Nice welcome in. We were welcomed in and was able to check-in early. The log-in code didn't work, they gave us another code and it worked well. They provided a small heater that warmed up the cabin very well. There is a full size mattress and a cute small window in the loft. There's a futon, partial kitchen and tiny restroom. Patio with a small BBQ pit and a table. Good parking areas. There is a lake and a pool outside and RV areas. This is a very great location for some relaxing time. It would be nice if it included two sets of dishes, cups and silverware (for 2 people), and wi-fi that actually works. read more

I booked the large Conestoga wagon for my family. We got to spend two nights there and had a chance to explore Canton "trade days" that is right down the road. We have been trying to go camping every New Year's Eve for the last few years. The wagon we stayed in was number 1 and is the closest to the bathroom. It had a king size bed and two bunk beds. There was a heater inside, that worked well, even with freezing temperatures at night. We did take extra covers, but all beds had pillows covers and sheets. They also provided towels for 6 ppl. The bathroom was suppose to be only for the wagon guests, and had a code. We did see other people (not staying in the wagons) using the code and going in. Maybe because more ppl were actually using it, they were not maintained clean. There was trash overflowing. We noticed that it was picked up, but it got bad again pretty quickly. We had a great time there. The location of the wagons is in front of the pond, and is separated from the other camping spots. Very pretty. The resort offers many options for family activities and has a restaurant on site. read more

This campsite and cabins are exceptional. Although i didn't get to use the facilities and check out the trail i great it's nice. Which i had the time to. . There are cabins and tiny homes to rent. Cabins are Very spacious compared to tiny homes we've rented in past and at other locations. Our cabin had a Queen with two bunks. Nice use of space. Living area has a couch and code table. No Tv, which surprised us. Not that there wasn't any room. Please put chrome out Roku tv's in rooms!!! Give your visitors something to do in evenings. Kitchen Has a full fridge and microwave. Disappointed there was no stove either so it forced us to go out and eat. Two parking spots. Ask in all i loved it minus the stove and tv. If you do anything, bring games and make it quality family time. Omg, the bed and pillows are fantastic! I have a great mattress at home but when traveling i seak out places with excellent beds. I'd been sick and coughing nightly, but i slept like a baby here. read more

Such a nice rv park! It's a nice size - not too big. Has a great restaurant, Q&Brew with home brewed beer. The best sweet potato fries. Nice little pond to fish in - catch n release. Ducks a tiny (could be bigger) dog park. Cabins, tiny houses, etc even wagons to sleep in with a/c and heat. read more

NO TV IN CABINS. Just wanted to get your attention. I have stayed in many KOA campgrounds over the years and this place is exceptional if you have an RV. I had one for years but now I'm a cabin dweller and as gorgeous and clean as these cabins are, they have NO TV, and they don't tell you that on the website, in the brochures or on the phone when you're making a reservation. Not a game changer for me, as I came alone to write. Still, at $159 per weekend night and $99 on off nights it's crazy to not have them and bordering on criminal to not mention it. While I'm at it, the cabins do have, as advertised, "partial kitchens". That means full size fridge, a small microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. NO UTENSILS OF ANY KIND. Bring your own disposable dishes if you plan to actually eat in your cabin. It's a nice place. I give them five stars for facilities but less than two for honesty. read more

What a cute place. We travel with an RV and there are plenty of spaces for RV goers. The staff is so nice. Through the cold winter freeze the water stayed in. They insulate the water lines pretty good from what I saw. I went for daily walks with my dog around this cute place. There are ducks in the pond, cows on a huge piece of land next door and a really fun Texas Western Vibe. Just a very peaceful place with southern charm. There is a beautiful barn sitting on the property you can have any type of gathering. I would love to have a family reunion here. I have a huge family and this place would surely accommodate us. I can't wait to stay again. read more

Canton KOA Holiday. The silver spur resort 13785 TX 19 Canton, TX 75103 Stayed there Feb 3, 4 and left on 5 This is a nice looking place and we had a site overlooking the pond. It was very nice to sit and watch the ducks and geese swimming by and on our last morning there the ducks and geese crossed the front of our campsite, all of them together looking for food in the grass. It was very peaceful. I mention the peacefulness because the day before I saw a young boy throwing rocks at the geese and the ducks. I went out side and yelled at him to quit throwing rocks at the birds. To this he replied his grandfather works at the RV park and he was going to tell him about me yelling at him to stop trowing rocks at the birds. Later, I saw the boy riding in one of the work vehicles with an older man. I went up to the vehicle to talk with the person, assuming (correctly) he was the grandfather. I asked if he knew about the boy throwing rocks at the birds. The boy had told him about what had happened and to my surprise he was fine with it. He informed me he had been out earlier doing the same thing and that another person working there would take a pellet gun out and try to hit the birds. I was told different reasons why they felt it was fine to go out and throw rocks and shoot pellets at the birds. First, it was because there is an Egyptian goose that bothers the other birds. My reply was that the other birds can always fly away, and I pointed out to the grandfather that the boy was throwing rocks at the Egyptian goose, the white geese and the ducks. That changed the reason for it being ok to throw rocks and shoot pellets at the birds to their pooping on the tables at the RV sites near the pond and that upsets people and they complain about the mess. I watched the birds for a good 45 minutes as they were walking in front of the RV sites across from the pond and none of the birds sat on a table. I suggested that if they did not want to live with nature then they should get rid of the pond, not try to kill the birds. Rocks and especially pellets will kill a bird of that size. That went over like a lead ballon. I then went in to talk with the manager of the RV park and he felt the same as the grandfather. They want to get ride of the geese and figured that was the best way to do it. This place may look nice and a fun place but not for the geese. Know that if you go to this RV park you are condoning their action of throwing rocks and shooting pellets at the geese. For some reason they felt the ducks are ok to be in their pond, I think ducks also poop and may at times sit on a table, but I guess that is all right with them. The other thing I found so sad about this situation was teaching a young child that it is ok to hurt birds. Again if you go to this RV park you are also condoning that action. read more
