This was my first time here and it was a cool experience. I did the coaster which was different! I loved how you can control the speed of the coaster. Don't get me wrong, it still gives you that rollercoaster feeling. It cost $20 for one ride. Wish it was at least 2 -3 rides, but if you haven't done something like this, it is worth trying. They also have tickets you can purchase for tubing, which you can do the whole time you're there. They also have a mini cafe where you can purchase food. Based on the experience I had with customer service, I would give this place a 2-3 stars. When we walked up after buying our tickets, the little blonde girl with the glasses was kind of rude. I made a comment loud enough for her to hear that she needed to be kinder and when we came back from the car she was in fact more pleasant. It shouldn't take me calling her out for her to be a nice person. It's your job and we asked a question about keys. Don't get snarky. The ride was fine. It was a good time but not worth $20 for one ride. We were lucky it was not busy so we didn't have to deal with other riders than ourselves. I did hear if you get stuck behind a slow rider that's your ride so beware. I have all sorts of ADA HIPAA protected diagnosis. I shouldn't have to justify myself. It's a bummer that when I went to go watch the video I paid like $25 for the video was no longer downloadable. I emailed the company and they still have not replied. So that was a waste of money. A lot of it was dubbed with scenes that were general and not even from your experience. It's in tiny fine print that you have a certain amount of time to download it then it deletes so that's messed up. Update 11/09/2023: Still no response so that receives a one star in my book. The kids and I headed to Williams for the Canyon Coaster as a fun excursion from Flagstaff on a recent Sunday... We didn't know what to expect, but we all had a blast! We did the three tubing rides + one coaster ride for $35 each and it was perfect... we probably could have spent more time, but it was ideal for us as we got the experience and then headed back to Flag for lunch... Staff was friendly, rides were fun and safe, views were great, lines were not bad, parking was easy. We would totally return. For reference, my kids are 11 and 10 and we all went solo in the coaster. We ended up also purchasing my daughter's video for around $15... it's definitely a fun memory and really well done. read more

We stopped here on our trip to the Grand Canyon. The coaster ride is pretty pricey for how short it is. This place is good for a first time experience. We did the coaster ride and the tubing. My husband and I did a day trip to Williams from Phoenix mainly for this attraction. I found out they opened about a month ago. It did not disappoint! The ride is SO MUCH FUN. We did full speed all the way down so it is a pretty quick ride. This would also be good for someone who doesn't want to go too fast as you can control the speed and put the brakes on if you want. Also maybe good for a kid to try out a roller coaster who hasn't been on a big one yet. The ride is $20/per person however this is in line with other mountain coaster pricing in the US. It does seem like a lot for a quick ride, but I think its worth it to do once. Hoping that as they are opened longer they will offer some sort of package pricing to be able to enjoy time there longer. This is the 3rd mountain coaster I've been on and definitely my favorite one! read more

Took the family up to the coaster and also enjoyed the mountain tubing, too!! Williams is something special and at the end of the famous Route 66 sits a mountain with a coaster and few slides on it. It's super neat and fun for the whole family... but it's a quick experience and fairly spendy. We've gone twice now. read more

While staying overnight in Williams to take a ride on The Polar Express train ride, as we headed out back on our way into PHX the next morning, we had to stop by and check of Arizona's first and only mountain coaster. I have only been on one other mountain coaster in Gatlinburg, TN and it was a blast. This one provided just as much thrill and fun! While the temperature was around 34 with windchills in the upper 20s, it was quite cold barreling down the mountainside at 20+ mph, but it provided that extra pump of adrenaline! We did not take in the other activity they had there as we really weren't prepared for the weather, although they looked like a lot of fun as well. My only negative was the cost as it is a bit high for only one ride down the hill. The coaster in TN gave you 2 rides for about $5 more than a single ride here. The first ride down gives you the opportunity to get comfortable with the track and then the second run allows you to go fully open or control it in the areas which you want as you know what to expect. Even if they raises the price a couple dollars, but gave you 2 passes on the track would be great. As it is pretty much brand new (open less than 9 months as of this post), I'm sure they are working hard to keep it open and growing. If you are in the Williams or Flagstaff areas, or even just passing through, this is a MUST TRY for anyone who enjoys coasters or some good old downhill thrills with plenty of turns and dips to make the full ride a very fun experience. read more

Went Saturday morning. Called first expressing concerns about the Coaster wait times given reviews but also similar Vail, CO ride. The female answering couldn't give me a time estimate (5 min? 1hr?) and seemed bothered by the question and gave a vague 'should be fine' answer. Arrived with my active boys 5 + 7. Gaggle of young females in matching shirts directing patrons to the waiver desktops for self-completion ***From experience, it's often WAY faster to simply scan the Parent/Guardians license and an employee to manually enter child information (than the delays atypical with different users/tech and typing ability/etc.). It's one of the touch points that can make the process more efficient but alas.... Minutes earlier/walking up the ADA ramp (back injuries) two Senior women were chatting about their Coaster ride experience and complaining it was so slow. ***Didn't know if they inferred the overall process/wait times or discretion to 'go fast'/have an exiting ride. ***We like to go fast(!) and the entire staff in Vail (counter/ride operators) were more than willing to let me wait for the run to be clear before doing a FAST run. Had a feeling per the reviews/watching a couple carts creep the last track section before entering the parking lot... prob. not the case/not worth the $ gamble. Decided to pay for 2hrs ($35/EACH) of tubing as the match for single/low # of runs neared this amount. Then directed inside the building to another 'gaggle' of female workers who affixed the ride ticket to the boys shoes. I asked multiple times if the Bar/Restaurant provided a view of the Tubing hill (sit on a patio like the one facing Williams?). I was told it was visible I discovered on the second floor that the Bar/Restaurant had no rear outdoor patio nor any visibility of the Tubing area (other than two monitors (one behind the bar) that provided a CCTV view. Then the 'hike' to the Tubing area was via three sets of stairs. I have back/neck ailments (medically retired) and there was no alternative noted nor offered. I wasn't going to have my boys figure it out, so step by step holding the railing was the sole solution. I contemplated turning around and seeking a refund but little did I know there were more surprises ahead! ***Odd too as to the left of the rock plateau wall there is a dirt service road and a black UTV was parked next to the entrance (affiliated with the center). Would have been a nice/easy solution. The tubing area had two workers at the bottom and one at the top. They were helpful especially Jason. - NO shade (well other than the comical area I noted in the pic) - NO bathroom(s), not even Porta-Johns - NO SHADE (it was 90d+) - NO SEATING for parents/guardians. - NO drinks (like a water fountain/fill station. The only alternative was to trek back down the three flights of stairs (which for me is a 15min. slow episode). Once the boys were settled knocking out runs with the engaging employees I returned to the second floor bar/restaurant for bathroom and get drinks (including one I brought for an employee (I offered). I wondered how the Tubing crew handle staffing if one of them needs a bathroom break but they have min. coverage needed (at the bottom/top of the run and Escalator)?? It was really surreal the differences between the various factions of this complex and how they didn't seem to be knowledgeable about operations nor make suggestions NOR HAVE EXPECTED DELIVERABLES(!) up on the Tubing 'mesa'. I thought of the HUNGER GAMES series and perhaps the owners were purposely keeping the different employee groups segregated? Maybe it was just the 90d heat and having to stand for 1.5hrs with only a fence rail to assist? How I went in 'Tribute' for beverages and offered them to employees if desired... From my Professional work over two decades - I spent weeks in Orlando, FL exploring a Rollercoaster option for the commercial property division. "Coasters are King" is the typical industry Mantra... people like watching movement/others engaging in exciting behavior but also they result in HIGH INTENT TO RETURN. I'd like to think this ambitious and high profile addition to Williams is still evolving and refining operations. However many of the touch points/employee engagements were lackluster at best and there was NO incentive (discount for return visits/etc.) offered. I'm sure they can make $$ on group events from Bus tours full of foreigners to seasonal visitors (for the GC Train/etc.) ....meanwhile they are losing repeat business (like the potential we would return for snow tubing) over minimal additions (awnings/portable toilets/seating/ADA transport). So much potential. Ironically exactly the type of business operation I spent years covertly/overtly visiting and providing candid perspective and solutions to clients. Too often it's bewildering when indifference overwhelms desire to evolve. I could turn this place around in two weeks with little effort! read more

BEWARE MONEY TRAP!! I would give 1 star but gave 2 because there is fun to be had but at a ridiculous PRICE! This is literally located in a parking lot on the side of a busy street. Not in nature as you'd think/hope. *$20 per rider for ONE trip on the coaster- lame! Should be at least $20 for 2 rides if not 3. THEN you would pay $15 for the 1min video they take of you. No Thanks! *$45 per person for snow tubing... and $30 for small kids who have to ride WITH an adult... crazy! Super long lines & the workers don't even push your tube... you have to struggle to get going. I better get a glass of wine as you push me for $45! My husband and I enjoyed Canyon coaster for the coaster ride and for the tubing. However, it is pricey for something that lasts less than an hour. I hope it succeeds because it is a fun thing to do but in today's economy, it might be difficult for families to 'splurge.' Hopefully they come out with some good discounts for visitors and families We have eight grandchildren, and we thought it would be fun to bring them up there however, eight times $35 for less than an hour is kind of expensive. So much fun! We were staying at an Airbnb that had hills but man hauling my three year old up the hills to go sort of sledding was no joke, especially if your not from a place with elevation. So I decided to take my son and check this place out. It is super cool! We did the coaster which was a blast! Myself and my three old had such a great time on the coaster. The attendants are nice, and helpful, the track and carts are safe. It's a beautiful scenery coming down the coaster. We also did the snow tubing was also a blast! The lift to get tot he top of the mountain top notch, made my life so much easier. The inner tubes were well maintained and the slopes were in great condition as well. After, we checked a few things out, we went to he dining area. The area was clean, the kitchen appeared clean and the employees were friendly. The options are limited but still a decent selection. There is a bar that opens at 12. There are fire pits outside with seating. The entire facility was clean and well maintained. Such a great experience! read more

Yes, it is quite expensive, but very fun and cute. Way better than a lot of conventional rollercoasters. Our 4 and 8 year olds had a blast doing the coaster and tubbing. Family came up to Williams today to ride the coaster and go to the deer farm. Loved the ride so much that we came back to ride a second time. On our second ride my daughters iphone flew out of her pocket and off the coaster. I have to say I was very disappointed. We came last year and did both the coaster and tubing. They were both tons of fun. The coaster and tubes were very fast. On the tubes, we would make it all the way to the end of the track. We only bought the 3 rides per person (we have 6 people in our group). But left wanting more. So we came back. This year was just the opposite. Since we had so much fun last year we bought the unlimited tube rides and 3 rides each on the coaster. Again, there were 6 of us. I'm not sure if they did something to slow everything down. The coaster was slower and I felt we couldn't go as fast. The tubes were the biggest disappointment. They were so slow. None of us in the group even made it to the end of the track. My kids only made it 3/4 of the way down. Like I said, we bought the unlimited rides and after the third time my kids weren't having any fun so we stop. Also, they should have some sitting areas and shade at the tubing spot for parents to watch and wait. Very disappointed this year. read more

Ride options are completely overpriced. For a family of 4, $120 for one coaster ride and one tubing ride is a little ridiculous, in my opinion. There should be a discounted price for anyone riding doubles on the coaster. We waited in line for nearly 2 hours (it was Labor Day weekend, and I don't need to be reminded of that), the extremely disappointing part was after that long of a wait, the two carts in front of us were obviously too afraid to be controlling their own speed.. they went extremely slow, which forced us to go slow and made it unenjoyable! My kids were begging my husband and I to go faster and we couldn't. Riders should not be able to control their own speed, it should be like any other normal coaster ride. The person in front of you can completely ruin your experience! We were really looking forward to our visit, but I cannot say that I would recommend any of my family and friends to visit the canyon coaster adventure park. We visited Bearizona the next day, had an amazing time and we paid less for a full day admission than we did for a single ride for each of us at canyon coaster. read more

The place is amazing and absolutely fun for the whole family. It is a must to try the canyon coaster. The service here is amazing, my key card that recorded me while I was going didn't work so the gentleman offered me a free ride so that I could get my video, but I didn't want to go by myself because I came with my family and he offered all of us a family of 6 a free ride just because of a small inconvenience. A great mini day trip with excellent staff! Ask about deals. They offer military discounts (BYGO) and have specials seasonally. Not a super long or too fast of a ride but worth trying. Fun and the staff is extra cautious making sure everyone is buckled in safely. We saw children as young as 6 and adults in their 80's having a great time. Highly recommend taking a drive out to enjoy this little mountian coaster! You control the speed, so no fear for kiddos who may be afraid of going too fast. $30 to ride the coaster 1 time is overpriced for what it is IMO, same with $45 for the innertubes especially considering the long lines waiting to get back up the hill on a weekend. I was there with my wife and two kids on a weekend for 2 hours and spent over $200 and we talked afterwards about how we wouldn't have done it again. All that being said the coaster was fun and fast but not worth the cost. read more
