To describe this place in a nutshell I would say that it's a little shop on Albany road that sells lots of cheap tat (miniature Buddha's of the fake gold variety for 99p anyone?). But to be fair there are perhaps a few items in this shop that may just about make a visit "worth it".
When I went to university I desperately searched for a doorstop, and couldn't find one anywhere. If only I'd known about Worth It, they sell plastic door stops in packs of 10 for only 99p, I could have given one to every member of my corridor, and still had one spare (though I suspect they might not have been sturdy enough to hold back our industrially strong fire doors).
In addition to pet food, toys and some rather frumy looking underwear (that I dount even my Nan would buy) they also actually have a good selection of tools, which are as you've probably worked out by now, are quite cheap. Additionally there's also some electronic accessories, such as TV aerials, and extension leads, though not sure how much faith I'd have in them.
There's clearly some pretty random stuff in this place, and I don't think I'll be making a trip back. read more
