A little soup... Part of the meal I irdered.
    Kevin G.

Very clean, lots of parking, polite and friendly service, good portions. So why two stars? Even though the meal was a good size there wasn't a lot of value. I ordered the meal for one; pork fried rice, chow main, sweet sour port and almond chicken and the meal was served with a cup of soup broth. Sounds like a lot I know but when you take a plate and load it with noodles and rice, two table spoons of sweet and sour pork and a small thin piece if almond chicken there isn't much value. Even the chow main was weak on ingredients. What I'm saying is that I filled up on fillers.... Noodles and rice. The meal didn't taste bad but it wasn't great either. Kind of bland. For the price I've had better Chinese food in town, thought I'd give it a try and I won't be back just because there are better places out there. Just my two cents.....

Are you friggin kidding me,what a massive disapointment, went there and ordered the seperate dishes, ginger beef and cantonese fried rice,it was delish,It was so good that on Easter Sunday i bought it again for my family but ordered individual combos this time, big mistake, got it home,I literally live a minute from them, the food was cold, not semi warm but cold,I'm positive they make them up and reheat them because the food had that reheated flavour and texture, and it was in no way, shape or form just cooked, not a chance in hell,we ordered and the lady said it'll be ready in 15 mintues,we were there early and it was already done which should have been a redflag for me,on my mothers life mine went into the trash after the 2nd bite and the rest of my family finally gave in and did the same,it was quite pricey but no big deal if its good food, the rice was hard, the chow mein was also either not cooked or had dried out from being premade and reheated, and the honey garlic pork was like sawdust, dry and chewy, there was maybe ahslf a cup of rice in each one and so called chicken on top was brown and wilted, the almond chicken was overheated also and not edible,I hope they're happy ruining Easter dinner with this garbage,if they can make their full dishes so amazingly well then for the life of me I can't understand why they'd do this, and even though they've done this to me I'd still recommend their full dishes, fresh and flavorful,I will never go back based on their absolute lack of integrity sending this nightmare home with me,go to moonlilly or capital, they we,'re closed so i went to Canton Garden based on my last order of seperate dishes which was fresh and hot so I know how the food is supposed to be,also i was the 3rd last order so i couldnt return it because they had closed, moneys tight during this pandemic, couldn't afford this at all but it was Easter so we splurged, treating your customers this way is wrong,do better in the future, people deserve better than this, heres my Easter dinner in the trash where it belongs

This is absolutely garbage. It's by far the worst 50$ we have ever spent. Didn't eat this crap and now have to cook. How have they been open for so many years. I have never liked them but it's been about 15 years so thought we would try again as capital and moonlilly are closed on a Sunday. How sad. If the owner is reading this I hope you are embarrassed! This was absolutely terrible even worse than Ginko if that's possible. Yup it's possible I now have to cook and we drove from cultus lake to get this. Damn ur kitchen needs a wake up call.

Canton Gardens is thee worst .. STAY AWAY CHICKEN CHOW MEIN isn't dollar store noodles with dry tasteless chicken

The noodle dish was superficially like chicken chow mein, except the vegetables were fresh flavorful and perfect textured-- just a bit of crunch, not soggy at all-- a great complement to the house made fresh noodles. The chop suey was a very healthy dose of assorted vegetables-- cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrot, snow peas, broccoli, etc with more thin sliced beef. A very satisfying, well-prepared, and wholesome meal. Fortune cookies and dinner mints to cap it off. Our server paid great attention to us, and we had a great experience start to finish.

First time visiting this Chinese buffet restaurant. Buffet restaurants are slowly coming back…read moreafter the pandemic and we were very pleased to find this one. There is ample parking with few spots left. The restaurant was packed and contrary to previous reviews, there was no tour bus filling this restaurant for the dinner rush, it was filled with people of all ages including a number of Asian families - always a good sign of authentic cuisine. The restaurant was clean. The ambience was humming with conversation. The staff are friendly, quick, and very busy filling up buffet items, cleaning up after diners, or bringing out clean plates and cutlery. The place was hopping at when we arrived at 5pm and remained so after we left at 7pm . The prices were very good for an all-you-can-eat buffet meal at $19 for lunch and $24 for dinner for an adult - Consistent with current meal prices. This is a very large buffet with 60 items to choose from and the taste is typical Hong Kong - Caucasian style Chinese cuisine. Simple classic dishes, meat, veg, starch, 2 soups (won ton and sweet and sour) desserts of classic fortune, wafer, maple cookies as well as oatmeal sugar free cookies, jello, cake, and 8 flavours of ice cream with a sugar free option. We tried a little of every dish. The one problem we find with a lot of buffets is food tends to dry out or overcook under the heat lights. This buffet was no exception. While the meal was good, if you are looking for fantastic - it would be best to order your dishes cooked to order and not at a buffet. Some of the food items were dated with heavy coatings - not surprising since this restaurant opened in 1987 and is a staple in Chilliwack. It is definitely worth a visit and go soon, as I understand the original owners, great-grandparents now, still cook and are looking to retire so this place is for sale. We hope this restaurant still exists when we visit again in a year as we would return. Overall, a very filling meal, perfect for a quick dinner you do not have to wait for. Recommendations - sweet and sour pork, garlic pork, shrimp stir fry, chicken legs, button mushrooms, both soups, and ice cream

Hi I have a huge rant to Gingko Sardis location…read more I know mistake one was to order from here. But, I called on my way from work in Abbotsford. I asked approx how long takeout is, so I could try and plan for a timely pickup. The girl responded she doesn't know because she doesn't know how big of an order I'll be making. Fair enough... so I tell her I'll be ordering 5 items, and she says 30 minutes. Perfect, and so I place my order. I enter the place, and it's literally a dump. I looked for washroom and said I want to wash my hands quickly before I come up. And she said the washrooms are for customers only. So I said ok, and proceed to counter and tell her I'd like to pay for my takeout order. She said it's not ready, and I could use the washroom now while I wait. So I wash my hands, grab the order, and Pay. So I did not tip for my takeout, as I noticed they didn't even apply the ten percent off for takeout if over $35. ( only reason I saw online menu before I made order, so if they changed this then they should update website. Before I even left the restaurant the girl in the front was taking receipt and started to shit talk about me. She starts mocking the conversation on my take out order about asking approx time for order and dropped about 5-10 f this, f her, f that etc. I got in my truck and thought ok maybe I'm mistaken, but I decided to call the restaurant back. I said I just picked up my order, and I hadn't even left the restaurant and you were already talking trash about me. She upped her voice into an annoying tone and said well I was just telling the truth and started to go off on me. I said that was so disgusting and unprofessional, I didn't do anything wrong. And because you were saying f this and f that about me, I will review and post about your behaviour. She went off, instead of apologizing for the disgusting behaviour. I did end the conversation with a curse word. So please be aware now with mediocre Chinese food, they also have a side of disgusting behaviour. I know my first mistake was to even order from here, but it was right off the exit.
