This sort of shop is perfect if you're looking for some house wares or kitchen paraphernalia. It's a no-frills place and it's pretty cheap but when all you're looking for is a bucket or a gardening fork then this place is perfect.
I've popped in here a few times looking for kitchen utensils, and the last time I needed a baking tray. Although I didn't find the type I was looking for (they did have some but sadly not in the size I needed) I did pick up two decent-sized disposable trays for only a pound which were perfect for that evening. This was really handy for me as I couldn't think of anywhere else in the area I could go, let alone somewhere that would still be open.
As well as kitchen stuff you can get tools, pet supplies, toiletries, cleaning utensils like mops and brushes, and I think I even spotted fishing baits in the window. Basically this place sells all of that homely stuff that you never realise you haven't got until you need it. It's also cheap enough to rival the big supermarkets and is far handier because it's within walking distance of loads of homes, whereas most of the big supermarkets that sell this stuff tend to live on industrial estates or places that aren't really near residential areas. read more
