I have never seen so much useless tat in all my life as what was for sale last Sunday at Splott market.
Phew just had to get that off my chest!
Discounting the tat, there are a couple of interesting stalls at this market notably the fruit and veg stall in the outdoor part that sells big bags of big produce for £1 each. Bananas, garlic, chillies, ginger, grapes, apples, tomatoesyou name it, they've got it and all going for a quid. Result.
The big meat van auction thingy is always busy and quite entertaining. Sometimes the sheer speed they sell and bag meat at is enough to make you dizzy.
There's also a wicked second-hand DVD stall where you can get 3 DVDs for £10 (or 2 cheaper ones for £5). Though the films are used, the disks are in good nick and are unscratched. They also have loads of box sets on offer for between £15 and £20.
Other stalls include shoes, rugs, kitchen wear, baked goods, music, sports goods and toys. There's quite a mix of stuff, that's for sure.
