That sounds about right because, all time, the Browns fall somewhere in the middle of the NFL's current 32 teams in terms of regular season record and towards the bottom in terms of playoff record. To date, in 33 playoff game appearances, the Browns have only managed to win 12 for a 12-21 record (.364). Before the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, the Browns were actually a successful team, winning the NFL Championship in 1950, 1954, 1955, and 1964. Jim Brown's No. 32 is one of only five retired numbers in Cleveland Browns history. The Browns had some name coaches in the mid-80s through mid-90s. Namely, Marty Schottenheimer, the winningest NFL coach to not win a championship, and six-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick, who got his NFL head coaching start with the Browns (1991-1995). Uniquely, the Browns were inactive for the 1996-1998 seasons when then-owner Art Modell tried to move the franchise to Baltimore. Since the 1999 NFL "expansion" draft which saw the return of Cleveland to the NFL, the Browns haven't been the same. I don't like all the royalty that lives in Cleveland. I call them the "Cleveland Crowns". But all the little chicks with the crimson lips need to stop sucking on cherry lollipops because it's doing it for Drew Carey and that's just ethically wrong. Not to mention gross. And he likes Seattle anyway. First-Hand Experience: I've seen the Browns play at home (sadly I was not in the Dawg Pound) and I've also seen them get beaten at Ralph Wilson in Buffalo a few years ago. I really like the Browns through and watching them live was a pleasure, and I plan to do it again soon and to this time be inside the famous Dawg Pound. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! Do you like wasting money on player jerseys? Do you enjoy getting excited about something only to find out it's really bad once it arrives? What about a revolving door of mid-management so there's no direction or clarity to a purpose? If you said yes to all of this, than this is the sports team for you. I don't think there is a better example of incompetence and insecurity than this franchise in recorded history. I have no faith that this ownership group has any idea what it wants to do or how to do it. My neighbors 9 year old child has better judgement than this group of owners. I will not be buying any more merchandise that represents this team until there is proof that I'm not wasting my hard earned money on a hopeless cause. Tale of two franchise. The first branch of this franchise was dominate in the 1950s. The best football player in any era. In 1980s had tough losses in big games that changed the direction of the franchise. However, they have very loyal fans (even after the move to Baltimore). Johnny Manziel or trading up to get Rick Couch several years ago. Yet again this upcoming one. So many needs on both sides of the ball. They haven't been to the playoffs since 2002.
