Canton is back in town!! Did you know? Get on down for the buffet and help support Priscilla & Jimmy! I give these guys 5 stars not because the buffet is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten (it is good but it is a smaller buffet than others) but because the owners have been living and working loyally in Galax for nearly twenty years and the atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting. The owners, Priscilla and Jimmy take time to get to know you and treat you like part of the family. They started offering fantastic sushi about 7 months ago. Then they left and moved to Radford for four months and it was so sad when we lost our downtown Galax Chinese restaurant. But great news! They didn't like it there and have officially moved back to Galax and reopened. The sushi is still great (they only serve cooked kind, but they have some awesome combos!). They still have their lunch and dinner buffets. It's still fun to play a game of pool with your sweetie while kicking back a good imported beer. Prices still fantastic. read more

This deserves no stars, i went here in 2019 with my mother and older sister. i was nine years old. we started eating the food they had and it was black inside and gooey in the spring roll. when we paid and tried to leave they would not let us out and kept blocking the door and yelling at us in a foreign language, they kept yelling and telling us to pay, while we already did, i was eating a kebob and a lady took the kebob out of my hand and stabbed my chin, theres a fucking scar. when we finally got out we went straight to the police and did nothing. called them back in 2023 and told them off and the person who answered (whos voice &i recognized) started being bitchy and asking what we were going to do about it. years later this was still a traumatic event for a 9 year old and a 13 year old. if you want good service, DONT COME HERE! read more

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming. friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect--clean, cozy, and well-maintained. It's always a treat! Every time I am in town, I make sure to stop by the Canton. I would definitely recommend the menu and ordering the Canton Volcano (alcohol drink for 2)! I am obsessed with their volcano! P.S. if you are dining alone, the owner will come by to check on you and chit chat. I always love talking to her and asking her about her culture!
