Let me start by saying, I engaged them years ago to do a fence on the recommendation of a neighbor whose fence they did. They did a very nice job. Fast forward to this week. I called on Thursday and the nice lady said he was out, and he'd call me likely Friday, maybe Saturday. I call again (not sure, Monday? ) and the snippy guy says they'll call tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and goes so I call and get told the same thing. I ask him if it's really gonna be tomorrow (intending to say that I'm fine with being told "next week", when he cuts me off, jumps down my throat and tells me I can take my business elsewhere. Then his boss, Rich, comes after me in FB saying all kinds of nasty stuff, privately while publicly playing the victim. Not nice people. read more

Terrible, stay away. I used them because they were a local company and like to give locals business. They install a wood fence which had posts rot within 5 years and the gate fell apart. I called and was told they couldn't guarantee a pressure treated fence? I have tried to call numerous times for a quote for a new fence, no calls back. read more

Horrible Customer Service. Canton Fence did our fence 4 years ago. A little more splitting of the wood posts than I would have expected but so be it. Fast forward to last month. One of the gates is so off that it can't open or close unless I lift the whole thing up. I called Canton Fence on April 29, spoke with someone, explained the situation and asked if someone could come take a look. I left my name and number. The person on the phone said they were busy so it might be a week before I get a call back. I wait 2 weeks, no call back. So I call again. This time, I left a message on voicemail, explained I called 2 weeks ago and asked again if someone could come take a look. A week later, still no call so I go there in persons. I was pretty much told I should call someone else. So I did call someone else, he came out that day to look at it and came back 2 days later. He gave us better hinges and better latches for our 3 gates so this shouldn't happen again. I understand if someone is busy, but they aren't that busy where someone couldn't take 1 minutes to call back and say "We can't look at this until XXX" and then let me decide. We are almost a month later and I still haven't received a call. Good luck if you use them. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone read more

Customer service is non existent. Price was decent but the lack of communication and issues w end product not worth the hassle. Had to call to come back and fix multiple issues and had to call 5 times to get a return call and then was spoken to like I didn't just spend thousands!! What happened to Canton Fence Company? Six years ago Canton Fence install a fence on our property. The price was very good and the service was outstanding. The installers were wonderful. Recently, we had a tree come down during a storm and damage a few sections. When my husband called, the man who answered was abrupt and dismissive. He said he would get back to us. Three weeks later we called again to find out about when they expected they could do the work and the same individual was now totally rude and said they had numerous calls, had our information and would get to us when they could. That was three months ago. I don't know if the company has changed hands but, from the recent horrible reviews, I would say something has definitely changed! read more

Not recommended. Dropped material off in driveway and did not return to install until 5 days later. Had promised to dump the removed fence posts but they were left behind. Customer service was horrendous. Left several messages, no response. Three days later they finally answered and made it seem like it was my fault. read more

Canton Fence put up a fence for my neighbor and a good 60-80 feet of it is blatantly over the surveyed property line. I called Canton Fence when it started to go up and the owner pretty much told me to just deal with it even though it blocked me out of a usable corner of my yard. His arrogance and neglect were alarming. I saw him looking at it after it was done and he just got in his truck and drove a thousand miles an hour out of the neighborhood. We had a fence installed in the Fall of 2020. It was part chain link and part white vinyl. It took a long time for them to get the materials, which was understandable given the supply issues caused by COVID. They came and did the work when they said they would do so. After a few days, the gate wasn't closing properly. I contacted the Richard, and he said they would come fix it in the Spring once the ground thawed. Since then, Richard has ignored my repeated requests to come fix the gate. Clearly, they have no pride in their work or warranty that the work will be done well. read more

Very fair prices (about 30-40% less than many other quotes I got) and quality product, but *horrendous* customer service. They placed a portion of a fence outside my yard boundary (which was professionally surveyed and clearly marked by a neon orange stake) and when I asked them for help to correct their own error, their response was lacking to say the least. It took multiple emails and unreturned voice messages to finally get a gruff response, and then the owner showed up to my house without telling me and only called me after he had left (I was home the entire time) to tell me he couldn't help me. To add insult to injury, they'd fix their mistake, but it'd cost $1400 and would only be done "after the busy season", which likely means 3-4 months. I found someone with that fixed it within two weeks for $600, which is $600 more than I should have had to pay but I'd rather light my money on fire than pay Canton Fence another dime. So if you want great prices but poor customer service, colorblindness to neon orange, and zero accountability for their own actions, Canton Fence is a perfect option. read more

Regarding scheduling, they didn't even notify me that they would be showing up. There was no communication at all. I had to keep e-mailing them to get updates. Canton Fence installed my neighbors fence. I watched as they dropped a fence panel right on one of my bushes and destroyed it, then another on my son's sandbox. Not sure why they needed to work from my yard when I wasn't even the one having the fence installed. Now I keep finding pieces of the old fence they removed with rusty nails sticking out. This is one of the best customer service company that I have experienced in while. We live in Newton, last spring I received an estimate they told they will reach out in the fall after I give them a deposit. They actually called and scheduled the job and I did not have to reach out to them. The 2 installers were professional and very informative I had a misunderstanding on the gate and wanted a different one. I called Canton Fence on recommendation of my aunt. She used them for her fenced in back yard. I called and set up an appointment for an estimate and they set me up for the following Thursday at 3:00 p.m. after I called on a Friday. They NEVER SHOWED UP!!! No call to say they were going to be late or couldn't come. They just didn't show up. Talk about unprofessional. Needless to say, I am so happy to not have spent one penny on their business. We are absolutely delighted with the service, product and outcome with Canton Fence! The cost was about 40% less than local competitors and the product & service was superior. One of our gates came out a little off, and the crew did not hesitate to come to our house and assess the situation. I have found their work to be first class, and am very happy with not only the jobs, but the general attitudes of everyone involved in the process. I found them to be very professional and courteous, and thought they went the extra mile in helping me make determinations of where and how to place the fencing. Weather and a long wait list caused me to wait a couple of months for the second job, but the wait was definitely worthwhile.
