I've come here twice and was met by attentive and friendly staff. There is a large assortment of jams, cheeses, cured meats, wines and more. Prices vary which provides options for anyone who may find them. Plastic utensils are also provided if you inform them you plan on eating there! Everything is well organized and clean so I will certainly come again.

Capella is a wonderful cheese shop in a warehouse area of outer Atlanta. As soon as you walk in there are cases and cases of cheese from around the world, and many I had never seen or heard of before. There are soft cheeses from cow and goat milks, Cheddars, Goudas, Bleu Cheeses, you name it. We got a smoky Bleu, a cheese with pressed dried grapes, a Robiola tri-milk cheese, and a few others. We also picked up Marcona almonds, pate, a baguette, olives, and onion jam to create our own charcuterie board at home. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back. It looks like they also offer cheese classes so we might try one of those as well.

Found this place when I was getting coffee at East pole. The space in between the two is a great place for co-working or studying. During my second visit to East pole, I decided to get lunch and a snack here while I was working there all day. ***Location: Around Midtown. There is plenty of parking in the lot beside the cafe. You walk into a large coworking space and there is East Pole on the right and Capella on the left. ***Staff: Nice and friendly! Just had a quick interaction at the register but they were very nice! ***Experience: I ate in the coworking space next to the shop, which is where you would eat if you came here. It is really a shop and not a restaurant but they sell packaged sandwiches and salads in addition to their wide selection of meats and cheeses. I am a vegetarian so I can't tell you much about the meat, but they seem to have some good things. For the cheese, it all looks amazing. I didn't need to pick up any this time, and as I was sitting inside then running errands, it wouldn't be the best time, but if I need any specialty cheese, I will definitely have to check them out. I usually prefer French cheeses and these are Italian but still look amazing! My roommate is from Milan, so I will have to bring her to try them out next time! I didn't look around much, since I was just grabbing lunch and getting back to work, but they seemed to have lots of specialty things like little seasonings and jam type things as well. ***Food: I got a tomato and mozzarella sandwich for lunch, which was big and definitely filling but a little expensive. For a specialty shop it is of course understandable and you can taste the quality of the ingredients, but it isn't something I would get every day. I felt like I would rather have a half sandwich and maybe a half salad rather than the whole sandwich though, because by the end it felt like a lot of bread and cheese. I don't know if they would consider packaging half sizes, but I would consider eating there more if they had a salad + sandwich combo instead of a full sandwich! The cookie was from Alon's Bakery and it was delicious! I also felt the pricing for that was good. For a gourmet cookie 2.50 is not bad at all! I also got a Coke because I love when it's in a glass bottle. They opened it at the register for me as well :) ***Prices: Sandwiches 9-10$ depending on the sandwich Cookie 2.50$ Coke - can't remember but I believe just a couple of dollars. ***Improvements: I would love to see a half sandwich half salad combo option for lunch. Either half versions of each or some kind of plate made with half of each to have some variety. But other than that, I think you can definitely taste the fresh mozzarella and I will have to be back to shop in the store a bit more next time!

What a wonderful little cheese shop that also sources a selection of local Georgian treats…read more There was an upcoming virtual event that I couldn't make but had called to get more details. I spoke with Mary on the phone. She was very friendly, high energy and helpful. She happened to note the shop hours for the next day during our conversation. Since I had some free time, I decided to frive out there the next day. I had the pleasant experience of meeting Mary (and her curious pooch) in person and she was every bit of the fantastic person that I spoke to the day before. I was the only customer at the time so I was privy to a brief personal tour. I received information on the various products, who made them, where they were made, etc. There was a lot of good choices in the small shop. After much debate I decide on the following items: 1. Goodson Cinnamon Sugar Pecans- delicious light pecan crunch packing a cinnamon punch. My cousin and I devoured this treat in minutes. I should have bought at least 2 bags. 2. Goodson Dark Chocolate Covered Pecans - again with the light pecan crunch. I love dark chocolate - this chocolate was not bitter or too sweet. I really enjoyed these. I wish that I had bought many bags. 3. Spottes Trotter's Spanish Salchichon - I rarely eat salami so this was a risky choice for me. It was surprisingly flavorful and not salty. Again, I opened these to share with family just in case I couldn't eat them - they were devoured. I know that they were bought with the idea of cheese pairing but I put mine in the midst of a cream cheese bagel and loved it. My only regret is probably not buying more. 4. Beehive Cheese Barely Buzzed - This cheese is rubbed with expresso and lavender. I was intrigued. It was recommended for coffee lovers and pairing with berries. Who can resist trying an award winning cheese? At my first coffee opportunity, I sampled a few slices. Delicious. Reminds me of aged cheddar with a subtle flavor...I don't know it came across as basil. Lol. I can't wait to try it with fresh berries. The final selections haven't been tried as of this writing: 5. Thomasville Tomme Raw Cows Milk Cheese. 6. Kenny's Farmhouse Gouda I've always enjoy a good raw milk cheese and a good gouda. I'm looking forward to making something delicious with them. Thus far, my only regret is buying only 1 of each of my choices. I do hope to visit again post covid to enjoy a full in person experience at a tasting/hosted event.

A real delight to work with her -- and with a name like Cheese & Mary, you have to appreciate her wit and humor. My first time trying a charcuterie here was getting in on a Valentine's special that we enjoyed as part of our anniversary celebration. It was artfully arranged and contained a mixture of sweet, savory, and hearty bites. Some of the things on the plate, I thought, this is an odd pairing, but when I ate it together, it was really good! She knows what she's doing. I'm a little sad the shop is going to close because it's really charming, but I'm okay with it since she's going to be running a virtual store and taking orders still.

Absolutely in awe of this beautiful cafe and bakery…read more I've visited the smaller Saint Germain but visiting this location at the Interlock was truly an experience. Before heading into Puttshack to celebrate my friends birthday I decided to take a peek inside of Saint Germain and pickup a treat or two. I've previously had pastries and coffees from Saint Germain and didn't have anything in mind, just greed lol. Let me say, I was so blown away by the selection. Everything was so beautiful! Pastries, chocolates and macarons of all colors and flavors, it was a feast for my eyes. I didn't even know where to start so I just randomly chose a dozen chocolates for her, 3 for another one of my girls and 2 macarons for myself. I wanted to get some pastries to take home but the employee assisting me said that they wouldn't last an hour. Before I left I ended up getting some of the French rum pastries that I love and never remember the name of - I love/hate that they had them displayed at the register, they know what they're doing! The selection of sweets, the customer service and the beautiful interior of the bakery really make this such a special place. Such a sweet treat no matter what you leave with.

It has been my experience that few bottles that go under $40 are worth my time. I was wrong. Amy, owner of TOTT, shared with me 4 wines that ran $15-$20 that I actually truly enjoyed. Her selections are impressive, small batch bottles, 5,000 in existence or less from around the world. She also has a strong meat and cheese selection and an adorable dog to boot. I will be back!

What a charming wine and cheese shop! I never knew this even existed. I mean, I have driven past…read moreit without even a second thought. I didn't know what it was, until some friends of mine booked a wine tasting for us. What? I love wine tastings, and thought I had to drive to Dahlonegha for that. No idea there was a place so close by to do wine like this. We walked in and were walked back to a quaint room with a long table and chairs around it. A reservation had been made for the wine tasting, so the four of us were seated with some other people that had made the reservation as well. Amy, the owner, came in and introduced herself. She was so knowledgable about wines, and really was informative. I have to say I've been to several wine tastings before, but I learned a lot here from Amy. She told us about herself, and what her store is all about. She stated she has about 300 wines in her shop, and she has tasted every single one. She stated that she got a lot of her wines from small producers, and that most of her wines were under $20. She said she liked to have a unique variety of wines that would be good to grab for a dinner at home, or for a gift. She also had several imported and domestic cheeses. We had the opportunity to try a few different cheeses, and by far my favorite was the brie/gouda mix Belletoile. It was so good and creamy. The crackers that were served with the cheeses were so good as well. We had a peppercorn and a plain cracker. Both were really good, and I loved the small sizes of the crackers to go with the cheese. They were made from a small company in Chamblee called Georgia Sourdough. You can buy their crackers at this store, so you don't have to drive to Chamblee. So the wine tastings are Monday-Saturday. Drop-in tastings are Monday through Wednesday for $10, which includes four wines and one cheese with cracker. Thursday through Saturday, Amy does a six wine tasting paired with 3 different cheeses and crackers for $18 per person. The latter requires a reservation. Each tasting has a theme, so for instance, the one we did was USA Wines. And I tried my first Riesling I actually didn't mind. It wasn't sweet. She mentioned that before I tried it, and she was right. You also get to keep the BPA plastic stemless glass you use to do the tastings. She chose these BPA glasses, because there is no odor like with most plastics and doesn't have that plastic taste, either. The glasses are very sensitive to heat, though, so don't put them in your dishwasher or they will melt. She serves the wines from lightest to heaviest, and she told us if you rinse the glass each time with water between tastings you will change the way the next wine should taste. She said going from lightest to heaviest will nix the need to actually rinse the glass. If you like any of the wines or cheeses you try the day of the tasting, you can get any of them for 10% off. And she won't tell you the prices of the wines until after the tasting, which was a good idea. She didn't want us having preconceived ideas on the taste based on knowledge of the price. Unfortunately, I picked the most expensive wine as my favorite. I wouldn't pay $27 for a wine for any regular evening, but it's a good choice for the weekend or entertaining. I'd love to come back here, sooner than later. I am so excited my friends discovered this place, and will definitely be back. If you live in the area, check it out.

So happy that I did! When I walked in, the staff were super friendly and all smiles. The cashier/barista was such a sweetheart! They have a cheese market, deli, bakery bar, and coffee shop all in one! They sell all kinds of charcuterie items, from salami, cheese, jam, jellies, to coffee, candy, wine, and chocolates. They also sell cutting boards and other little trinkets. I absolutely loved that they sell "charcuterie for one" that has cheese, meats, and olives for a single serving on the go too! We saw that they had a lunch box special for sandwiches that includes a sandwich, cookie, pickle spear, and bag of chips for $12. What a steal!!! We decided to get the Jammin' Pig sandwich which is a panini pressed sandwich with ham, brie cheese, and cherry jalapeño jam. The lunch box was a great size and included Lay's regular potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie! They also sell other cookies and baked goodies (brownies, cakes, etc.) at the bakery bar area. The sandwich was probably the best sandwich I ever had in my life. Holy cow! The sandwich was pressed and grilled perfectly with nice grill marks and the meat and cheese was fresh! The brie and the cherry jalapeño jam melted together so nicely and added a creamy and flavorful element to the sandwich. The ham provided the saltiness that helped cut a little bit of the sweetness from the jam. The jam wasn't spicy at all. It was a beautifully balanced sandwich. My husband thought I was exaggerating (because I'm not picky with anything haha), but as soon as he took a bite, his expression was speechless. He loved the sandwich so much, that we decided to come back the very next day and ordered the same sandwich and tried another one. If you want to take another step, take a bite of the sandwich and then a bite of the pickle for that hint of acidity. It causes a umami effect with all the flavors dancing on your palette! For the lunch box special, you either get a chocolate chip cookie or the white chocolate cranberry one (I believe they alternate cookie flavors based on their inventory), but both cookies were delicious. The texture is not like other cookies as it's more like an oatmeal texture kind of deal. A little bit crumbly, but nonetheless, both flavors were very good and tasty. My husband ordered the Kickin' Horse sandwich the day after and he actually liked it better than the Jammin' Pig. His sandwich consisted of ciabatta bread, roast beef, muenster cheese, horseradish sauce, and onion, panini pressed style. I had a bite of his sandwich and all the flavors worked so well. The horseradish sauce brings out the roast beef flavor and enhances the muenster cheese. We tried some iced latte specials as well. We had the "Hippie Chick" that is a lavender honey flavored latte and the "Sweater Weather" which is a cinnamon and caramel? flavored latte. We absolutely loved the Hippie Chick latte and ordered another one when we came back, but the "Sweater Weather" wasn't our favorite. Respectfully, it tasted like a fall candle. It was good, but not the best we've had. Overall, we will definitely come back when we're in the area. The price was worth it for the amount of food that you get! Trust me when I say to get the sandwiches! You will not be disappointed!!! Now I'm craving their Jammin' Pig sandwich....
