I recently moved to Dallas and was so excited to have discovered Form Salon and even more excited to finally get my hair colored and cut. My experience with Form Salon at first was good. I saw a colorist with about 2 years experience. I requested full head of balayage highlights and root color to cover up my greys. My hair was previously dyed by another hair salon back home to match my natural hair color which is a dark brown, which was dyed back in March. My first session at Form was in August. When I spoke to the colorist she mentioned it will take multiple sessions to lighten my hair, which I was OK with. I totally understand the hair coloring process and was OK with investing the money to get to my goal. First session the highlights were a little bit lighter then my original hair color, which again I was OK with due to understanding the bleaching process of dark hair. Now onto my second session....came in 9 weeks after my first session and had the same process done. BUT this time it was a total different experience. I showed the colorist again a photo to remind her of color I want to get too. Same process as the first time, root color and bleach for the highlights. I was told to wait 15 minutes before going underneath the heat machine. Then the stylist left and came back 15 minutes later. Then was put under the heat, stylist left and came back 15 minutes later. Through out this process the stylist did not look at my hair to see how it processed. I was taken to wash the color out and something didn't seem OK because the colorist kept on looking at my hair. I tried to not be paranoid until I went to get my hair cut by Ashton (who is fabulous and cut my hair amazing). While Ashton was brushing my hair I saw hair fall out, but again didn't want to be paranoid. At this time my cousin asked me why I have white streaks in the back of my hair which did not blend or look like the rest of the highlist. Then Ashton mentioned to be careful with applying heat at the back of my hair. Long story short Ashton had to cut certain sections of my hair due to being burnt by the bleach. When Ashton finished styling my hair she asked the colorist to take a look at the color and she didn't even take a look. Basically was fake and said "it looks nice" and didn't even come towards me to see the color. Then I knew something was wrong. When Ashton walked my cousin and I down to the reception area my cousin thanked Ashton for cutting out the really bad areas and she said You're Welcome I noticed the difference of the color. I write this review a month after my second session as I wasn't sure if I should mention anything because I was so disappointed in my experience. Plus the colorist didn't even acknowledge she screwed up my hair!!!!! This is why I am writing the review! Ladies & Gents always make sure the stylist/colorist always looks at your hair during a bleaching process. M ake sure you do your research and are comfortable with the colorist experience. Had my hair colored three weeks ago with Jessiy. I booked with her to have my hair fixed from a previous stylist who wasn't able to nail the ashy cool blonde tone I wanted. Jessiy did not deliver. My hair is still too warm (orangey yellow) after she "fixed" it. She did not do as I asked when I came in a second time and actually made it worst. The Bayalage does not blend from where it starts at the top of my head, appearing as a straight line in contrast to my natural roofs. She has not acknowledged my IG message after reading it, completely contradicting all her talk during our appointment about how important it is that her customers are happy. To top it off, I called to let the manger, Kim, know what happened and she was no help. She mentioned she would talk to Jessiy about what could be done and still hasn't contacted me until this day. But, instead of booking me for another day she made a phone call to Orlena who was so generous and agreed to come in later that day. Orlena did a double process platinum blonde on me and it turned out amazing! She was so sweet and willing to do whatever it took to get me what I wanted. I went switched salons based on recommendation, as I haven't colored my hair in probably 11 years. Keep in mind, this review is strictly for the colorist - Leighanne (co-owner.. what a joke). My haircut with Bethany was amazing, so if you need just a cut, I feel great about recommending her... secretly hoping she moves salons so I won't ever have to spend a dime at Form again. Back to the colorist. BE WARNED-- your color does not include blow dry, style, or even a glance from your colorist Leighanne. Number one issue right off the bat was the fact that Form always wants ass in all seats. What does this mean? That they double book your appointment slots. So you'll be seated in your salon chair that you reserved, up until the point that your color has been applied and you're moved to the blow dryer. Then all your belongings are removed and put on this waiting couch with everyone else's. And then she will forget about you because her new client has taken your place. This will be the last time you will see Leighanne, as she never checks her Work and just tosses you to an assistant. She doesn't do any of the chemical process of toning or anything... that's her assistant. Also... you'll be brought to a "blow dry station" where YOU have to blow dry your own hair. Are you kidding me? I've gone to salons for a lot less that do a great job and style your hair. So next part is great, my hair is orange.. no like legit orange. And the assistant knows it.. I ask If leighanne (the person I'm paying for) can fix it. So leighanne leaves her poor other client with half a head of bleach for 15+ mins while she looks at my hair (FINALLY). This was the first time she ever even evaluated her Work. And If I was that other lady, I'd be Pissed! Lastly, she told me to text her if I noticed it was still brassy. Well, I did, two days later. And guess what... no response. I ended up going to a colorist who used to work at Form to fix it-- for free. read more

Emily was the hairdresser that worked on my hair. I found her on a social media platform, and her resume looked pretty good so I thought I would book an appointment with her. She had and has a very busy schedule so she hardly listened to what I wanted. I wanted to lighter and she said she couldn't get me lighter as this would damaged it my hair too much, so she suggested low lights instead. She added only a few pieces of lowlights and my hair looked the SAME as I first walked in the salon. The most shocking part was the fact that she charged me $240 for just low lights!!!!??? I couldn't believe it. The salon had a strange atmosphere too, it seemed like they favorited certain customers over others, not because they were their old clients or anything, but because of socioeconomic status, very superficial and materialistic... soon after I discovered another salon and they were able to immediately get me to the hair color I desired, which just proved even more that Emily either didn't have the experience to risk getting me lighter, or so she can have me coming back constantly to make more money, or because she was so busy that she didn't care about new clients. I've been to a lot of high end salons, this was far the worst experience. Don't get fooled by the social media photos!!!!!!! read more

Leighanne is my first choice when it comes to color and the results are amazing. Even after it grows out, it still looks gorgeous and natural, especially around my face. If I see her a few times a year, I can easily spend a grand just on coloring alone, but it's worth it. She doesn't do haircuts but my friend has recommended someone else for that. Emily did my color. She is so busy with a packed schedule that she doesn't take the time to understand your hair. It always feels very rushed. She doesn't do what you want but instead does what she has time for. Due to time constraints she put a few highlights in the front along with a tint and called it done. Several people have asked me why I have a patch of bleach blonde in the front and brown every where else.
