I called the salon and asked if I could see someone to do a full balayage and they put me in the next day! Reception desk was super friendly. The interior design in this salon is very modern and clean. My colorist, Jessi, did a great job getting all the brass out of my hair. I wanted something more brunette instead of blonde. Something subtle and easy to maintain. The results were amazing!! The only reason why I took off one star is that they charge extra for someone to blow dry your hair after they shampoo it. So after my hair was washed, I went to the "self blow dry" section. It felt a little weird blow drying my own hair at a salon... Overall a great salon to go to. Scheduled a consult for an American Wave, then had the followup a few days later. I have fine hair, straight - no product, no color. After the WAVE -- Half my hair has curls (the right half before you ask) the left half is straight as it frames my face. It looks a mess. I don't know if she didn't put any formula on the left side, or forgot to neutralize it.. I knew something wasn't right when she kept rinsing that side of my head over and over... I tried talking to her -- making small talk about the process, and what products she recommended for care of the American Wave. She stumbled through telling me the process, and told me I didn't need any special shampoo to maintain it. Note***my hair was lightly diffused, NOT dry, NOT styled and I left with a wet head as she said styling hair wasn't her forte. all she could say is .. well the back looks ok. .. as she was scrunching my hair as I left. It was clear she wasn't doing any more and basically checked me out so I left for a dinner engagement. My friends told me to call them when I was done and we would meet somewhere. I kept hoping I was being judgmental and I was not. I had a dinner engagement, Uneven curls even the waitress at the restaurant asked if I was in a hurry fixing myself. Wouldn't go back., wouldn't trust them to correct it. I expect a higher level of service than I received in that experience. I'll fly to Boston and or NYC and get someone skilled to correct it. read more

I booked with Mattie to get my hair colored and was a little nervous that it was going to come out yellow since my natural hair is a darker brown. But boy was I taken by surprise when she was able to not only lift my hair to blonde but to get it almost platinum as well as keep it moisturize. I'm so happy with my hair! I hate to write a negative review, but because of the negligence or lack of training by Chris Swann I have now spent thousands of dollars repairing my hair. I typically get highlights on my dark blonde hair every 5-6 months. I came in May 2018 for a balayage highlight. Now, I will mention that Chris has done my hair before with foils and it came out beautiful. However, the balayage highlight he did on me was a disaster. Right after he was done I thought I liked the color, but the more I looked at it at home the more I realized how much of a disaster it was. The sides of my head were WHITE and the back was a light blonde. Underneath my hair was a darker blonde. The color was just weird. That's not the worst part...he totally FRIED my hair too. When I came in my hair was relatively healthy. I hadn't used hot tools on my hair in about a year and was working on just letting it grow. My hair lost its natural smooth texture and wave. Also, my ends were snapping off like crazy due to being over processed. I could hear my hair sizzling when I was sitting under the dryer too. I assume that's not normal. I literally cried for two days straight. I called the next day and Chris saw me and did a treatment on my hair and suggested I go get it cut. The treatment made my hair feel soft again until I washed it. t I was left with hair that was stiff and felt like hay. It's now been about three weeks and since then I've bought expensive shampoo, conditioner, and various treatments. I got my color fixed at another salon and got a bond building treatment. I've had to cut several inches off my hair and am now paying a small fortune to get extensions. What really upsets me is I've had good experiences here before, but not this last time. Also, when I called again to try and come back in to have my hair color fixed and get another treatment my phone call was never returned. I called twice and no one bothered to call me back. I decided to cut my losses and just go somewhere else. I've found another salon who has worked literal miracles on my hair. This has literally been such a traumatic experience for me. The cost of my partial doubled when I added a glaze. My hair has grown on me since I got it colored, and although Charleigh was super nice, I'm not 100% sold on Form just yet. This color looks fabulous, but my appointment was definitely double booked (which drives me CRAZY). My hair processes quickly and I've had some bad experiences, so I like my colorist to be able to check on my highlights as they go, which she wasn't able to do because she was so busy. I also had her assistant do the glaze, which was a little undesirable since she didn't seem to have a good grasp on it. The blow dry bar where you're able to dry your own hair is nice, but I hate that you walk out of a salon after paying $140 and look like a wet dog unless you dry your own hair... So back and forth on this. May be back, may not. In Charleigh's defense her first client was really late, so her schedule was pretty crammed because of that. read more

I came in with the idea of going back to being brunette to stay natural for the wedding (my hair was platinum blonde and of course I processed it like a million times!). Emily asked me many questions, more of which were about myself, not just about hair (strange?!?!). I thought she was just trying to connect with her client but nope! She wanted to know me and what I really wanted to achieve for my hair. I love it when my hairstylist really listens to me, and hears what I want. But I also love it when she will be completely honest and tell me when she thinks what I want won't work for my hair type or face shape. Apparently Emily could read between the lines and yes I did not want to be a brunette! I love being blond... My hair turned out to exceed expectations, and I love everything about it! We decided to keep my hair blond, but make it more natural and not too contrasting.
