DO NOT see Leighanne. WORST experience of my entire life. I've never dealt with someone so unprofessional with such a bad attitude in my life. I own my own business and have my own clients also and I would never treat my clients the way she treated me. Pictures attached below. Picture of how I wanted it, what it actually looks like, and her bad attitude. She refused to fix it and is refusing to refund my money so I'm taking legal action. The rudest hair stylist I've ever dealt with. Extremely unprofessional. Learn how to communicate. Worst color of my life. Ashtyn did my cut she is amazing but Leighanne has a terrible attitude. read more

Form Salon - Rich Cinnamon color for fall by my favorite balayage artist Emily Naaman Thank you!!! Xxoo - Hair Salons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I called the salon and asked if I could see someone to do a full balayage and they put me in the next day! Reception desk was super friendly. The interior design in this salon is very modern and clean. My colorist, Jessi, did a great job getting all the brass out of my hair. I wanted something more brunette instead of blonde. Something subtle and easy to maintain. The results were amazing!! The only reason why I took off one star is that they charge extra for someone to blow dry your hair after they shampoo it. So after my hair was washed, I went to the "self blow dry" section. It felt a little weird blow drying my own hair at a salon... Overall a great salon to go to. I would recommend Jessi to be your colorist! She's very talented and knowledgeable. Additionally, she continually takes balayage classes to learn current trends and techniques. read more

Form Salon - Left is the before, right is the after! Bye bye brass - Hair Salons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I thankfully walked into this salon after a horrible experience with a previous colorist around the time of my wedding. (It turned out ok for the big day though!) since January 2016 I have been seeing Emily and she has helped me transition from having damaged hair to now having a healthy and natural look. Among the many months I have been her client she has helped guide my color choices with the health of my hair always as first priority! Beyond her skills as a colorist, she is always professional and overall an amazing person. I always look forward to being in her chair because it is time for relaxation and catching up with one awesome gal. Thank you Emily for being down right AMAZING and always keeping me looking fabulous. read more

Jessiy is amazing!!!! She took me from black to blonde. Attached are photos of the several visits it took to get there. A few are from her actual Instagram account, check out her other work @jessiyetter. Blending skills are so great, that even when my roots grow out it still looks good. It took me a while to find her, but now that I have, I won't use anyone else! read more

Scheduled a consult for an American Wave, then had the followup a few days later. I have fine hair, straight - no product, no color. After the WAVE -- Half my hair has curls (the right half before you ask) the left half is straight as it frames my face. It looks a mess. I don't know if she didn't put any formula on the left side, or forgot to neutralize it.. I knew something wasn't right when she kept rinsing that side of my head over and over... I tried talking to her -- making small talk about the process, and what products she recommended for care of the American Wave. She stumbled through telling me the process, and told me I didn't need any special shampoo to maintain it. Note***my hair was lightly diffused, NOT dry, NOT styled and I left with a wet head as she said styling hair wasn't her forte. all she could say is .. well the back looks ok. .. as she was scrunching my hair as I left. It was clear she wasn't doing any more and basically checked me out so I left for a dinner engagement. My friends told me to call them when I was done and we would meet somewhere. I kept hoping I was being judgmental and I was not. I had a dinner engagement, Uneven curls even the waitress at the restaurant asked if I was in a hurry fixing myself. Wouldn't go back., wouldn't trust them to correct it. I expect a higher level of service than I received in that experience. I'll fly to Boston and or NYC and get someone skilled to correct it. read more

Completely in love!!! Not only did I get the color I wanted the customer service was amazing. I booked with Mattie to get my hair colored and was a little nervous that it was going to come out yellow since my natural hair is a darker brown. But boy was I taken by surprise when she was able to not only lift my hair to blonde but to get it almost platinum as well as keep it moisturize. I'm so happy with my hair! I will most definitely return! read more

Leighanne is the best balayage specialist in Dallas hands down. I have black hair and was so scared to color. Absolute perfection and have never looked back. Jessiy has been doing my hair for about 7 years now and has been nothing short of amazing. The first time I saw her was in high school after I box dyed my naturally blonde hair BLACK at home. She was so informative and upfront about the fact that getting back to blonde in 1 session was unrealistic and that she truly cared about the health of my hair. About 2 sessions later, my hair was back to the color that I wanted and didn't look/feel damaged at all. Jessiy is an all around amazing person and I look forward to seeing her each time! read more

The salon is sleek and clean. I also love that the salon provides an educational program. If you are an assistant for a year and training, they give you a chair in the salon after a year. A really cool program! I found the salon through Leighanne's instagram, @balayagedallas...go check it out to see more of her work. When I went to Leighanne before my wedding in 2016, I had not had my hair colored since high school. I was nervous! I decided to go with balayage for a natural look that would grow out well. She makes my hair look so natural. Her work is AMAZING. She is also really easy to talk to, which I appreciate. I highly recommend going to Leighanne. read more

The cost of my partial doubled when I added a glaze. My hair has grown on me since I got it colored, and although Charleigh was super nice, I'm not 100% sold on Form just yet. This color looks fabulous, but my appointment was definitely double booked (which drives me CRAZY). My hair processes quickly and I've had some bad experiences, so I like my colorist to be able to check on my highlights as they go, which she wasn't able to do because she was so busy. I also had her assistant do the glaze, which was a little undesirable since she didn't seem to have a good grasp on it. The blow dry bar where you're able to dry your own hair is nice, but I hate that you walk out of a salon after paying $140 and look like a wet dog unless you dry your own hair... So back and forth on this. May be back, may not. In Charleigh's defense her first client was really late, so her schedule was pretty crammed because of that. read more

I am so glad I found Emily! I have my hair done pretty much at every top notch hair salons in the country because I'm obsessed with my hair. My family are moving a lot and wherever I go I have to make sure there's someone I can trust with my hair. Dallas is not only our next stop but it's where my wedding takes place, and needless to say, finding a good hairdresser is super important!!! I had done my research weeks before deciding to come see Emily. She's so talented and makes you feel comfortable, not only because she's going to make your hair look fabulous when you leave but she knows what's best for you! Emily is a pretty straightforward person and I love that from her because I want to know what would work for my type of hair/cut/texture, and not just following the trend. I came in with the idea of going back to being brunette to stay natural for the wedding (my hair was platinum blonde and of course I processed it like a million times!). Emily asked me many questions, more of which were about myself, not just about hair (strange?!?!). I thought she was just trying to connect with her client but nope! She wanted to know me and what I really wanted to achieve for my hair. I love it when my hairstylist really listens to me, and hears what I want. But I also love it when she will be completely honest and tell me when she thinks what I want won't work for my hair type or face shape. Apparently Emily could read between the lines and yes I did not want to be a brunette! I love being blond... My hair turned out to exceed expectations, and I love everything about it! We decided to keep my hair blond, but make it more natural and not too contrasting. Not only are Emily's balayage techniques wonderful, but she's also aware of different trends in the industry and not stuck in a box BUT will talk you through your hair color choice and each step in the process to achieve that. I am confident to say that I have found my hairstylist! read more

Form Salon - Emily did some magic and my blonde hair turns out super ashy and dimensional, exactly what I want! - Hair Salons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I drove all the way from OKC to see Emily and would do it again and again!!!!!! I am a brunette and was the needy "wanting to be blonde" customer knowing that it would be difficult but saw Emily's talents and crossed my fingers. Needless to say I LOVE MY HAIR. Emily informed me of what I knew already and that was that we would have to take our time in the lightening process so that my hair wouldn't fry, I appreciated her honesty because you don't receive it often from hair dressers... My hair is long and damaged already and all I have heard is that it looks so healthy! She took such good care of it following with a gorgeous toner so that everything flows. Emily is no joke and reasonably priced for this kind of dedication and love that is put forward toward your hair. She was worth my drive and definitely worth a try if you are looking for someone to be your new hair dresser. Her talents with balayaging are crazy but following her instagram I have seen all of her talents and you should definitely look her up @colorbyemily Not to mention, the salon is gorgeous and everyone was so friendly. This is my new salon even being 3 hours away. read more

I moved here 7 months ago from Austin, Tx. I had a friend who saw ashtyn and wanted a good haircut with great results to revive my curls. Her Instagram is ashlovesyourhair and she works on all types of hair. She's cut another friend of mines hair as well as my niece. She patient, gives advice, and is super easy to talk to. The environment and vibe in this studio is so great and I'm never disappointed. The prices are a bit high but with the great customer service you get from the ladies who check you in to your actual stylist, everyone always leaves happy which is comforting that you're in good hands always. This is my third cut from ashtyn and she has yet to fail me. I let her do her thing with a little input of mine and she does great every single time. read more

I hate to write a negative review, but because of the negligence or lack of training by Chris Swann I have now spent thousands of dollars repairing my hair. I typically get highlights on my dark blonde hair every 5-6 months. I came in May 2018 for a balayage highlight. Now, I will mention that Chris has done my hair before with foils and it came out beautiful. However, the balayage highlight he did on me was a disaster. Right after he was done I thought I liked the color, but the more I looked at it at home the more I realized how much of a disaster it was. The sides of my head were WHITE and the back was a light blonde. Underneath my hair was a darker blonde. The color was just weird. That's not the worst part...he totally FRIED my hair too. When I came in my hair was relatively healthy. I hadn't used hot tools on my hair in about a year and was working on just letting it grow. My hair lost its natural smooth texture and wave. Also, my ends were snapping off like crazy due to being over processed. I could hear my hair sizzling when I was sitting under the dryer too. I assume that's not normal. I literally cried for two days straight. I called the next day and Chris saw me and did a treatment on my hair and suggested I go get it cut. The treatment made my hair feel soft again until I washed it. t I was left with hair that was stiff and felt like hay. It's now been about three weeks and since then I've bought expensive shampoo, conditioner, and various treatments. I got my color fixed at another salon and got a bond building treatment. I've had to cut several inches off my hair and am now paying a small fortune to get extensions. What really upsets me is I've had good experiences here before, but not this last time. Also, when I called again to try and come back in to have my hair color fixed and get another treatment my phone call was never returned. I called twice and no one bothered to call me back. I decided to cut my losses and just go somewhere else. I've found another salon who has worked literal miracles on my hair. This has literally been such a traumatic experience for me. I hope that no one else has to go through this. read more

After moving from New York to Austin in 2015 and leaving my colorist of 8 years behind, I struggled to find someone who had the experience and knowledge to give me the look I was going for while not compromising the health of my hair. I've been blonde, brunette and everything in between so health was a big deal and my old colorist always made this a priority. After several horrible experiences in Austin (at the TOP salons, by the way!) I decided to stop by Form while on a business trip in Dallas. I went straight to Leighanne hoping for the best after a coworker recommended her and the salon. Over a year later, I can say she does a fantastic job! She is a skilled, experienced colorist and works efficiently every time. Most importantly, I trust her with my hair. I am currently a brunette but have seen her do some amazing blonde balayage on others! If I swing over to the light side again, she is THE person in town for that! read more

I am a picky client. I'll just come right out and say it. But I was in desperate need of some highlights after letting a bad dye job fade. I randomly selected FORM salon because it was close to my apartment, and I am so glad I did. I received the best haircolor I've ever received! I made an appointment with Ashlee Rose, who gave me the most natural and beautiful balayage highlights. Then Kristen perfectly trimmed my hair, put in some chic layers, and really framed my face! Overall, I am 100% pleased and would recommend this salon and Ashlee Rose to anyone. read more

I did some research and decided on Emily to do my first ever color treatment on my hair. I decided on a low maintenance balayage. It was great experience from start to finish. From the consult in the beginning to the final product, it was a very smooth process. You can tell Emily loves her job and is very good at it. Contacting her via instagram and asking questions was very easy too. I absolutely love my hair and can't wait to come back. Parking was easy and location is great. My only gripe is that she gets so booked that you have to be on top of it when booking. Thanks for the new look Emily! read more

Leighanne has been doing my blonde balayage for 3+ years. She is the BEST hair colorist I have ever had! Every time is perfection! Today I asked for something different than what I usually do in preparation for my wedding. Leighanne set aside a special appointment at the end of the day so she could spend as much time as she needed to give me exactly what I wanted. She stayed with me way past when the salon closed to make sure it was perfect. AND IT WAS! Not only is she great at what she does but she makes you feel like an old friend. This place is a dream come true! Imagine a beautiful salon full of extremely talented sweet young ladies that's actually fun to go to! I moved to Dallas about two years ago and couldn't find anyone I could trust with my color/cut (had some horrible experiences with other salons in town, one of the worst was Hair by Charlie in Design District!) I found this place on Yelp and immediately checked out their IG account (which I should say is absolutely impressive!) Every time I called they had an appointment available for me for same day or the next day. I had my color done with the sweet Jessie Etter which turned out amazing! I was hesitant to try balayage again but Jessie's work made me fall in love with it! It's been a few weeks since then and I came back today to get a haircut with the lovely Nikki Britton, which made my color look even better and my entire time with her was an absolute delight! I'm so happy I found this place and would recommend anyone to go there! Great prices too, comparing to other salons in Dallas (with less than talented colorists...). I should mention Emily too which was extremely accommodating before I came in and texted me back and forth with any question/ concern I had on my mind! Overall this place deserves more than five stars! read more

Fantastic salon, Leighanne is a hair color Goddess. I have been going to Form for about 2 years now and have loved my experience every single time I walk in the door. Leighanne has been doing my hair color since I moved to Dallas and she always goes above and beyond to make sure it's JUST how I want it. The other night, she stayed an extra 2 hours to tweak the color because my hair was not taking to the toner -- for free. She was overly kind and really wanted to make it right. She's a fantastic colorist and I tell all my family and friends to go to her if they ever want to color their hair. Great service, great people all around. If you live in Dallas, go to Form Salon.
