And I can say, after living here for over a year or so due to work, this place had us spoiled. First it has a pool, a gym with so much equipment, on site propane, mailroom, full bathrooms with walk-in showers, a theater room, a bar, plenty of washer and dryers with laundry detergent, a fully stocked kitchen and a community area to host parties. I'm sure I'm leaving out a few other things but they have so much to offer. Each lot has so much space in between the next. Enough space to place a grill, full patio set, fire pit, and raised beds. It is also fairly quiet in the front even though you are close to the highway. Every once and a while you will hear a motorcycle or vehicle but it dies down quickly afterwards. It's about 5 miles or so from I-20 and may 2-3 miles from town. The police department and sheriff's office are less that 2 miles away. But with being so close to everything it is still surrounded by two huge cow fields.

Man, was I happy to find Palestine RV Park! It's a fairly small park tucked away in the trees, with many long-term residents. However, they also cater to short term stays. I had my trailer there for four days. The sites are huge, with 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer. Roads in and around the park are asphalt paved, but the sites are unpaved, and it's fine sand that gets in EVERYTHING, so be sure to bring some doormats or something. The park is quiet (park rules say that quiet hours are from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, lol) and pitch dark at night, but there are pole lamps at the sites that you can plug in and use if you need additional lighting. Angela, the owner, met me at the gate in her UTV and led me directly to my site, where she did the paperwork and payment, then offered to help me set up my trailer! There's a nice laundry and shower building near the entrance. The park has controlled access with keypads and a gate controller, and you can come and go as you please. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again! p.s. Be sure to look for Bigfoot when you're there! ;-)

It seems to be mostly permanent residents with very little short term space it seemed, but it was convenient to where we were going. Everything was way too wet, for them and us, but that's not their fault. The owner/manager/whatever was nice enough but did not leave us instructions for after hours arrival. I know the weather had caused them big problems I'm sure. We survived but were only there for one night and moved on. They had what seemed to be a nice TV room and pool but we didn't need any of that.

I felt totally safe there and that made the high price worth it. They also had more amenities than other RV parks including a super clean laundry room, swimming pool and showers. There were two or three additional buildings in excellent condition for group meetings, etc. They have a once a month group event. It was a barbecue pot-luck in July and an ice-cream social in August. My only real complaint was that the free internet was totally lame. They offered a paid version, but I didn't try it so I can't say about that. However, at the prices they charge, I thought the free version should have been better.

Laurie and Jeff are amazing people . They have a Amenity center where you can do laundry and even work out if you want . Fresh eggs daily from the chickens and they have so much to offer , such as horseshoes , corn hole . To much to list . The park is gated !
