripped off. They were very good at telling me one thing and doing another. I advise anyone who shops for a car at Capital Motors to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic before the purchase. They had the car off the lot when I arrived to pick it up, so I thought they were having it checked out before they sold it to me. While I was filling out the paperwork, I specifically spoke to them about the car's condition, and they said I wouldn't need to get anything fixed on it for a while, as it was in pretty good condition. That was a lie. About $4,000 worth of work was needed to keep it on the road. There was a small crack on the window, and they said that they would get it fixed, but all they did was put hardener on it. Boy, was I wrong about this place. Obviously, honoring one's work means nothing to these guys. They had me fooled, and I told them before I purchased the car to have it checked out, but they lied to my face and said that the car was good. I REGRET buying from Capital Motors. Shut this place down because God doesn't like ugly, and they showed me just how ugly they were. read more

I do not recommend buying a car from this dealership I bought a 2018 Honda accord might as well say it's a brand new car... I had the car for 3 months the first month of having the car the car started jerking on me the man kept saying it was the spark plugs that was wrong with the car I went back up there they claim they fixed the spark plugs... while leaving going down the highway the car did the same thing again to the point when I got home the car wouldn't even crank for me. So they came & picked up the car this time they claim they fixed them again a week go by the car then started doing the jerking everyday I crank it up... so I find someone myself to fix it & they tell me it don't look like the spark plugs was even touched .... after The person Fixes that the car was still doing the same thing so obviously that was not the problem on the car so I take the car to the Honda dealership cause at this point the car is not even trying to crank again the Honda dealership tells me that it is the head gasket & it would be 5000 to fix it I dont think that far considering I only had the car for 3 months & I put 3000 down on the car. We bought a 2012 Honda from them and were told they would honor problems within first 30 days-we believed Mauricio and didn't get it in writing. Non functional within 3 weeks (no crankshaft sensor-$500)-this place is so notorious that the security guard we approached for help way over in Wake Forest spotted the Capitol tags and correctly said we were totally out of luck. 2 more breakdowns (computer) and slow leak tire plus we paid and additional $40 to have the tags delivered to our house and they were never sent. Purchased a 4x4f 150 and was told the truck was from Texas and it had no rust. almost 6 months later I find out the truck had repairs done in Hawaii and another northern state. also had rust spots coming through were they were patched just enough to sell it. the salesman told me they never purchased northern vehicles and I would never find a rust car on the lot. well you wont because they patch them and lie to the customers! these people are either not honest or are just to lazy to learn what they are selling. whatever way that is they lied either way i will never purchase another vehicle from there and would strongly advise you don't either. We bought our car from here over a year ago but I am just getting around to reviewing now. We bought a 2006 4Runner from this dealership we insisted on a warranty and they set us up with a company for this and took our money. First issue is it took over a month to get warranty actually set up even though they took the payment for it. Then after we received the warranty we took it to get looked at bc we were having an issue and the car was garbage. It ended up needing a new transmission, rotors, radiator, cv axels, etc. The warranty company was great and they covered many of the repairs but we still had to come up with about $3000 plus be out of a car for a month. This business is terrible and not professional. Do not buy. I bought my car from them at the beginning of June 2018 and less then 3 months later the car is not drivable. They have an issue with getting people their tags with the 1 month after purchase. I had this issue as well as many others I have read reviews on. The other thing is that on their website and the secondary site I found the car on it had a picture of the miles. I didn't realize until I came home with the car that the miles advertised and the actual miles. Is 1,000 miles difference. Now I understand that people test drive but that is deceiving. I called them about not getting my tags and talked to Mauricio and then Sal. Through all the crap the dmv rejected my registration due to an error the dealership made not me. I also in my waiting called the dmv in Raleigh and they looked up the VIN and said they had never had any paperwork for this car, it would have showed up rejected somewhere in the system if it had. So that shows me that they never had brought my paperwork in most likely. On the registration card I got back, a temporary one., it says a $20 late pen. Which again corroborates they were late in bringing and doing what they needed to do. I've been trying to get ahold of the business. For a couple weeks and have been dicked around by Mauricio and Sal. They Are terrible people. A couple weeks ago the engine starts making a terrible noise. I went to 2 shops and they said it needs to be replaced 3-4K. And the struts need to be done. 1k that is something they should have known about since it was creaking within a week of me having it. After I have had the car less than 3 months. They never offered me a warranty upon purchasing my car. They said because it is as is and it has been 'too long' they cannot do anything. Sal is a piece of crap. He told me to go to hell. I have been begging them basically to help me and they don't give a shit. Buy here at your own risk. I am going to trash them on any review sight if it means that I can help inform people of their shady business. read more

I never felt pressured to make a decision, even when another customer was interested in the same vehicle. In fact, within minutes of agreeing to a deal with Mauricio, the other customer walked in the door and said they wanted the vehicle. Even though the perfect opportunity to initiate a bidding war presented itself, Mauricio told the woman a deal was done (losing the other customer as a result). It's rare to find a used car salesman with that type of integrity and I am so thankful that a handshake and your word still means something. If I could give 0 stars I would. I did my research before going to this dealer and although it looks like your typical shady dealership, the reviews seemed to come back more positive than negative, and I decided to go with the "great deal". I bought my vehicle at the end of March beginning of April; there were some issues that needed fixing ( required new motor mounts, missing a spare tire, missing the headphones, dvd remote control, ripped seats, bum outlet in the back, bad windshield wipers, etc)... However I was assured that all of the above would be taken care of ( we put it in writing) and I was verbally assured that the van had been checked by their mechanic and that there were no other issues to worry about. I purchased the vehicle and came back for them to fix the aforementioned items... They fixed one motor mount (although in the paper work it states that they are to fix them all) and the other motor mount still requires fixing. They promised to send out a brand new entertainment package (headphones and remote) to my home address, as well as the spare tire; and they fixed the seats and bum outlet while I was there. All in all I was a satisfied customer, until I fast forward to the beginning of July just 2.5 months later and I have yet to receive my entertainment package or the spare tire in the mail. The wiper blades were never fixed. The alternator has just completely shut off so now the car does not even run, and on top of all of that I had been calling since the day after I left in March ( I live 2 hours away) to let them know that the car was still acting funny, and each time I was told I needed to speak with my salesman Bobby. No one else would help... which as it turns out Bobby was in the hospital shortly after I bought the car and had not returned to work until about a week ago. I was told numerous times that the manager Saul would call me back... but of course that never happened. As it happens, I finally spoke to Bobby about 5 days ago and was told they would take care of all the issues, and they were very sorry about everything. I finally had a ray of hope. Then Bobby promises to call me back that day to confirm the appointment time for the car. Of course his phone call never happens... Fast forward to today... I finally spoke with the manager Saul who now refuses to send the items to me in the mail ( instead claiming that I should come pick them up when I live 2 hours away and am 8 months pregnant with two other children), he also refuses to fix any of the remaining items that we have WRITTEN in our contract, and has been just plain rude. The car is not running and I will have to pay to get it fixed. When the mechanic looked at it he said they had to know they were selling a lemon of a car and that it had been purposefully hidden. Instead of them doing the right thing and fixing what they promised to fix and making sure they sell a quality used vehicle, they are scamming people and causing my harm than good. Now I will have to take the time to go through the courts to sue them. I would avoid these people at all costs. Worst car buying experience I've ever had read more

Price was good, Car looked clean for 2012 with 49,000 miles. Bought car, Sales man said car had 100,000 Drive train and 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. so figured if anything is wrong just take it to the dealer! Hyundai Dealer said car had 3rd owner and would not honor warranty. Car had rear main oil leak. My mechanic said repair was minimum $900. Dealer offered to fix oil leak but work area was far from clean and mechanics were not ASE certified. (Note. I refused repair due to condition of repair area and less than forth right appearance of of warranty and deal, I don't trust this guy to repair the car properly) Dealer provided 90 day warranty and my mechanic said it was worthless. Warranty only covered internal hard part failure NOT KNOWN at time of purchase. IT'S a SEAL that needs to be replaced which is not covered. Dealer had to know car had leak, looked under car 1 day after purchase and found oil pan and bottom of engine so clean you could eat off of it AND an oil leak that left 8 inch spot on driveway. Just be very careful to inspect what ever you are buying from this guy look under the car after you return from test drive for leaks or issues. Strongly suggest you get car inspected prior to buying from this guy. read more
