As someone who isn't a huge football fan, I was mostly tagging along for my husband, who was excited to visit. While there were plenty of exhibits, we were surprised that some notable players we expected to see had very little presence. My husband enjoyed the experience overall but felt there could have been more to see. One thing that stood out was the lack of seating throughout the museum. If you're planning to spend a few hours walking through the exhibits, be prepared to stay on your feet. We spent about two hours exploring and found the two theater presentations to be the highlight of the visit. The films were engaging and, for me, the most memorable part of the experience. The photo packages offered at the entrance were quite expensive, with the cheapest option starting around $38 for digital downloads only. The gift shop was also on the pricey side. In the end, we purchased the digital photos and a few small souvenirs. Overall, it's a worthwhile stop for football fans, especially if you can take advantage of a combo ticket. While my husband was glad he finally got to visit, we both felt the experience was a bit shorter and less extensive than we expected.

One of my favorites things is seeing Akron Children's Hospital overseeing the ball park. I can only imagine how much it brightens a child's day to look out their hospital room window to see the inside of the ball park. There was a 2026 Extreme Foods article written about food at Akron Rubberducks ball park. My family and I decided to try a couple. The pictures here show The Italian Sausage Dugout from the Bier Garten. For $22 you get the Italian Sausage Dugout (sausage, peppers, onions, marinara, and mozzarella cheese) and a souvenior cup with pop. I was excited and looking forward to this all day, but it was a let down. It wasn't hot in the inside and the French bread tasted like it came out of the freezer. A couple of my other family members got the TeriAkron bowl from the Pineapple Under the C and won't be getting it again. It wasn't as flavorful as one would expect. Overall, a great experience watching the Rubberducks win!

For non-hockey peeps, all the NHL (the highest level in American/Canadian hockey) has 2 associated minor league teams the higher league is the AHL. This team is associated with the Columbus Blue Jackets. This means that throughout the year, some players may be sent to this team or taken from this team. I love that Cleveland has a team (kinda wish they were associated with Pittsburgh, but that is ok). I love the mascot (s), the logo, and the overall fun that is associated with this team. The fun part of AHL is there is more of an aspect of community, fun, and family. The prices of the tickets are more affordable (the nosebleeds, which is the middle of the Q are only $10). It is a good way to get to enjoy the Q without the expensive price tag. There are cheerleaders (which I find weird) and sometimes even kids who are honorary cheerleaders. The media team is decent and shows replays (not all AHL teams have that capability). I suspect that much of the team is shared with the Cavaliers. They have fun promo nights with some geared to children. They even have a game you can take your dog to! I feel like this is not utilized enough as the games should be more filled than they are. The team itself ebs and flows. They recently won a championship, but both games I have been to they lost :-(. It is hard to gauge this as the team can be very different if the CBJ has many injuries. The hockey is fast and quality (these are potential NHL players). I only had to take a point because they are part of CBJ.... and I wish the crowd was larger.

The seats were great however a little tight for those over 240lbs. Either way I squeezed in with close company and cheered on the Cavs. Food and beverage was easy to get to and priced just as you would imagine at a pro venue. That sounds about right because, all time, the Browns fall somewhere in the middle of the NFL's current 32 teams in terms of regular season record and towards the bottom in terms of playoff record. To date, in 33 playoff game appearances, the Browns have only managed to win 12 for a 12-21 record (.364). Before the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, the Browns were actually a successful team, winning the NFL Championship in 1950, 1954, 1955, and 1964. The first three of those championships were won by head coach Paul Brown for whom the team is named after. Brown was a very successful Ohio-born-and-bred football coach. He was the first to lead Ohio State to a national championship in college football (1942). Coincidentally, another Brown, who was instrumental in the Cleveland Browns' history, came along in 1957. That Brown turned out to be one of the greatest running backs of all time, Jim Brown. Jim Brown, who is in both the College Football and Pro Football Halls of Fame, played his entire nine-year NFL career with the Browns (1957-1965). He was drafted by Cleveland with the 6th overall pick in the 1957 NFL draft. He led the Browns to the NFL championship in 1964, was a three-time NFL MVP (1957, 1958, 1965), and led the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in numerous seasons. Jim Brown's No. 32 is one of only five retired numbers in Cleveland Browns history. The Browns had some name coaches in the mid-80s through mid-90s. Namely, Marty Schottenheimer, the winningest NFL coach to not win a championship, and six-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick, who got his NFL head coaching start with the Browns (1991-1995).
