Obviously options are limited here. We wanted a quick and easy dinner so we went for it with low expectations. It must be the same owners for Sophie's, Asian Food and Canyon Pizza - maybe they should focus on one concept and do it well. We were the second table in the place and told to sit wherever. They offer beer and wine - skip the wine as the options are lackluster, but apparently they make sangria and a 16 oz pour is the same price as beer. They have a few draft beers on tap - bud and a couple of Mexican selections (one of the many connecting points). We ordered an overpriced 14" pepperoni pizza for $18. Thankfully napkins are on the table to blot off all the grease. There is potential - the crust could be good. Service was lackluster - one person running the counter and floor and one person cooking. Again, not many options so we will hit the general store and opt for dinner in tomorrow. BTW...if someone wants to open a decent restaurant, you would make a killing here! read more

We had pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza (feta, spinach and mushroom ) was ok. The toppings were sparse , particularly the feta. The salad was laughable and way overpriced. The highlight was the sangria. It's difficult to find good food in this area but you can do better than this. read more

Can I give a negative star? They are rude. Food is not very good. Don't even think of trying to get vegetarian or vegan food. They are not helpful in that regard at all. My family wanted pizza so that's what they got, I went next door and got amazing Mexican vegan food at Sophie's Mexican Kitchen and took it back to the hotel. read more

Overpriced greasy food.. that pretty much sums up this place. Save yourself the poor experience and go to the Wendy's across the street instead if you want a burger. The one I got was greasy, undercooked and burnt outside. I didn't order their pizzas since they didn't seem that good from the looks of other customers' pizzas, but it seems to be one of the few pizza places in the area. On top of this, they have loud music blasting from their poor quality speakers. There's definitely a ghetto vibe to this place but you won't be paying ghetto prices for sure! read more

Although the pizza was a little pricey, it was amazing. BBQ pizza actually meant BBQ sauce instead of the salsa and the crust and everything about the pizza was amazing. You can get different halves for the 14" pizza, so we got half BBQ chicken and half Thai chicken pizza. Unlike the very negative reviews posted thus far, we had terrific food here. We had a #5 (sausage/meatball/ham/pepperoni) thin crust pizza which was absolutely delicious! Perfectly baked. The chicken wings were overcooked so too crispy. The eggplant parmasen was fantastic! The decor was quaint , a biker theme (I think.) It wasn't cheap, but the food was good. We had pizza, 10 wings and the eggplant parmasen for $42. We just drank the water they provided. read more

This place is a joke! 42 dollars for a pizza, 1 beer served in a mason jar, 1 appetizer, and a diet coke. The pizza was so disgusting that I didn't even finish the slice. We literally left an entire pizza on the table and walked out. Guess that's the reason they make you pay before your served. I've had better frozen pizzas then this supposedly homemade pizza we were served. It wasn't fully cooked and the sauce was like something you'd buy at the store. Pizza was $21.99 ! I'm from Cali, and pizza doesn't cost that much and if it does it's because it's a Chicago deep dish. Me and my husband came here for dinner because the canyon plaza resort's dinner was $28 per person & we already spent $75 for lunch at Sophie's Mexican restaurant. We brought it back to our hotel room, and was disappointed. Pizza was super thin and flimsy, toppings not so good. My husband always finishes pizza but just not this one. Every restaurant here, I would say to expect it to be over priced and not that great of quality. The Cook messed up our pizza order (to go), making a 20 mins wait to last more than 45 mins long. Asked for the buffalo wings order to be redone because of the wait (this got done in just a few mins, but because of the pizza, it stayed stand still for so long, so more than half an hour. Rather than apologizing and just redoing, the cook refused, leaving the lady at the counter to only offer to reimburse for it. And hearing the cook saying it wasn't his fault, it was just comical to say the least. The pizza, after those 45 mins? it still found a way to be not so good and barely warm, if not cold. This place was overpriced and accurate to other reviews. Since the area is pretty much a tourist trap seems about right that the restaurants are too. Spaghetti and meatballs with the "homemade" marinara sauce was watery and unsatisfying. Since there aren't many choices in the area it's good for a quick stop and to split a meal. I've read some of the reviews and noticed a lot of one stars. Most of the complaints seems to be towards the customer service and/or prices. We didn't necessarily have a problem with the customer service (sure they could be friendlier) but I have to admit the pizzas are pretty expensive (but that's the going price here). The pizza itself is tasty it has a nice thin crust, and the toppings were good. Like what other yelpers have said the prices are high compared to the portions but also in comparison to its appearance. This restaurant has the feel that you'll get a lot more for what you pay for but you don't. And when you have those types of expectations and they're not met it's definitely disappointing. read more

Terrible experience! Walked in & the guy was on the phone. No greeting. We ordered the special - spaghetti & meatballs w/garlic bread, wings & fries. That & 2 drinks was almost $40. Pretty extravagant but I'm sure they hike up the prices because it's a tourist area. The spaghetti was disgusting! The noodles were over cooked so they like mush. The sauce was watered down with chopped up tomatoes that hardly looked cooked & had a lot of dried basil so it was on the sweet side. Add a 16oz beer and small glass of wine (in a plastic cup) and the bill was almost $30. The cashier/helper was not sure the tax on my order was correct. He started to figure it on a calculator and gave up saying "that looks right I think". I can't believe all the bad reviews! Yes the pizza is pricey, I kinda expect that because your right at the south rim of the canyon... it's a tourist trap. The pizza was delicious! Super cheesy and not greasy! The person at the counter was very nice, he even gave my daughter a Minion toy that was his, just because she liked it. Mehh, just mehh. This place was only okay. We were searching for a quick bite to eat and found there were not a lot of good food choices on the south rim of the canyon. So, attempting to avoid the Pizza Hut express or Mcdonalds we came here. The place is pretty run down and has a hodge podge of menu items from tacos to pasta to burgers. We had a nice experience here. The employees were quick and to the point but polite and even offered to sub a side salad rather than chips for me at no extra charge. I liked that the food was prepared in the open where we could see them making it. Between three of us we tried a veggie burger, a meatball sub and a turkey sandwich. All were tasty with fresh ingredients. I am happy with our meal here. THe pizzas looked delicious, and the two that came to nearby tables had us drooling and rethinking our order. Albeit I think this restaurant might be better than other places in this city, I will strongly suggest that you do not eat here. The service is horrible, but ok, that can happen to you at the best French bistros as well. But the food... we met some people who ordered a pizza and they did say that it was edible. But we ordered burgers and pasta. The pasta was clearly pre-cooked and absolutely disgusting. The meat balls would have made my dog very happy. But not my son. And the burger was greasy, had no taste and was outright disgusting. I have to admit that the beer was ok. I will never eat here again, and I reckon that the guys who run this place know this and, therefore, act accordingly: Serve the cheapest crap you can get away with because tomorrow the customer will probably be in another state. read more

We stopped by here for lunch on the way to Grand Canyon - nothing fancy, it's is what it says it is - but it has really amazing pizza! Where I come from we only have thick gross crust pizzas - here it's how pizza should be, nice and thin and crispy with really good sauce. We just got a pepperoni but it was delicious. Honestly, the food at this place is much better than the reviews would lead you to believe. We tried the wings, garlic bread, and the veggie pizza and all agreed that the food tasted great. The service the night we were there was also quick and efficient, if not particularly warm or friendly. The only thing that I could fault this restaurant for is the prices. The total for one pizza, garlic bread, wings, and a soda: $45. That would be outrageous anywhere else outside of a theme park. But looking around at the other establishments in Tusayan, you get the sense that most of the restaurants are tourist traps. We asked to have our wobbly table wiped off, and someone who seemed to work there helped (it's hard to tell who works there). These guys could care less what you think. Staff is unattentive, inconsiderate, and incompetent. We watched a customer before us wait for his food, only to be told they couldn't find his order. Even though he had his receipt, they could not find his pizza. He left after unsuccessfully trying to get a pizza he had already paid for. After this customer left, the kitchen was in total confusion as they now had an extra pizza. No employees knew whose pizza it was. We watched as the guys pizza went into the trash. We never actually got to order. After waiting at the counter for about 15 minutes and watching the debacle unfold, we finally lost patience and asked if we could order a pizza. It was then we were told, "Oh? We are closed". Yes, it was 9:10 and they close at 9:00. We never got any food, so who knows how it would have tasted. We left the place and the still brightly lit neon OPEN sign in the window. I don't usually write reviews, but the service was so terrible at Grand Canyon Pizza and Grill I hope to spare someone else the heartburn. Don't go here! Go to Pizza Hut across the street.
