Shawn was amazing! Not only did he do fantastic work but was absolutely wonderful to work with. He knows his stuff in upholstery and convertible tops but the fun part is that he knows quite a few other things too and is willing to engage in fun and relevant conversation. This sort of engagement and passion with customers is pretty rare these days and was much appreciated. He was prompt in not only returning calls but would proactively call for either permission on changes or advice on what would be the best options (which were not the most expensive ones!). He even came in on the weekend to finish the job since he expected it to be done on Friday. He could have easily waited until Monday (which is perfectly acceptable) but that was above and beyond. My 2009 E 350 was vandalized and my sunroof- moonroof and back window were smashed . My insurance company sent the claim to Sunroof Express who ordered the glass and sent to Canvas Experts. Steve the owner called me on a Tuesday and said I could bring the car in immediately. I had it towed to his shop on Wednesday morning and by the afternoon he called to say repair was completed and car was ready for pick up. Steve said I could leave car overnight and pick up on Thursday..We went to pick up the car on Thursday and all glass was vacuumed out, and my back window was taped up.( *Safelight Autoglass was doing my back window , dont ask me why I had two different vendors for glass work. ) Good news is sunroof is installed and working. Steve is friendly and down to earth..Recommend this repair shop if you have glass, leather or boat repairs that are needed. read more

These guys are amazing! I wrote a previous review regarding a beautiful canvas cover they made for me 6 years ago. This past season, I started noticing some minor wear and tear on that cover. Basically, some of the stitching was coming undone, nothing major.. but I wanted to take care of it before it got worse. Got caught in some wind/rain and our bimini top tore off. It was the border stitching that was coming off. Took my bimini canvas over to Steve at Canvas Experts and he was able to repair it by replacing all border stitching with new canvas edging. They are very reasonable and the quality of work they did was outstanding. Great work and we highly recommend this place. I'll be returning soon to have a new canvas boat cover made. read more

I had my sunroof glass replaced as it shattered due to a tree branch falling on it on a windy day. Although my insurance found them, I have to say they were great. Outstanding job great customer service. Had the top to my 1990 Mazda Miata MX5 replaced last december. Quality job looks beautiful. One suggestion get your convertible tops replaced now before it gets cold. Reason being some of these manufacturers make the top so tight that they need to stretch out a bit in order to easily close. So it took a couple of months of fighting with the top to get it to close sometimes took more than two or three other people to help. But overall canvas experts were there to help me with that issue if I couldn't get the top clothes I drove by and they were more than happy to help me close the top and we're even at one point willing to order a new top from the manufacturer for me. Also done as soon as the weather start to warm up the top started to soften and it now closes no problem it's tight as a drum and no leaks perfect and looks beautiful. So for customer satisfaction and customer service I don't think you can beat campus experts. I've had a copper to replace in the past never quite happy with the outcome. But this time it worked out fine. read more

I had Canvas Experts (5th St. Sacramento Ca.) make a Bemini shade cover for my 21 foot pontoon boat a couple of months ago. They did a FANTASTIC job. Steve the owner has been making these for 30 years. He was the only maker I could find that could make the frame work in square tubing to match the other Bemini on my Boat. He also solved a couple of issues the other makers didn't even address. He advised me to have the Bemini made with Sunbrella for long lasting and good looking appearance.
