We decided early that we wanted a destination wedding, but the world offers many options, and the task to pick a location seemed daunting. Even after we decided on a country (Mexico), the wedding planning task was still daunting to do on our own because there were so many options within that country, so we decided it would be best to seek the help of a professional. We found Sheila on The Knot, and after reading a little more about her, we decided to contact her. Part of requesting a consultation involved filling out a questionnaire that asked for several of our preferences, and during our first phone conversation, she asked us to elaborate on our responses to that questionnaire. Some of our preferences included the following: 1) all-inclusive resort, 2) family-friendly, and 3) affordability for us and our guests. Following the phone conversation, she emailed a few suggestions based on our preferences, and we looked into the offerings of each by exploring their websites and YouTube reviews by other travelers. One of those resorts actually met all three of our major preferences, and as soon as we confirmed our choice, Sheila went into action. She immediately set up a website for us to share with our guests. After a round of feedback from us, the website was launched, and our guests used it to contact her, and she essentially served as their travel agent. She helped our guests book room reservations, flights, group transportation between the hotel and resort, and excursions (if desired by the guest). She helped all of our 55 guests, including accommodating families to be near each other at the resort (and this resort was VERY large). Regarding our wedding, she helped us communicate with the appropriate wedding planning personnel at the resort. Whenever any issues arose, Sheila served as our advocate to help us communicate our needs with the resort. And throughout the trip, she threw in a few pleasant unexpected wedding surprises for us here and there. Our only criticism is that she could not join us as one of our wedding guests; she is such a pleasant person, and we wish she could have been there to enjoy the fruits of her labor. The least we can do is thank her and recommend other couples to seek her assistance with destination wedding planning. We hope she'll consider helping us again for our next romantic getaway.

I've since referred her to multiple close friends because of the quality of her work. From our initial call, I was a bit skeptical about working with a honeymoon planner. I didn't even realize that was an actual vendor! When wedding planning, it's easy to get caught in markups, people trying to sell you anything, and the general hubbub of it all. But Shiela was a true professional, she answered my questions thoughtfully and carefully, and completely changed my mind during that first call. What I initially thought was a service we didn't need quickly became something we were excited to continue using for all of our future trips. She handled all of our accommodations, bookings, tours, and hotels. She even left notes for hotel staff letting them know it was our honeymoon and gave us insider tips and tricks for places she had visited herself. It was such a joy working with Shiela, she gladly worked through the iterative process of adjusting our honeymoon to be exactly what we wanted. No frills, no complaints. Just clear communication and total professionalism. Like I mentioned, we refer her to many friends now. We used her for our honeymoon last year and had an amazing time in both Croatia and Slovenia enjoying such a unique and romantic trip. Now we now have memories that will last a lifetime. I booked a 6-week stay at 2545 S Gene Autry Trail Unit E. Shortly after arriving, I became severely sick. It was a type of illness I recognized from previous mold exposure, but significantly worse. My doctor urged me to have the home tested -- the results showed the property was hazardous and unfit for occupancy due to toxic mold. I had to leave immediately for my health and safety. I informed management, who acknowledged the situation and assured me they would collect and safely store the four packages I had ordered before leaving. That was over a month ago. Since then, I've dealt with 39 back-and-forth emails and two long drives -- totaling four hours -- based on false assurances that the packages had been retrieved and were ready for pickup. I was repeatedly told they were "secured at the office," only to arrive and be told they were somewhere else -- once in "Building B," once supposedly "in the mailbox," and eventually that they'd been mailed back to the sender. Why was I lied to so many times? To cover up carelessness, laziness, and complete incompetence. At no point did AMG take responsibility for their disorganization or their failure to follow through on basic communication. I made it extremely clear I was driving a long distance to retrieve these packages. They wasted my time, lied repeatedly, and left me empty-handed. Worse, they have never removed the mold-infested property from their website and are still actively listing it for new guests. When I briefly returned to retrieve my items, the house had dead bugs in the entryway. It was clearly uninhabitable, but they continue to rent it out anyway. My main contact was Julia Charbonneau, and I also corresponded with Brianna Collingwood. Neither showed a basic level of competence or care. This company is careless, dishonest, and dangerously unprofessional. If you value your health -- or even just your time -- stay far away. There are plenty of better-run rental platforms in the desert, including Airbnb and Furnished Finder.

Today was the day. Chatel came to pick me up (she was early and ready to go). What an amazing person. Constantly attentive, helped me in and out of the car and helped me get up and down out of chairs at my appointments.
