I first reached out to Redtail in April 2022 with various questions about getting a charter from Durango to Moab in October 2022. I was nervous about the idea of booking a charter, in part because I didn't want to get stranded in Durango and miss an important event we had planned in Moab. Amanda was so incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions when I first booked our flight in April and all of my questions over the next six months. Amanda immediately gave me confidence in flying with Redtail and she was helpful in pointing me towards options for rental cars. When the day of our flight came Barbara picked us up in Durango. Barbara was welcoming, friendly, entertaining and most importantly a safe pilot. She even helped us load our luggage in our car which I thought was very kind. While she safely navigated from DRO to CNY she gave us some recommendations for what to see and where to eat in Moab and she pointed out some sights too. We loved that she pointed our Corona Arch because we hiked up to that arch later that afternoon. We really enjoyed our flight with Barbara! In addition to doing charter flights, Redtail Air Adventures specializes in scenic tours over Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Redtail also does river shuttles such as dropping or picking up people who are going to hike, bike or raft somewhere in the wilderness and they need a one-way ride. Excellent Shuttle Service…read more Geoff was super responsive to my inquiries and offered a lot of advice and suggestions ( and free trail maps). The booking process online was very easy and accurate with good directions to parking. The shuttle itself was on time, clean and comfortable with good, safe racks for you bike. The added bonus is that they are one of the few ( perhaps only) shuttles in Moab that will pick you up where your chosen trail system lets out. This is huge because it allows you to leave it all on the trail instead of worrying about keeping a little in the tank to make the slog back to town on the road which is always a bit of a buzz kill. The shuttle itself is is a great ride! not only clean but a smooth ride which up those dirt roads is saying something! The bikes are loaded on carefully and they ensure there is no way of damage / rubbing on the way up. The ride itself was like a guided tour of the views, with insights into the area and trails plus the "give me your trash dont leave it up there" means the leave no trace ethos starts straight away. Having tried other shuttles before this is one is the only one we use now, its a keeper!
