Seriously, Imma say it a couple times in my review: book with Juju or Christina Beall. I first came here to redeem a Groupon when I moved from Los Angeles and I've been coming back ever since! I was lucky enough to have Juju (@hair_jujuyi on Instagram) as my hairstylist and I plan to go to her as long as she's at Capelli Salon. Not only is she the absolute SWEETEST human I've ever met, but she was also able to take out my e-girl green bangs and fully transform my hair into a shaggy wolf cut with curtain bangs while stripping all the green and getting me back to my dark brown color. I'm sad to see these negative reviews b/c what I loved about this place is that my stylist was 100% dedicated to me, and me only. she wasn't switching around or bouncing between customers. I straight up saying loved this place so much, I ended up recommending it to my mom, who went last week and raved about her experience. As a woman of color whose second language is English, my mom tends to shy away from places that she's not comfortable with, but she absolutely felt at home here. I visited after a friend recommended this salon to me. She recommended that I see a certain stylist at Capelli for my coloring/cut needs. I first called, but my call went straight to voicemail, so decided to text and ask for an appointment on a certain date. They texted back to ask for my name, but I didn't hear back after I replied. So I called and made an appointment with the stylist that my friend recommended - even spoke with him directly on the phone and also confirmed with him a week before my appointment. A day before my appointment, I got a call from the salon asking if I could push back my appointment by an hour from noon to 1pm. I agreed. Everything was good and well. A little bit of a hassle with booking, but I'm assuming they were busy, so it's okay. I arrived at the salon 15 mins prior to my appointment. However, when I checked in, I was told that the stylist had stopped working there recently. I was surprised, but they had someone available who could still work on my hair, so I was okay with it. I did wait about 15 minutes after my appointment time until my stylist was ready, but that's alright, as she was busy working on a client until then. My appointment was actually amazing. I went in for coloring, but after discussing with my stylist, we decided it would be best to just do a cut, as my hair would be hard to color correct. I told her what style I wanted - layers, v-shape in the back, face-framing in the front. She did exactly that. She even checked with me mid-way to make sure that the length was okay, and then she went ahead and kept working to make my cut exactly the way I wanted. Amber is amazing - even though my original plan didn't work out, Capelli made the magic happen in Amber's hands. She is very pleasant to work with, super soothing (I think her voice is calming!!!), and she allowed me to use my Groupon towards my appointment. Beautiful salon, excellent talent - very pleased! I came in for my first visit to the salon to get a cut and balayage. I was not disappointed I was made to feel very comfortable and given a calm experience where I felt heard and understood. I trusted Ally with the process and she did an amazing job with my hair. I had been somewhat let down by showing pictures to stylist only to walk out with something different but Ally saw my pictures and listened and understood. If I could give negative stars I would. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this salon. The girl completely ruined my hair. I spent 6.5 hours there and my hair came out looking like I had cheetah spots. The first red flag was that I was the only client in there all day. I know this because my appointment was at 11am and I didn't leave until 5:30pm. Never in my life has a hair cut and color taken that long. I asked for an icy blonde balayage and what I got was a brassy all over gold dye job. I had spots all over my hair from where the color didn't take. And on top of it all, the hair cut was uneven. One side was almost two inches longer than the other. This was such a horrifying experience that I had to go elsewhere to have it fixed because they refused to give me a refund! I was in tears when I got home and even told the salon this and they didn't care. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Wish I would have. read more

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I went in asking for a solid color dye to match my natural medium brunette colored hair (first picture) that was growing out and walked out with jet black hair (second color). I was told dying from the root "wouldn't darken my hair at all". Not to mention it took nearly 3 hours for something I did not ask for. Being new to Dallas, I selected this salon due to its raving reviews, but my stylist had no idea how to match a basic brunette color. I will never be returning and hate looking in the mirror thanks to this salons major mess up. read more

What an amazing experience! It all started with the warm welcome when scheduling the phone call. And then when I walked into their new location in the Design District area I was blown away by the beautiful, modern, and very chic salon. Then I got to meet my new master stylist and Ricardo was a dream! I had to move to Fort Worth for a Job opportunity and I truly do not know the area whatsoever nor did I know a GOOD place to go. I had only lived in Fort Worth for less than a week when I found the salon through reviews online and I am so glad I found this gem! And Ricardo is incredible!!! He is truly a magician with everything hair! An absolute true artist. From the incredible color he gave me when I asked for a complicated balayage with 3 colors and melted roots and then perfectly toned blonde balayage placement around the face working it into the most beautiful blended ombré affect. I know I'm rambling but I haven't had an experience like thus where I was truly wowed from start to finish in such a very long time. Oh... and I haven't even mentioned the haircut yet. I had just gone to get my hair trimmed a few weeks prior to a different salon and I have explained I just wanted as little as possible taken off the length (because I am trying to grow it out from short, stacked inverted bob, however to still give it shape and body while leaving the original frame of an A-line inverted bob I just wanted a longer version since I have been growing my hair out. I was very disappointed with the cut I got when it left me with a very flat, one length basic cut that was impossible to style. But in ONE visit with Ricardo he knew exactly what I wanted and brought the hair back life. I am absolutely in love with my hair and have gotten so very many compliments. If you are trying to find a great salon, a great salon experience, and an amazing stylist/colorist than Capelli Salon and Ricardo are definitely the best place to go!!! They have a beautiful new location in the design district I provided pictures below of my hair before and after Ricardo's magic! What's crazy and disappointing is I had just gone to another salon not even two weeks prior asking for the same exact cut and balayage color and ombré affect with an inspiration picture from Pinterest and I walked out of that salon so disappointed and absolutely shocked at how I got essentially a clear glaze places on my hair that didn't even cover my grey and an extremely flat and shapeless haircut. I came into Capelli Salon and showed Ricardo the same exact picture and see if she is exactly what I was looking and asking for. PS. I was a first timer at this salon and found out about it via the Groupon deal and was pleasantly surprised! Such a cute and clean salon with no rush and no problems at all. Ju was absolutely amazing and worked so well with my thick black hair. I already had some subtle balayage that I wanted to bring out more towards the front and she did exactly that and matched my other color nearly perfectly with the face framing balayage! Best hair color treatment I ever had- very professional and very comfortable and beautiful inside - wonderful hair service.

Riccardo was recommended to me by my friend and I was instantly able to book an appointment with Ricardo. Even though I came in 30 minutes late, I was met by Riccardo and seated right away. He asked me what I wanted to do with my hair so I showed him a reference picture I found on Pinterest and. Immediately after a glance, he started to analyze my hair and telling me how the process will go. He also told me I had 4 different shades of brown/black in my hair due to box dye so I needed color correction as well. He was so knowledgeable (been a hair stylist for 32 years!!) and I learned so much about my hair. P.S I have never gotten my hair dyed at a salon nor have ever bleached it, so this was a first time experience for me. Riccardo spent 2 hours diligently and patiently sectioning and foiling my hair for bleach. He knew exactly what he wanted the result to look like. After the bleach was washed off, my hair was then toned with 3-4 different toners to get this result. Best hair wash and massage of my life. I am honestly so blown away by how my hair turned out. This was the best first experience I could ever imagine and I'll definitely be back. The total process took 5 hours and it was the best 5 hours ever. RICCARDO IS AMAZING!! read more

I had a Groupon for $30 for a deep condition and blowout. I have naturally thick hair so I decided to give the stylist a break by washing my hair at home before coming in. The stylist had no idea what she was doing. She had an appointment right after mine so she was constantly checking her watch and doing a terrible job. I asked for smooth slick hair with curls. She curled my hair and kept putting her hands through it which made the curls disappear. My roots were still wet. To top things off, I showed them my expired Groupon and explained to them that I am allowed to use it for store credit. They denied it, I've had a long day so I paid $50 for nothing (literally a blowout on prewashed hair). Here is the Groupon policy. I also spoke to Groupon and they confirmed that is the policy. It's partially my fault because I didn't call ahead and let them know o have thick hair. But it was obvious the stylist had no idea what she was doing. If you have thick hair, I don't recommend this place. However if you have thin straight hair this might be the place for you. read more

Went in to redeem a Groupon and upgraded to full balayage. Ricardo did my hair and barely said anything to me. No conversations. Not even a "how are you". I asked for a caramel colored balayage and he completely bleached my hair and went platinum blonde. It was not what I wanted at all. He also started my balayage at the root. This is not my first balayage so I know that balayage does NOT start at the root. I have terrible streaks in my hair that start at the root and are reminiscent of tiger stripes. Super unhappy with my experience and I will be telling everyone to avoid this location and Ricardo if they actually want the stylist to listen to them and do a good job. read more

I didn't think I would be able to get it back to how it looked before I killed it with box dye and bleach but it's getting there.
